Went to see Saloon No12. They were great. Unfortunately there was no dance floor. A few got up at the end of the evening to dance but not enough room for everyone. Enjoyed the evening but we were very disappointed. Most likely not to return.
Manager Luis and Server Brandon were amazing. The food was on point as usual! The Smoke House Platter for 4 is what I’ll be ordering every time I return, regardless of how many I dine with!! It was that good.
We’ve been there several times to see our good friend Aaron Lewis perform! Always an epic night thanks to the staff at House of Blues!!
Great live music
Disappointed. Poor value - $15 for a Modelo beer on tap - factor in exchange rate - almost $20 Canadian!
Our waitress for the evening was fantastic, the manager was even checking up on guests to ensure everyone was happy.
Catching up with a friend...a little too loud if your looking for quite time but overall we had a great time with spirits and music!
My first date with my wife in 30 years and I hit the jack pot! It was a very good experience for my wife and I. Thank you!
Words are just words go there and experience it for yourselves :-)
Had a great time! Food was very good! The staff was very helpful and upbeat.
Over priced bottled beer
If you eat dinner there before a show , they should let you into the show before those who did not eat there
Service was great except the food was brought out Luke warm to cold. They took care of the problem by offering new food, which we declined because we were so hungry and wanted to line up as soon as possible for show. They did take 25% off bill and give us front of line passes to show, but I still can’t believe how cold the flatbread, French fries and steak were delivered. Our reservation was 4:45 and it was not that busy. I was really disappointed as we cannot afford to eat out much. We were there for show and my birthday. I was just really looking forward to a nice dinner before show. The show was great! Dinner was really bad due to being cold. Didn’t eat it.
All around great dinner celebrating a birthday!
Enjoyable evening with (musician) son from out of town. Attentive and prompt service. Being a native New Orleanian, I have certain hopes and expectations; and many of the dishes met them. The country fried steak was a little disappointing though. Steak was over cooked and cheese sauce didn’t settle well. The Nashville chicken wings were very mild. The gumbo was flavorful if thin. The blackened salmon and shrimp and grits were tasty. Menu is varied, so I’ll be back.
After a day of "meh" food at Disneyland, we decided to walk a bit away from the Park, settling on The House of Blues. It was the smart choice. HoB's food was well prepared, delivered fast and very tasty.
Meeting with my best friend
The booze is way too expensive. It was cheaper at the concert which seems insane.
Neat venue, just wasn't impressed with the food, will only go for live music.
Food was awful. Service was okay. Party of two and neither of us liked our food.
Came in for lunch. Not much crowd. 2 waiters on duty. Manager Tony swung by and check on us, very casual. Ambiance was okay.
Justin #705 is the best waiter we’ve had in along time! Great suggestions from drinks to entrees. My husband and I really appreciated the info he gave us on our concert for Little Steven. We would have rushed dinner and stood for an hour instead of just relaxing and enjoying our food.
Thank you for the line passes!
The menu was very interesting and most of the food we ordered came in cast iron skillets which the waitress told us when they were delivered they were hot. The skillet was hot but the food cold and under cooked. Tasted good after it was reheated
Overall, the food was OK. We had a muffaletta and the bbq brisket on a bun. The sides were the coleslaw and fries.
The muffalatta did not taste at all like a real New Oreans muffaletta, I'm sorry to say. The bread wasn't quite right, and the sandwich was mostly deli ham instead of being the expected combination of salami, cappicola, mortadella, mozzarella, and provolone. There was some cheese, but it was blandly flavorless. The olive relish was also bland, with no hint of pickled vegitable (cauliflower, carrot, etc.) and spicy peppers (such as pepperoncini). A muffallatta shouild be baked until it is warmed through and the cheese is melted. The cheese was melted, but the center of the sandwich was ice cold. I advise that you stay away from this item on the menu.
The brisket was good. Tasty but very greasy. So much grease that the bun was saturated and inedible. But the beef was good. If you have a high grease tolerance, this might be an OK choice.
The coleslaw was alright. I've had worse. Think supermarket coleslaw.
The fries were also OK. They were certainly not anything to brag about.
Finally, when a bottle of Dos Equis was ordered, the waiter failed to mention that this was the Dos Equis lager and not the expected amber beer. That too was disapointing.
The ambience is a little hard to describe. It is mostly modern industrial, with cement floors, exposed pipes, high ceilings, and harsh colors. But mixed in there are some interesting paintings on the walls. The restrooms are up a couple of steps, as is the bar, with no handicap access that I could see. A gentleman in a wheelchair was denied access to the sports bar because of the steps.
Because of the open nature of the room and all the hard surfaces, the noise level was really quite high.
Finally, three different times our conversation was rudely interrupted by "restaurant managers" asking about the meal. They should wait for a lull in the conversation and not just butt in. And three times??
Food and service were not good! Probably won’t go there again.
Great restaurant you would probably never think of unless going to show. Brisket sandwich outstanding. Lots of other good stuff on menu as well.
EVERYONE WAS GREAT, THE HOST, OUR WAITER, THE MANAGER ALL WERE FABULOUSLY HELPFUL AND ATTENTIVE.
Food and drinks for perfect
Our server, I forgot how it was spelled, Destinie, was wonderful.
Thank you for the experience :)
Love it service was still slow !! Food getting better but still not as Good as you would exspect from such a Fun place Hope it keeps improving we will be back again !!
Good was delicious! And front of the line for the show after dinner is an awesome idea for spending 35 per person
All things considering the food is pretty good. A lot better food then expected. We like to eat here before a concert so they will give us front of the line passes when you spend $35 per person
Food was okay! Service was horrible. It took us 40 minutes to get our 2 drinks and were late getting in line for our concert. I’m sure Kyle is a good waiter, he jus couldn’t handle the crowd .
our overall experience was very pleasant. The bathrooms did not have tp in the holders in the both locations. shrimp appetizer was great but 15 bucks for 5 shrimp was a rip to share between 4 people. the Cadillac margarita was the best i ever had. Was excited to have get in the front of the line tickets just to find out we could not hear the call for the line up so that sucked. Wait time for the act to start was crazy long.. I couldn't begin to think about having a handicapped or older person with me as they would not be able to hang standing that long. the concert itself was amazing as always and the small venue is such a treat to see the performers up close and personal.
Service from Daniel was great! NO BLUES MUSIC - this was the reason we picked this location
Had a wonderful dinner here on 12/2/18. Food was excellent, as well as the service. I will definitely be coming back!
Daniel was our server for the evening and he was very friendly, attentive and accommodating. He even remembered to ask about parking validation. Great service!
The New Orleans style gumbo lack some real authentic flavors of Naw Awlins—too light in color, no okra & pretty stale. Also, the gift shop only carry House of Blues logo T-Shirts—no Polo Shirts!
Really good food and great service. We were seated quickly and the atmosphere was really enjoyable.
Food was better than expected- fresh and everything served with a little southern twist. Great place to eat before a show.
We had dinner before the Elvis Costello show. Shrimp tacos and Jambalaya were very good. Service was excellent. Elvis rocked!
Went for a pre-concert dinner... enjoyable cocktails and good food.
