House of Blues Restaurant & Bar - Las Vegas Ratings and Reviews
While the ambiance was good with live music, the drinks were expensive $14-17 each. We ordered the brisket and salads to share. I was disappointed because the brisket was really dry. I also noticed that after we returned it he did not bother to tell the other patrons that he had a customer return it which I thought was poor service on his part. The shrimp & grits we had to replace it were good and overall we were happy with our dining experience.
Staff was polite but waiter was unfortunately slow and the food was not very warm when it reached the table. There was a convention going on so restaurant was busy but that should not have prevented the staff from being attentive and timely with the food delivery.
We were in Vegas for my mom's 60th birthday. She chose house of blues as her dinner spot. We had KC as our waitress and she was absolutely amazing. Super fun, upbeat, made us laugh, and was very personable. I would come back to Vegas just to sit in her section. The best service I've ever experienced in all the times I've been to Vegas. Thank you for the amazing food and excellent service!
Went for Thanksgiving meal. We chose HOB mainly because of value for what we should have gotten and did not. The food was dried out and they were not keeping up with the supply of food. Was not crowded either. Bread pudding was horrible. So disappointed. We expressed our displeasure and a manager took off one of main fees for the buffet which helped. But left hungry and completely unsatisfied.
Everyone in our party opted for the Thanksgiving day buffet. I thought the overall offerings were good, lots of veggie dishes plus two meats (pork loin and turkey) at the carving station along with cornbread muffins and stuffing. However, not enough serving utensils and some of the dishes were not hot. Maybe to mitigate part of the problem is to have someone managing (being present) so that guests would not switch or move serving tongs/spoons to other dishes and to ensure the lids get closed on the chafing dishes. A bit disappointed that they did not offer pumpkin pie as a dessert option; bread pudding and mini waffles were the only items to satisfy the sweet tooth.
Went for thanksgiving buffet. Right price $25 pp. BUT, it was cheap for a reason. They did not have their act together at all. Buffet jammed in tight space. Food was fair at best, very limited for a buffet. People waiting in long lines for turkey. No gravy. Dessert was cold waffles with strange toppings. Was equivalent to Golden Corral. I've eaten from their regular menu before, much better. In hindsight, should've ordered from that. This place is good for casual lunch or dinner. Stay away for any holidays or special occasions.
The main entrées came out about an hour after we were done with our appetizers. Our server came right before the food came out to tell us it shouldn’t be much longer. One person had substituted an item our server told us she couldn’t after the food already came out. Overall the worst service I have ever experienced. The manager was apologetic and gave us a discount but I will never go back. Oh and one person’s food was cold. A very frustrating and less desirable experience.
The air conditioner was so cold you could see your drink moving from the breeze. Our server we think forgot us as we were all done eating at least 10 minutes or more before she even came and checked (this was a monday night so it is not as if it was busy). Perk however was the free pass to the club on the 63rd floor where they were also giving ladies a free drink. (It was Monday so again slow night).
Went to Vegas with friends for the Santana concert. Decided to have dinner at the House of Blues. Our reservations were at 4:00, so it wasnt busy. The waiter recommended the Beef Brisket. My husband and I ordered the platter. The meat wasn't marbled, it was full on hunks of fat throughout. More fat than meat. I was only able to eat 2 pieces because of this. My husbands was the same. I could go on to describe the disappointing meals the rest of the party had, but will only speak for myself. The coffee tasted like water. The food all came out randomly so food was getting cold while waiting for others meals to arrive. Then the waiter rushed us the whole meal. Terrible food, terrible service. Won't go back. Way too many other places to eat in Vegas.
My salad was fantastic. I was undecided between 2 entrees, asked the waiter and he suggested the salad with steak. My daughter had tacos which she loved. A little spicy but she said very good. Both my husband and gson were not real happy with what they ordered. Gson's meal did not look appetizing. Salmon and that's all that was on the plate - a very small piece of salmon. My husband's was a smoked brisquet sandwich, looked good, but he said not really. Waiter was really very good. Except we had no utensils and they were brought 10 minutes after the food.
The food was not as good as House of Blues in New Orleans. The prices were ok for Las Vegas. One of my guests said the Key Lime Pie was DELICIOUS, the other said the chicken was sweet and the worst he ever had. My brisket was fine. The service was very good. For casual dining in Vegas this spot is adequate.
