House of Blues Restaurant & Bar - Anaheim Ratings and Reviews
Went for a chill date, the food selection was good, the value was good, the drinks were a little pricy though.
Ordered the brisket and my date ordered the cob salad. Both were pretty good portions.
Overall was a great experience because of the atmosphere and it was Karaoke night (Wednesday).
Waiter was very attentive and fast.
The location is now at the garden walk so don’t go to DT Disney like I did at first.
Will Definitely go again.
Our waiter Kyle was 5 star. However, my chicken wings came extremely dry and the thin crust pizza my wife got did not taste good. I guess there were too many ingredients. Not to mention every time we ordered a beer it took atleast 10 minutes for them to bring it. Kyle did apologize and mention there were technical difficulties behind the bar.
been looking forward to the visit. hostess was beyond annoying. She said we couldn't move up reservation. they were booked. place wasn't 1/2 filled up, then when asked to move a table, what an attitude. food was cold. HOB means blues, not some lame karaoke. Over all a major disappointment
Had an amazing pre-concert (Extreme) dinner at the 'new and improved' Anaheim HOB. The food was surprisingly good. Before, it was pretty standard for a chain restaurant, but my wife's steak with chimichurri was fantastic and my wedge salad and the gator tots (can't remember the name of the dish) were great too. Mostly, the drinks were truly tasty, flavorful, but still had a boozy punch and the band that was playing in the restaurant was simply fantastic. The best part of the evening was when the Manager, Tom, came by to chat and told us about the 'pass the line' tickets for our show that night. He was incredibly friendly, personable and charming. He got us our tickets and we certainly put them to good use. My wife and I had an amazing date night. Thanks for making it happen HOB. Cheers! :)
Happy Hour is 3-6pm daily, and we didn't even know it. When we got the bill, we were pleasantly surprised to see the beer was same price as soda... $3! Wow!
Found out that if you buy $30 worth of food/merch per person, you can get Front of the Line passes for the show. We were there to see Extreme and the tickets were GA. The FOTL pass certainly worked out and we got a great spot near the stage. However, after 4 hours of standing, next time I am gonna splurge for reserved seats.
Food is good, and plentiful. You can easily share the meals, especially the sandwiches. Some say pricey but $14 for the jumbo sandwich and $19 for 1/2 a fried chicken wasn't bad.
Ryan was our server and he was good. I'd recommend this place
I knew the place would be busy, but it was unbelievably packed because NAMM was going on. Everyone was having a great time and no one was leaving their tables. The host apologized and said we would get the first table available, but it could be a while. It took less than 15 minutes, and I was impressed. We were all very hungry and I was so thankful I made a reservation.
Our server was nice. We wanted to order the fried chicken dinner for four and she warned us that it would take a minimum of 25 minutes to cook. We were all hungry and tired so we got the smoked meat platter. It was so good!!
The place was noisy and packed to gills, but we still had pretty good service. I was very pleasantly surprised. I will go back.
As first time customers of the House of Blues, my girlfriend and I were extremely impressed with the food, staff, and ambiance of the restaurant. The food, from the appetizer down to the dessert, arrived promptly and tasted amazing. I made sure to tell my family what they were missing and we will absolutely come back in the future!
Our server was great and the hostess that seated us, the restaurant itself is fun, but the meal I ordered didn't meet my expectations or felt as though I got what I paid for. I ordered the half rack of ribs. The ribs while tender we're so heavily peppered I could barely eat them, my cornbread was cold out of the refrigerator. Our server quickly agreed the cornbread wasn't supposed to be that temp and gave us a new piping hot piece. My daughter ordered fruit with her kids meal and got fries, and husband ordered grilled shrimp on his pasta and got Cajun instead . At this point we were hungry and tired and didn't say anything else . I also ordered a dirty Martini and it tasted like it didn't have any vodka, but instead tasted like watery olive juice. I would come back but would be more careful about what I ordered. We have visited House of Blues many times and were disappointed.
I went to the House of Blues to see my son, a musician, perform. It was my first time at this location and I found the seating perfect as I was alone. There are a couple of bar/counters facing the stage. The food was unexpectedly GOOD! I had pulled pork and was provided 3 types of sauces to put on it. I loved this idea because i don't like pulled pork with a ton of sweet bbq sauce. The sweet potato fries were perfectly cooked as well.
Don't miss this restaurant! There is also plenty of parking in the Garden Walk structure.
We didn’t receive water or cocktails until 30 minutes after we were seated, and food another 30 minutes after that. Not given any placsettings. Eventually got paper napkins and forks after we asked for placesettings. Everyone else around us received silverware wrapped inside a cloth napkin. Our server was grumpy. Food was ok but not great. I won’t be back.
Great service! Managers Drew & Louis took care of
us when food was taking long to come out without Having to ask them and comped that item and got us our front of the line passes to the concert there. And after dinner i was looking for gum or mints in the gift shop store and since they didn't carry them Louis gave me his own pack of gum. Very friendly staff will recommend to friends and revisit. Thanks Drew & Louis!
We arrived early for our reservations and enjoyed the bar while we waited. The bar staff was wonderful and since it wasn't busy decided to stay and eat at bar. The entertainment was great and we could still converse over him. The hostess was very accommodating when we cancelled our table and opt for the bar. The food was great and prices were wonderful compared to inside Disney. The bartender recommended the "Scooby Snack" as a drink (instead of a shooter) and it was really good!! Next visit to Disneyland will definitely include a trip to eat and drink at HOUSE of BLUES.
Food was awful. Ordered Cajun chicken fettuccine, no seasoning on chicken, sauce was completely bland. Flavorless. Hub ordered half rack of ribs. Waitress came back and we were told they ran out of ribs but the had brisket, pulled pork, or riblets. Hub said no just bring my wife's meal. Management came to us and said don't worry I found a rack back there for you. Okay... ribs come out and we're so small in pretty sure they served us the biggest riblets they could find and passed them off as a rack of ribs. I returned my fettuccine and they told me I couldn't go wrong with their tacos, so I ordered the shrimp ones. They came out on corn tortillas that were barely fried in oil, I was expecting flour tortillas. Over all the food was just horrible. Another manager came back and offered us a dessert. Honestly I would have rather had at least one of our meals taken off. Server was nice, customer service fine but food was just awful.
We dined in at House of Blues for my husband's birthday. It was everything I was hoping for it to be and more! Our waiter Kyle was great. We had our toddler with us and he made sure we had the check early and anything else we might need, so that we weren't held up once she started getting over being there. It was our favorite night out on our vacation!
This was our second trip to House of Blues; our first was after a show, this was just a random drop-in after a day at Disneyland. I wanted some music with dinner, seemed like a decent place the first time we ate here. We ate entirely too much, but I can at least comment on quite a few things. The menu is straightforward - Southern and BBQ predominate. There are the house specialities… heavily pushed by the wait-staff. The shrimp and cornbread app was good, enough that we ordered some more cornbread for the table. W had shrimp and grits… fried grit cake with plenty of shrimp around it; and the Cajun pasta, which was a little one-note. The Moscow Mule was "one of the best" we've had. Live music was a combo of sax and guitar, playing hits. Surprisingly empty for a Friday early evening, I know it fills up after the concert lets out. You're coming here for not for innovative food, but good food and good times. House of Blues delivers on that.
