House of Blues Restaurant & Bar - Cleveland Ratings and Reviews
We ate here before the show and was very disappointed in the food and service...slow and things forgotten...hoping it was not a normal thing and if back for a show my try it again...always like to give a place a second chance to see if it was an off night...but may think twice on that for the food/value.
The food was good once it arrived, Except my husbands entrée got cold before they brought the BBQ sauce that they had forgotten to the table. The restaurant was not very busy when you got there at 5:00. Two of our three dinner orders was not correct and were lacking items that were listed on the menu. A salad with salmon had to be re ordered, it took so long to come back to the table that others were finished eating and it still was missing cheese and other listed items. Husbands brisket came with no sauce and by the time the sauce was brought to the table the meal was cold. They could not seem to find the right bottle of wine and then left the bottle sitting unopened for about ten minutes at our table. The waitress was kind and apologetic, manager as well....however, if I am going to spend almost $200.00 for a meal, I do want it to be good and correct!! Overall this was an amusing evening as they just could not seem to get it all together.... but, I will not be eating here again. It was not worth the early entrance to the show....
The food and the service were good. I wouldn’t say great, but good. My dad’s burger was a bit dry but my pulled pork sandwich was good. The service was a bit slow considering that when we got there, the restaurant wasn’t very busy. That being said, our server was very nice and friendly.
Check in after reservations was great, considering we were 15 minutes early. Aaron was exceptional. He was friendly, super fast, had a ton of energy and very helpful. There was another guy working as well, he was just the same. Very laid back, friendly environment. I didn't feel rushed or pressured to order or leave once I was done eating. The associates in the gift shop were also really cool. Everyone was very kind and patient. Grade A service I received.
As a party of three ordering just sandwiches, you'd think there would be no issue. The waitress didn't seem rushed or busy and there were some empty tables around us. But low and behold, two meals came out and my dinner was missing. My guests ate nearly half their meal before the waitress came to check and sarcastically said, oh your missing your meal, I wonder what happened? Very disappointing because I asked for a comp dessert for my friends who had totally finished their meal when my arrived. And the waitress never came back except to drop a check. Embarrassing for me.
My wife and I had reservations for dinner before the Ben Folds concert on a Sunday evening.
We live in Youngstown. The experience was well worth the trip.
We shared an app and a meal (the portions were fairly large). I recommend items from the ‘smokehouse’ portion. Very good!
Drinks were handled perfectly by the bar and were very good. I ordered the BoomBoom Mule and was so taken by it, I ordered 2 more before the show, and they came with a complementary copper mug!
Dining experience was great. Laid back, casual environment with great service and Ben Folds was fantastic.
For a fun night out with excellent musical entertainment, HOB Cleveland is the spot!
We had reservations...waited for 20 minutes...the hostess was frazzled. After being seated when we got a server, drinks took forever, we never got the water we asked for....Food was sub par. The server never checked on us, I had to hunt down another server who was helpful at getting our water and drinks....after we tried to eat the food. We ended up hurrying to see the show.
Venue was great for the show...restaurant needs some organization.
Service was slow but it was a busy show night. Drinks are expensive. Spent 15.00 on a “mule”. There is a 20.00 min./ pp food/bev order if you want early entry to the concert venue. If you like being mulled, pushed, and harassed by people on the general admission floor, this is the place for you!!
We ate dinner here before a concert and had a very good experience. Our food was delicious, especially the "Tot Mess" and the steak. Our server was really friendly without being too casual. She answered all of our questions knowledgeably and provided us with excellent service. We also were able to access the concert venue through the restaurant, so we didn't have to go outside and wait in line.
Great start to a great evening of music. Jambalia, Ribs, and Steak all well-prepared side dishes were great, I think everyone cleaned their plates. Service was prompt, complete and friendly. Our server checked back with us in a very timely manner and never missed a beat thoroughly covering menu options and specials. Lovely dinner, then off to a great performance of Pink Floyd classics and obscurities by Northern Ohio's own Wish You Were Here! All in all a fine evening.
Originally booked 4 at 5:00pm. Added 3 additional friends for a total of 7. Was told nothing available at 5pm for 7 so rescheduled time. We were literally the only group seated in the entire restaurant and were seated in the back room. Don’t understand how nothing was available??? When done with dinner the place wasn’t even half full. Kind of confusing....
We waited for a server for over 10 minutes and then once we place our order waited another 10 minutes without even getting our beverages. When I went to the bar to inquire where frank our server was the manager happened to walk over and said he noticed we weren’t being served and said that he was on his way over. After waiting another 5 minutes my husband and I left and went to Bwws to watch the game.
We were excited to try this restaurant. Someone recommended the jambalaya and it's a favorite of my husband so we we're looking forward to it. It was good but nothing outstanding. The cornbread however was excellent. The restaurant seemed to have a fruit fly issue. They kept swarming around us and a couple ended up in my wine. We asked to move tables which was no better. Our server kept disappearing outside to talk to the girls working outside. It was just an ok experience overall. Probably won't go back unless it's for a specific music event.
