The husband and I came here on a Wednesday night at 5:30 PM. There was a bit of a crowd, waiting to be seated, but the restaurant itself was pretty empty. We had booked a reservation via open table and when we checked in with the host, I guess they did not process our check in. When you walk into the main dining room, it is incredibly spacious, peaked ceilings line with plaque of blues artists in soft blue lighting, and a small performance stage. We loved that there was live music, performed by Keithen Banks.

We were seated at a high top table. It's pretty solid seating, you get a great view of the stage, my only complaint is that it was close to impossible to read the menu due to zero lighting. We had thought it was because our eyes had not adjusted to the room, but I mean, it was pretty dark out when we walked in.

Our server ( Aria) was awesome. She was super attentive, made excellent recommendations, and she explained how the "pass the line" tickets worked. My husband ordered the HOB burger with provolone cheese and I went with the Brisket Sandwich. The HOB burger was a decent size, meat was grilled nicely, and well seasoned. My Brisket Sandwich was huge. The meat was tender, good meat to fat ratio, but I had an issue with how it was drenched in BBQ sauce. Which in my opinion took away from the flavor of the meat. Both sandwiches came with French fries, sliced pickles, and ketchup on the side. We weren't a fan of the fries. It was nothing impressive.

Visiting Chicago and my wife and we met a friend at the House of Blues for a great night of blues and some good food and drinks. I must admit that I was expecting it to be touristy, but found the bands to be authentic, entertaining and skilled.

The Po’ Boy sandwich had tasty fried shrimp and a light, flaky crusty bun that was completely enjoyable. Our waiter was a lot of fun and at the end of the nught shared some of his favorite blues bars in Chicagoland (besides the House, of course).

Blues music and culture is alive and well and Chicago and the House of Blues lived up to its excellent reputation. My wife and her girlfriend that we met there both love jazz and blues and they each enjoyed the music tremendously. I don’t have much of an ear for music, but even I could tell that the sound system was excellent.

Sunny and his band ambled theough the audience after their first 90 minute set and mingled with the crowd including stopping by our table to chat for a while.

At the House of Blues, I felt like I experienced Chicago. Isn’t that cool?

The food was great, and both the manager and the staff couldn't have been nicer. I'm going back again. Hats off to Andrew and his wait staff.

Everything was wonderful from beginning to end...the hostess, waitress, food and drinks! No complaints. So far I've had the pleasure of dining at Crossroads three times. Definitely one of my favorite spots!

The staff was very kind to let me push back my reservation since we were a little late getting into town. I was not aware that their menu had changed thought, so that was unexpected. I like spicy food but can’t eat it anymore, so I had limited options. Our server recommended brisket, which I ended up getting, and it was delicious! They serve a lot of food at a reasonable price. My fiends enjoyed their meals too. It is neat that they have live music and it wasn’t too hard to hear my friends over the music once they put barriers in front of the amps.

Service is always slow. Food is the same as a Chili's. Women's bathroom had no toilet paper in it, but my husband said he had a full service attendant in his bathroom. The music was very loud, almost painful. But it's convenient before a concert at their venue and I had a coupon.

My bf and I loved the fact that we could see the concert and then go downstairs for even more music and great food. We both had the Cajun pasta and loved it. Awesome atmosphere.

Medium sized dining room with closeness to performers. Performers constantly engaged customers in the audience throughout their set. Good food at reasonable prices.

Excellent food, came all the way from the Netherlands to enjoy a really great meal.
Compliments to the kitchen staff on a great steak and the serving staff, they were on top of everything.
We were hoping to see Dan Aykroyd while we were there, but no such luck.

I was visiting Chicago for the first time on a work trip and I sent up reservations for the time of a Rolling Stones cover band with my coworkers. We were running late from sight-seeing and I called the restaurant part of House of Blues to let them know. It was no problem at all to push back my reservation for a bit (they were very accommodating). We showed up and were led to a table in direct view of the stage with the place already rocking. It was also during Halloween time, so a woman dressed as a harlequin made balloon animals for us as soon as we sat down. The band playing was great and the food was just as good.

Recommended by our Uber driver as one of, if not the, best places to listen to blues in Chicago. Superb location, close to the Chicago River, easily accessible and plenty of room. Not all the tables have the best views of the stage, but the acoustics in the restaurant are more than fine.

Anticipating some live music on the restaurant stage on a Saturday night we were disappointed to see none at least not before 8pm when we left. The service was not inattentive but as it got busier we were mostly forgotten about. The food was about average, reminiscent of southern/Cajun but nothing that we got was especially impressive.

So we spend a weekend downtown Chicago and decided to try this place out. They definitely did not disappoint!
We had the voodoo shrimp which was delicious, the Nashville hot wings and believe me they were hot!
Even the main dishes and sides were very delicious. It was also nice because there was a gentleman on guitar that played music while we were eating. Our server was attentive I would definitely recommend this place

Extremely overpriced food and drinks from a limited menu where almost every plate includes hot sauce or hot peppers. For example, coleslaw and pickles are drenched in hot sauce. Why?
They try to make up for a bland menu by putting hot sauce on everything. In a sense, I did not mind it costing twice the market price, since there was no cover charge for the music. No waitstaff sent to table. After a half hour, I finally went to host desk to ask that a server be sent to the table. The host asked suspiciously, "Are you going to order dinner?" I guess if I was ordering drinks or appetizers, I was not going to get service?? Ten minutes later, a server arrived. It did not seem to be the fault of the server, but of the way the management runs their system of who does what when. They advertise Happy Hour at the restaurant, but by the time a server came, I was told that was only at the bar and it had ended during the time I waited for a server. Upon arrival off Dearborn (the advertised address), the doors that say "Entrance" are locked, the next such set is locked, and finally around several corners, there is a set of doors that open. As I came and left, I noticed most everyone was having this same issue of finding the entrance and having to walk on grating. As you walk along, there is a sidewalk and then no sidewalk and people are forced to walk on a grating with big holes in it where cars could drive, rather than on a sidewalk. The music was fantastic and the decor is outstanding, which overshadowed the issues with service and food. This place needs a sidewalk all along the entrances, signs with an arrow to "Main Entrance," a server at the table shortly after arrival, a much better menu, and to not charge such high prices for everyday food and drinks. Music: 5 stars, Decor: 5 stars, Food: 3 stars, Managerial: 0, Prices: High for what it is.

I came here with a girlfriend of mine, we had reservations, so they sat us right away but, put us in an isle with my back to the band that was playing (the whole reason I came) I asked to move seats and they didn't not want to move us so that I can get a view of the band even though the place was half empty and there was plenty of available seats around after that the server never came around I was only able to order one drink it took them about 30 mins to take my food order not once did they check on us to see if we needed another drink and once our food came we had no silver wear and by the time we did get it our food was cold . music was great but service was horrible I would probably only go back if I really wanted to see the band play and sit at the bar.

While the food was really just average, the service we received from Anthony was excellent! We really weren't expecting haute cuisine however, burnt crust on the flatbread and a very soggy herb crusted salmon salad were not quite up to snuff! Bad night for the kitchen staff? Maybe! The music was great and that was really what we came for and no disappointment there!

Friendly greeting, and excellent service. Food was promptly delivered, and was good. Nevertheless the real reason for going to The House of Blues is the live music, and both bands were excellent. Guitar playing by two leads of Funky Mojo Daddy was of especially high standard. A great, unhurried evening.
