House of Blues Restaurant & Bar - Las Vegas Ratings and Reviews
The main entrées came out about an hour after we were done with our appetizers. Our server came right before the food came out to tell us it shouldn’t be much longer. One person had substituted an item our server told us she couldn’t after the food already came out. Overall the worst service I have ever experienced. The manager was apologetic and gave us a discount but I will never go back. Oh and one person’s food was cold. A very frustrating and less desirable experience.
The air conditioner was so cold you could see your drink moving from the breeze. Our server we think forgot us as we were all done eating at least 10 minutes or more before she even came and checked (this was a monday night so it is not as if it was busy). Perk however was the free pass to the club on the 63rd floor where they were also giving ladies a free drink. (It was Monday so again slow night).
Went to Vegas with friends for the Santana concert. Decided to have dinner at the House of Blues. Our reservations were at 4:00, so it wasnt busy. The waiter recommended the Beef Brisket. My husband and I ordered the platter. The meat wasn't marbled, it was full on hunks of fat throughout. More fat than meat. I was only able to eat 2 pieces because of this. My husbands was the same. I could go on to describe the disappointing meals the rest of the party had, but will only speak for myself. The coffee tasted like water. The food all came out randomly so food was getting cold while waiting for others meals to arrive. Then the waiter rushed us the whole meal. Terrible food, terrible service. Won't go back. Way too many other places to eat in Vegas.
My salad was fantastic. I was undecided between 2 entrees, asked the waiter and he suggested the salad with steak. My daughter had tacos which she loved. A little spicy but she said very good. Both my husband and gson were not real happy with what they ordered. Gson's meal did not look appetizing. Salmon and that's all that was on the plate - a very small piece of salmon. My husband's was a smoked brisquet sandwich, looked good, but he said not really. Waiter was really very good. Except we had no utensils and they were brought 10 minutes after the food.
The food was not as good as House of Blues in New Orleans. The prices were ok for Las Vegas. One of my guests said the Key Lime Pie was DELICIOUS, the other said the chicken was sweet and the worst he ever had. My brisket was fine. The service was very good. For casual dining in Vegas this spot is adequate.
My wife and I had never been to a House of Blues chain restaurant before, so we decided to give it a try for a casual dinner. If you subtract the the live music, which begins at 9 pm, you're left with a dining experience that is comparable to many other casual dining chain restaurants. The server said the menu had recently changed, so he had not tried all of the offerings himself. He was very knowledgeable and offered friendly service. We went with some of his recommendations and found the selections to be mid level spicy. The decor takes its cues from the chain's New Orleans roots. The place is very suitable to watch football games and eat comfort food, but it lacks the charm of having a local influence on the chain site. The food was fine to eat, but nothing especially flavorful or noteworthy to report.
I checked in with the hostess at 7pm. She took me past the empty tables and went to the back of the room. She then lead me around the corner to a table that wasn't even in line of sight view of the stage. Being African American I was disappointed. I asked the hotess to seat. me at a table closer to the stage. Everything was fine after that. Drinks were expensive. Overll had a good time.
Great night out with genuinely first rate service from Bryan who took care of our every need and offered great advice on both the food and drinks. Capped off by a authentic blues from The Bo Wilson Incident band. Do yourself a favour guys and book a night out when these guys are in town.
The service was prompt and the waiter very friendly. Drinks were well made. We had the pimento appetizer, the cheese was to hard to spread or dip. It did taste good. I got a flatbread with smoked sausage. It was pretty bland. My friend had a steak salad, it looked really good but the spinach leaves were so tart it took away from the flavor of everything else. The third person had a Shrimp and pasta dish that was tasty but the portion size was very small.
Staff was friendly enough, the atmosphere was super cool, but the food was just kinda bland, overly spicy and greasy.
the cornbread was cold and dry like it’s been sitting out for a while.
I wouldn’t have been so super critical of the food But when it’s $20 a plate should be excellent Food!
We were here for a blues pro jam and to meet out of towners. The food was fine and a value for strip food. Our server was attentive all evening. There was an error with my order, but it was quickly corrected. The Entertainment was outstanding. As locals, we do not appreciate the new parking fee, but to hear some of our favorite musicians jam together in a smoke free room, was worth it.
Enjoyed every moment of it and will definitely be going to any House of Blues I find myself around. This being said even though my steak was way over cooked. But thought it came out well and not medium rare it was still pretty tasty. Bonus for Cameron Calloway playing that night as well
Service was horrendous, food was cold. Dinners ordered included Salmon and beef brisket. Brisket was stone cold. Salmon was stone cold and raw in the middle. This after a two hour wait. We seated at 4:55pm for early dinner prior to Billy Idol. Food arrived 7:05! Everything sent back. They took $65 off the bill but charged for four dinners (both the dinners sent back and their replacements stayed on the bill. We didn't even want the salmon replaced). So the adjustment was more like 20 bucks. Totally absurd. Stay away from this place.
We had dinner at the HOB Las Vegas prior to seeing Stone Sour perform at their venue. My husband and I are huge HOB fans, and have visited several locations in several states. HOB Las Vegas has been one of my favorites so far. Food and service were wonderful, and if you are a spicy food enthusiast, this location had a better selection than any I've been to so far. Would definitely visit again next time I'm in Vegas.
Hostesses said we had a choice of acoustic music or dueling pianos. We chose acoustic only to find out it was a blues set with electric guitars/amps. Obviously the hostess has no clue what acoustic means, but we enjoyed the blues. They seated us at a crappy table with no view of the stage even though we had a reservation. We were seated next to a table of dudes wearing shorts & t-shirts even though my girlfriend was in a nice dress and I was in a sport coat. Then they say another table with some huge people who crowded our table. The lack of awareness by the hostess about where to seat a well dressed couple with reservations ruined the dinner. We might as well have been eating at a fast food restaurant based on the attire of the people sitting around us. Poor service.
