My husband had a half slab of ribs which he said was delicious. I had a brisket sandwich and it was disappointing, it was chopped and over half of it was fat. The fries were also dry and flavorless as was the coleslaw!
The fried chicken was outstanding. Best I've ever tasted. Service was great, too.
Had Christmas dinner here. The buffet did not have a lot of selection and the food was not labeled properly. One said Green Bean casserole and it was very spicy green beans. Thought $30 per person was a lot for what was offered. The bread pudding and squash soup were very good.
Excellent southern style Christmas day buffet..nice selections.
The Gospel Brunch Live Music was fantastic. Great singers and the hostess of the show was so personable. The dinning scene was a bi chaotic, but as promised it did settle down. All do it yourself, but it was fun. My husbands birthday. They honor birthdays, new marriages, anniversaries and that was an unexpected treat. Crowd was nice and into it all.
Are server Alenka was outstanding!! She made the evening great!
Small selection of gluten free which I require. Had beef tacos very good but no friends they share fryer w non GF items. Guitar player very good. Husband had wings which looked great but not GF. More GF chicken choices needed. Also FONT VERY SMALL and GF symbol was like a 4 font very hard to read. Nice music would like more GF options.
The food was great and the waitress was super nice! But the restaurant was nearly empty and the live performer was so loud that we had to wear earplugs. The entertainment department needs work as far as noise levels.
Great location at Mandalay Bay. There was music in the afternoon. The shrimp Po Boy was huge.
Love the food but hoping they'll bring back the calamari
The place was great except the fact I had to pay $10 for parking. I just feel if Im paying a premium for a meal I shouldn't have to pay to park. I wouldn't go back due to this and would alert others to be prepared to add that cost to there budget if going there.
I did enjoy the atmosphere and the food was great.
Great atmosphere was there after the band started. It’s pretty low key and the prices aren’t bad I enjoyed my brisket tacos and we got a souvenir photo with dinner.
It was great but the Groupon meal is very small
While the ambiance was good with live music, the drinks were expensive $14-17 each. We ordered the brisket and salads to share. I was disappointed because the brisket was really dry. I also noticed that after we returned it he did not bother to tell the other patrons that he had a customer return it which I thought was poor service on his part. The shrimp & grits we had to replace it were good and overall we were happy with our dining experience.
Angel took great care of us! So much so we will always try to sit in his section in the future.
Staff was polite but waiter was unfortunately slow and the food was not very warm when it reached the table. There was a convention going on so restaurant was busy but that should not have prevented the staff from being attentive and timely with the food delivery.
Good food (especially the jambalaya) for a reasonable price in Las Vegas. The live music in the main dinner area was quite good and entertaining, not so much in the main theater (dueling pianos) which was offensive, not funny.
We were in Vegas for my mom's 60th birthday. She chose house of blues as her dinner spot. We had KC as our waitress and she was absolutely amazing. Super fun, upbeat, made us laugh, and was very personable. I would come back to Vegas just to sit in her section. The best service I've ever experienced in all the times I've been to Vegas. Thank you for the amazing food and excellent service!
Food was sub par. Steak ws average, vegetable was brutally over-salted. Service was good.
Everything was excellent including the food! We ordered pancakes with berries and steak and eggs. Great portions and very tasty!
Went for Thanksgiving meal. We chose HOB mainly because of value for what we should have gotten and did not. The food was dried out and they were not keeping up with the supply of food. Was not crowded either. Bread pudding was horrible. So disappointed. We expressed our displeasure and a manager took off one of main fees for the buffet which helped. But left hungry and completely unsatisfied.
Went for Thanksgiving buffet. They ran out of turkey. The rest of the food was dry. Ashley our server was the only bright spot.
I was very pleased. I flew in to Las Vegas to spend the day with my niece and had made reservations online. We enjoyed our meal immensely. The wait staff was very friendly, not just our server but all the ones in our area.
Everyone in our party opted for the Thanksgiving day buffet. I thought the overall offerings were good, lots of veggie dishes plus two meats (pork loin and turkey) at the carving station along with cornbread muffins and stuffing. However, not enough serving utensils and some of the dishes were not hot. Maybe to mitigate part of the problem is to have someone managing (being present) so that guests would not switch or move serving tongs/spoons to other dishes and to ensure the lids get closed on the chafing dishes. A bit disappointed that they did not offer pumpkin pie as a dessert option; bread pudding and mini waffles were the only items to satisfy the sweet tooth.
Staff seemed a bit unprepared and disjointed, but the Thanksgiving buffet was wonderful! My friend and I thought the mashed potatoes and gravy were the best we've had anywhere! It was a great choice and great place to spend Thanksgiving.
We went on thanksgiving. They missed the mark. The food was not good and the service/waitress was horrible.
Food was horrible! Greasy chicken, tasteless steamed vegetables, and the meat were rubbery.
Not ready for us at reservation time.
Wait staff was overwhelmed and not able to keep up with food demand at the buffet.
Decent food, great prices, slow service and mediocre customer service.
Went for thanksgiving buffet. Right price $25 pp. BUT, it was cheap for a reason. They did not have their act together at all. Buffet jammed in tight space. Food was fair at best, very limited for a buffet. People waiting in long lines for turkey. No gravy. Dessert was cold waffles with strange toppings. Was equivalent to Golden Corral. I've eaten from their regular menu before, much better. In hindsight, should've ordered from that. This place is good for casual lunch or dinner. Stay away for any holidays or special occasions.
Great ! Breakfast was outstanding! The endless mimosa a must !
Live music has been great every time! Food is always right on target. Not for small appetites.
The main entrées came out about an hour after we were done with our appetizers. Our server came right before the food came out to tell us it shouldn’t be much longer. One person had substituted an item our server told us she couldn’t after the food already came out. Overall the worst service I have ever experienced. The manager was apologetic and gave us a discount but I will never go back. Oh and one person’s food was cold. A very frustrating and less desirable experience.
Shrimp n Grits was amazing, singer was cool also. BOMB
Very lively place. Great food and music.
We went there before a concert, very convenient.
Great food before attending concerts.
We had the Salmon and substituted mash potatoes for the side. Wine is decent price and service was great. Will definitely be back
LOVE LOVE LOVE House of Blues in Mandalay Bay Hotel. Tracy made us laugh and feel like family in this fun environment. The BBQ pulled pork sandwich is Ah-Maz-Ing! It was easy to make reservations on Open Table too
The air conditioner was so cold you could see your drink moving from the breeze. Our server we think forgot us as we were all done eating at least 10 minutes or more before she even came and checked (this was a monday night so it is not as if it was busy). Perk however was the free pass to the club on the 63rd floor where they were also giving ladies a free drink. (It was Monday so again slow night).
