Our waiter seemed irritated that I have some dietary restrictions. His demeanor was that he didn't want to ask the kitchen questions before I could order. After we got past that, the service was alright.
The food was amazing! My daughter and I both ordered the grilled salmon. I changed up my side to grilled vegetables while she opted for the macaroni and cheese. We agreed that the salmon was cooked perfectly! My veggies were great, and she adored her mac & cheese.
Next time we attend a show at House of Blues, we will definitely plan on eating beforehand there again!
Perfect table! Perfect food! Would definitely recommend this for anyone to enjoy a great experience!
The problem was we had a reservation and were sat next to the kitchen so our conversation was interrupted every 2 minutes by the loud yelling of the word service. The food was ok, but the waiter couldn't get our eating pass right either. It felt rushed as opposed to a nice dinner. The band was great but the overall eating experience was not. I would not go back.
My meals was very oily and the protein had a lot of fat. Everyone else seemed pleased with their meals. The wait staff was wonderful and on top of it!
I really enjoyed your place the food was great music was really good and I enjoyed the atmosphere I will be recommending it and coming back soon
Service was way slow... we ended up leaving after ordering drinks
I'm originally from Chicago so the house of Blues in the city of Chicago is a completely different experience. From the hostess to the server to the food, the whole experience didn't scream house of blues standards. Our server was really nice and had a few recommendations that we appreciated but seemed to lack overall quality...didn't have silverware with food, didn't come to ask how our food was after it was served...so didn't get the proper suaces and silverware. Food was pretty decent no real complaints but the ambiance was very casual...Texas road house feels. I understand that the Houston house of blues is gonna be a little different from the Chicago one but service definitely could have been better. Would probably not dine again or recommend.
Overall dinner was good Saturday night. The Voodoo Shrimp appetizer was outstanding and my burger and sweet potato fries were great. The only complaints we had were the Grilled Mahi sandwich was extremely dry and my Crossroads Margarita was a complete waste of money.
We love this place and the ambiance, but we really dont like the services. We have to wait long to get our order ready our drinks etc. I ask for a side salad and I didnt get it until I get my entree meal. Also I only drink a beer because I never see a server coming to ask if we like another one, I have to go and get it myself to the bar. Nice food and music but service sucks.
My waiter Richard was great!!!! He made my experience memorable.
We had several appetizers for a meal and they were all very good. Be happy hour special was a great value. The service was wonderful we really enjoyed it. A great place to go before the show.
The food was amazing! I was really impressed but I sort of expected soggy fries and the fries were crispy. I got the yard bird and it was a great choice! The band was very entertaining but a little on the loud side. Over all an excellent experience! We'll be back for sure!
This was my first lunch visit. Excellent and friendly service. Great food selection.
Great free live music in restaurant. Muffelatta sandwich was great to split.
Great atmosphere! We really enjoyed socializing in there prior to the concert.
Amazing VIBE AND GREAT FOOD👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Food was a step or 2 above Chili’s type restaurants. 2 man band was pretty loud, hard to have a conversation
Food is terrible there.
Food and atmosphere was great. Our server was a little slow and inattentive.
Loved the band and everything. Drinks are expensive but in all was great
The ribs are tough ... but the flavor totally makes up for it! I like a good key lime pie and theirs is a good recipe ... when it is followed. Apparently, the preparer didn't have time to mix all the ingredients so you get a strong taste of lime in one bite and hardly any in the next. Had it been done right, it would have been a masterpiece. The atmosphere is a winner. There was live music and it was not overbearing on the ears even though they had a few technical issues with microphones. Sound check anyone? David is an exceptional server! Convenient to parking. Will visit again soon.
Food was great, very fresh and waiter prompt, courteous and attentive.
Band was FANTASTIC!! Bring them back more often!
Love the Houston Jazz Orchestra. Wish they were there more often...
We enjoyed the venue.
Great service and food. Had a great time. Can't wait to go again!
The music was great. Just When they brought us the food they first brought the main plates before the entrance. My husband ordered an entree soup and there was Cold.
It was my friend's birthday party and we were 20 people, and I had called several times to make sure that everything was going to be perfect, but unfortunately the task was too great for the staff that night. they put us in two separate tables of 10 side by side right in front of the playing band, which was incredibly loud. Only one table had a waiter that was giving okay service and the other table was completely neglected. After speaking with the manager, which was very defensive, she was just giving excuses about why the other waiter didn't know that he had a table of 10 people. I wanted solutions not excuses. Finally when the waiter was aware of the table he still failed to give the proper attention needed to a table that was neglected for over 30 minutes after they were sat. The manager was very intense when asking him for help and it seemed as if he was offended by any of us asking what the problem was with service. The food was delicious and the ambiance is great, the music is cool too but a little loud. All it needs is to have consistent good service in this place will be at least a 4-star restaurant. I hope that this issue gets resolved ASAP as I would like to go back there and not have to worry about the service.
They ran out of one of our food orders but it wasn't brought to our attention till the entire party was served. Service was extremely slow. Drinks were forgotten. Then when it came time to get our checks they were wrong. It took another 30 minutes to fix them. We were there for almost 3 hours due to all the errors. I believe that our waitress was undertrained and when the manager became aware of the situation she should have stayed on top of it more.
Our first time and we absolutely enjoyed the atmosphere and food. It was very cozy. We went at about 4pm so there wasn’t too many people. We had the brisket nachos and my husband had the juju burger I believe it’s called. Both were very delicious and great for the price. Our waiter was very nice and courteous. We will definitely be back.
Great pulled pork and sweet potato fries! Great burger and awesome key lime pie!
The impossible burger was great! Staff check on us regularly. We were the first table (6 of us) and our food came out quickly and a nice temp.
This was our 1st time visiting the restaurant and we were pleasantly surprised. The only issue that I had was that my fried chicken was too salty, and even though they sent it back and cooked a new batch parts of it still remained very salty. We will plan to visit again though.
Prompt. Courteous. Good Food. Fun Atmosphere. Good Happy Hour deals.
This was our date night and so much fun. The salmon was wonderful. We had it with the roasted vegetables. Well done!
I had the chicken sandwich without the bun. The chicken was super moist and the breading was extra crispy. My husband had the jambalaya and said it had the perfect amount of spice and was very flavorful. We had managers stop by several times to make sure our food and service was good. We dined early because we were going to a cocert, but We would go again just for dinner.
The Brisket Nacho appetizer was excellent. It was enough for an entree for 2 people - and we didn't finish it all. David was our server - great personality without being too intrusive - made good recommendations (he didn't say "everything is good," he gave us helpful specifics based on what we said we were hungry for).
This was a wonderful evening with superb service! Couldn’t have asked for a better time or drinks!
Great way to relax before a show at HOB. Food was OK and room has a nice feel.
Great food, good music, fun times.
Staff was great
