I had the shrimp and grits, my friend had the ribs. We both enjoyed our meals and the service was great with a smile!
Nice atmosphere- There were a total of 7 diners having both dinner and cocktails. Drinks were splendid, however, 2 of the guests did not care for their entrees- The chicken wings were way too salty and the brisket nacho's had a very sweet sauce on the brisket
One of the very best experiences that my wife and I have ever had! Many thanks to Sara our VIP hostess! She made us feel like royalty! Would do the vip experience again in a heart beat!! Thanks house of blues and all staff for a wonderful anniversary!!!
Our service was outstanding and the food was amazing! Our dinner was the best part of our evening.
Food was delicious, waitress was very friendly and helpful.
We would have gone to a different restaurant if we had more time to research the surrounding area. The menu was very limited and making changes to the items on the menu took a manager.
We ordered drinks ... Seagrams 7 & 7, and a Chile Malbec. We got the drinks and it was Canadian Club (which was fine) and a different Malbec (maybe California). It was ok but I would’ve preferred to have a choice if they didn’t have what I ordered. When we got the bill there were the two original dink’s added to what we ended up getting. I think the waitress should probably have checked that out before she brought the check! She fixed it... the food was good though and we went to the show after which was ok, but absolutely FREEZING in the venue. Everyone was complaining about how cold it was! Maybe they were expecting more people and more body heat??!! We left early because we were cold!
Fun place with live music and half decent food
Decided to grab a quick lunch before next meetings and 4th Street is packed with neat places. Decided on House of Blues. Neat decor throughout with lively music playing. They offer lunch specials which include combinations where you chose a main and a side. I went with the brisket tacos and side of gumbo and enjoyed them both! Great service too!
The food was delicious and the service was great. But I expected blues music to be playing since it was the House of Blues afterall. So the ambiance was really lacking because the music being played was loud and it was not the blues, which was disappointing.
Good food drinks and atmosphere. Then headed over to the Alarm concert.
Service was very slow. It took 45 minutes to get our food. We only ordered a salad and a chicken sandwich.
Food was undercooked and service wasn’t that great
We had a great time at the House Of Blues. Our waitress was fantastic the greater was less than desirable. She had a very bad attitude other than that it was a fantastic night
Excellent food, great drinks. Our server Taylor was great.
Very slow service. Had to ask multiple times for the same thing. Food had poor presentation and taste!
The food was ABSOLUTELY out if this world.. Our only critique was the waitress seemed new and she took a long time to bring refills, and bringing our checks. Overall we will definitely be back!
The house of blues had been a great experience! The food was excellent, the staffing considerate and understanding, the weather (uncontrollable) beautiful! The only thing is I would recommend going two separate times if you had not sat inside the building itself and looking ahead of time for concerts. Overall beautiful!
Got seated right away but server took awhile to come and get our drink order. Then when our food came we still didn’t have silverware. Our waitress never came to check on us after our food came and it took forever to get our check.
Here for World Yo-yo Contest
Disappointed that they didn't have their chicken. Wasn't case the ran out just did' have any prepared in order to serve.
Service was exceptional! Food was good. Brisket nachos and ribs were the winners. Burger great, pulled pork and shrimp po boy average.
What a great place for music loving foodies. The decor is groovy and full of music history. Music is always playing and the staff is very energetic and friendly. I would make the trip just for the nachos!
The sound for the Ace Frehley show was : needed to be tuned for the room: as a sound tech and a "Disco DJ" & record store owner for 33yrs. I can count the times a show that my ears hurt. Both my daughter & I lost some hearing from the sound levels.I even stuffed paper in my ears. The bass was spot on.
Of course I was close to the stage ,BUT I have been doing this since 1972 and can count the times my ears rang after a show. Meatloaf, early ELO,Kiss & Ace. Maybe the EV speakers are not worthy. I prefer JBL & Yamaha myself. Thanks for the show.
The service we received was awesome, the host, bartenders, waitress...all great. The value and taste were average to slightly below. My wife had a flatbread and said it was "good, not great". I had their Brisket Smokehouse menu item. The brisket was chewy and lacked smoke. The cornbread and beans were ok, the slaw lacked flavor and the beans were pleasant. Portion sizes were fine, but I was disappointed in the flavor of my meal.
Sadly, our experience was not what we have come to expect from HOB. We were seated promptly, as we had a reservation. We waited several minutes for our server to come by; he helped us with choosing a beer then left for quite a while before returning with the beer. He left again before taking our food order; when he finally came back he asked if we were ready to order, which we were. It took quite a long time before my Wedge Salad was delivered to the table. The three Romaine wedges were turning brown around the edges; there was a small handful of grape tomato halves; there were no blue cheese crumbles and not a speck of bacon crumbles. Our server, Sam, never returned to the table. Someone else from the kitchen delivered our meals; the Mushroom & Corn Flatbread was tasty, as was my husband's pulled pork platter no one ever came by to refill our water. We had to ask another waitress to bring my husband the BBQ sauce for his pulled pork. Still no sign of our waiter. We finished our meals and had to ask another waitress to get someone to find our check.
There are many dining options in downtown Cleveland. Service and high quality food is critical to a successful restaurant - we did not experience either.
I actually got really sick after having dinner there. Pretty sure someone didn’t wash there hands or the mushrooms on the food.
Service was good, food was spicy & very loud.
Both the food and service was excellent. The cajun pasta was the best pasta-dish ever. I would love to go back.
Restaurant side was excellent. Then the music venue side was selling $11 warm beer. You don't get to wow me with food and then blow it immediately after. Warm beer may be fine for guys in their 20's but it sucks for those of us that know better. Also....what's up with selling 24oz beer cans and pouring 20 ounces into a 20oz cup and the rest down the drain? Do better.
Food was ok but not great. Price was in line with other places.
We didn't actually go into the restaurant - we sat outside on a lovely evening! Our server was very attentive and we had more than enough time to eat our meal and get to the theatre. Love the happy hour menu - many places don't offer that on a Friday night, but House of Blues does! Will return sometime for sure!
Nice atmosphere, good service! Good variety of cocktails, and the Voodoo Shrimp appetizer was amazing!!
Matt the manager and server Alex were both amazing. Came before a show and enjoyed everything. Staff recommended items were on point. We loved our experience and will be back again. Yardbird and Juicy Lucy sandwiches were delicious. Service deserves “10” stars. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!
The food was not my cup of tea. But that doesn't mean this place isn't a great place to eat. It is a very cool restaurant. If you like the spicy BBQ then you will love the brisket. It taste was very good but just a little to spicy for me. I traded my wife and ate her burger it was much more my style. The skillet cookie was simply awesome. But I would recommend this for anyone to try. Staff and servers were very nice and greet at there job.
Everything was great! We were lucky to have a table outside - service was great, food was great, great location. We had a mix up with one of our orders that was quickly resolved. Easy, casual dinner that was a perfect stop on our way to an Indians game.
The food was good with good service. The music was horrible, I would expect to hear blues and rock and roll music, not preppy music.
I’m sorry to say I don’t have any more than I thought it was going on with my mom is that I was told I was going on vacation but it would have to go back tonight.
Nice place to go before an Indians Game. Great food and good service , close enough to walk to the game.
Very disappointed my 68th birthday. They wanted 50$a seat. And drinks 11.00. We all 4 stood up. Not what i excepted
