Excellent food. Best fried chicken ever. Service slow and uneven. Live music makes it special.
Terrible!! Food unseasoned, bad directions for the validated parking, and rude people. Wouldn't recommend nobody spending over $20 on bull crap
Excellent waitstaff! Manager even checked on us! Food average.
The waitress was a little reserved and quiet, however, the food was great. I had the Shrimp Po Boy which was a massive portion. The Sweet Potato Fries are a must have. There was a live music starting at 6 PM. I would recommend checking out the House of Blues.
food was fresh and delicious. it was nice that vegetarian choices were available.
Fastest service I have ever gotten in a restaurant! Needed a quick bite to eat as I was in and out of conference panels and the service was exactly what I needed!
Couldn’t stay for the live music but will definitely be back here when I return to New Orleans!
Spend a dinner here with my Sister on April 5th. The Blackened Salmon was fantastic.
Great night out with friends for the last night in New Orleans.
Great place, good music - we loved it!
Service was excellent, food was great, prices were reasonable and the music was very good. All in all the highlight of our vacation in New Orleans.
Me and my husband ate here on our trip to New Orleans. We originally booked because we know that house of blues in Orlando Florida is Great and we wanted to see some live music. When we got there, the entrance is so awesome, cobble stone, nice string lights, murals, I was so excited and it was very cool! When we went in we were seated quickly because of our reservation but it took 20 minutes for a server to come up to us at all. We finally got drinks and ordered an appetizer. The appetizer came out fairly quick and was very good(jalapeño cornbread) but our server came by and took the rest away! Once we were able to order our main course, it came out cold, and my burger (ordered medium) was burnt. I couldn’t even eat it. My husbands pasta was cold as well. A few other customers around had similar issues and we witnessed multiple people have their food taken back. We never once had a drink refil and it took forever to get our check. We don’t normally complain at all and we still enjoyed the atmosphere but I would not go here if you are looking for good food.
It was a great New Orleans experience
Good food, good service, good atmosphere.
Great place. We had delicious meal then saw the show. Very good evening.
The food was AMAZING!! I think it's hard to find bad food anywhere in New Orleans, but this was exceptional! This is gonna be my first stop when I next visit New Orleans! Great food, warm surroundings, good music.
Loved the food and environment!! Listened to an entertainer! Got a few items at the gift shop!
You reported us no show on Open Table and we got an email. Pls correct.
It was nice and quiet
Had a great evening with my group. Our server was so accommodating, friendly and helpful Really enjoyed Jake Landry. He was was amazing.
Cat was so accommodating with my request. I really appreciated it as it was our last evening in New Orleans.
We had a great time. Good blues and food was very good. We only had one complaint. We asked for an order of the cornbread appetizer. Our waitress, Allison, suggested we have the special cornbread with shrimp. We said great. Well we never got it. That was ok but...she never apologized. Simply told us we hadn’t ordered it. Not the best customer service.
I got a “dinner and show” package that was supposed to give me priority seating for the show. It was a confusing system which not even the employees could understand. Even though we showed up early, we weren’t given any priority access to the show.
The restaurant itself seems fine but there is no cooperation between the restaurant and the performance hall. You shouldn’t sell packages that don’t work. Never going back there again.
Food was passable, too noisy to enjoy the music, cocktails pricey
Was there on a Tuesday night and while the live music was very good it was not what I would consider “blues”. Food was good and service was very friendly and attentive.
Food was amazing! I had the fried chicken plate and it was mouth watering!!! The musical performance was also quite good. The place is just awesome to look at no matter where you are. Great to stop by if you are in the Quarter
It was amazing, the musician and staff were perfect!
My friends and I were on a girls trip to New Orleans and had a reservation at the house of blues restaurant for a Saturday night. We waited for 20 minutes before anyone greeted us at our table and only one of us was given a water glass at that time. The food took 40 minutes to come out and the food itself was pretty good. Our waitress Mackenzie was probably the worst waitress I’ve ever encountered. She must’ve been having a bad night or something because 2 other HOB employees visited us before our own waitress.
This brings us to the bill, which was incorrect all around. We each wanted our own bill which I would e Levy is normal at a place like HOB. She took our cards without showing us what we were charged. She completely botched the bill and we didn’t know who was paying for which meal. She had zero empathy for this and just wanted to get to her next table who had seen a mouse scurry under their table and had to move to a different table.
Overall, I would never come to house of blues for a meal ever again.
Food was excellent - even the kids loved their food!
Best ribs I’ve ever eaten ! Glad we came here for dinner.
Really great service!
Our food was very good - service was great. There was NO music - no live music, no recorded music. And it was Saturday night which seems weird for a restaurant based on music. I’m not sure if they normally have music. But - I have to give them credit for giving me a heads up by phone that wouldn’t be any live music due to a special event (which was actually a film shoot).
Our hostess Mackenzie was very attentive, down to earth, and helpful.
Food was horrible. Not worth time. The waitress herself recommended another place
This is a very nice Restaurant. We and our friends went for a Sat. night dinner while on vacation. We had a very nice waiter. The choice of food are different here than other House of Blues or the Menu changed since we went there the last time. We would go back, the live band was great!
Waited 30 min for our drinks, order wrong. Waited another 10, my husband had to go ip and get them. 45 minutes after sitting down our dinner had not arrived. My husband went to manager. 10 minutes later we got our dinner. Food wasn’t bad, but the place wasn’t crowded. People who arrived after us were being served dessert.
Great place for great blues music and awesome food! The venue is a beautiful place with great music related motif. The only drawback is limited seating for people that can't stand very long. And the limited seating available has restricted viewing!!
Great jalapeno cornbread and music. Loved the ceiling.
Tourists trap, can't see performers from most of the tables. Food is average at best
I used to work there. Took me back to the great memories! Awesome ambience, music, service! Food was as delicious as always! We had a super time!
