Good food good price good service
For my second time at this Houlihan when I asked for dressing on the side it had lots of dressing on the salad.
A manager came by, but so quickly with food in my mouth couldn’t tell her by the time she had walked passed.
I love Houlihan and their food, My salmon was cooked to perfection.
I guess I’ll ask for no dressing and see what happens
Calamari was not good and salads were very skimpy. Not much on the menu for no meat Lent Friday if also allergic to shellfish.
The food was great but way overpriced when your portion sizes are tiny. Service was okay.
I have celiac disease and I love that Houlihan’s has nice choices for me-not just a bun less burger.
This particular branch was bad
Seems every time we go, there is either an issue with the food, generally has set under the lamps and is virtually cold, they didn't follow special requests or the service is terrible. Seems it is either one or the other. We will have a great server, but something wrong with the food, or vise versa. Really thinking about not dining here in the future. We have spoken to the manager several times and nothing seems to get better. Yes we have received comped meals. But frankly I would rather things are right the first time with good service! I go to a restaurant to have a pleasant experience and expect to pay for my dinner. Which is much more enjoyable that having issues and getting a comped meal, leaving me mad and vowing never to return.
Had another great meal and service at Houlihan's Olathe. Reasonably priced.
Overall good experience. The drinks were a little on the high end, but strong.
We enjoy Houlihan's in Olathe and have had many good experiences there. This Saturday, however, we had a real issue with service. We love to get their appetizers to share and we each got the wings and shared an order of the pork dumplings. The food was great, but our service was not. We waited a long time for our food after ordering. We were then essentially ignored. We finally had to grab a manager to get our check. He took good care of us at that point. We will be back, as that was hopefully just a little glitch.
our waiter was busy but awesome didnt have to wait or ask for anything. Nice Job.
Nothing special. Burger was good. Fish Tacos were over cooked. Fish and chips was slab of fried fish and fries. Sad I wasted this on restaurant week.
This was possibly the worst dining experience I have ever had during restaurant week. The service was horrible, the drinks were awful, the food arrived cold, and it was obvious short cuts had been taken from the ordinary menu. Do not patronize this location.
We had the best server (Coby) that we have ever had when we were there 1/11/19. It made the experience so much better for myself and my children.
The hostess was kind enough to place us in an out of the way booth which was as quiet, as possible.
Also, the server was very good and concerned. Lunch took longer to get to,us than usual, therefore, she told us our meal would vibe comped by Houlihan.
Very nice and generous and unnecessary.
Mushrooms are always a hit! Ordered the tortilla soup for the first time -- NOT a fan -- more like chicken broth with melted cheese and a few tortillas. Two in our party ordered the french onion soup and said it was tasty like always. The pork dumplings were tasty too.
Not enough wait staff. Wait was too long. Wait staff was too busy to be responsive.
New Years Eve dinner and the staff was a little overwhelmed. Management took care of all of the issues and Houlihan’s in Olathe remains one of our favorites. Food was great!!
We enjoyed our evening out, the food was good, but they had to make the appetizer over 3 times. The waiter was very nice and friendly, but a little rattled because they took so long to do the appetizer. It was not overly crowded so there was no reason to keep messing up the appetizer. We will come back because we do like the food.
Our food was great and our server, Derrick, was exceptional.
Cold food, absent server, cold coffee and had to ask several times for refills.
Great place to eat. They have great drink specials on Saturday. It was a girls night out and we had a good time. They only thing that we didn’t like was being put by the front door. The hostess kept the door open a lot waiting on people to enter and exit so we hurried through dinner bc we were all cold. But other than that it is a good place to go to!!
Holiday Dinner, party of 8.
Generally a great place for dinner, however this time that was not the purchased the chicken special which looked great, but was black on the bottom making the chicken have the burnt flavor. We hardly saw our server, never offered a water refill or checked on us. This time I brought first timers and was embarrassed. Note if you go for Happy Hour you must sit in bar even though you are given the Happy Hour menu in main dining area.
Will probably go again but will not take a large group. Will try happy hour again sometime but with a smaller group so we can sit in the designated area.
Th he does was good for a Tuesday burger special, but I would recommend that the drink prices be adjusted downward as they were more than the food.
It was busy night due the specials but We had great food and friendly staff!!
Server was fantastic and food was as good as ever. Only issue was they seemed overwhelmed by the crowd. We had a reservation for six and they sat us at a booth that did not sit six very well. We had a 7th, but they were a high chair and made no impact on the lack of room in the booth.
I enjoy going to Houlihan's however I do not enjoy having to ask to have the happy hour options when you are sitting in the restaurant because there are no seats in the bar area where happy hour is served! If you have a happy hour it should be available throughout the restaurant without your customers having to negotiate with the server and manager.
We missed this time, but did show up at 9:15p. No waiting. Excellent service, waitstaff and food. Well recommend and will dine again.
Was there for a birthday with group, no one asked if we were there for an event ( even after i put it in the reservation it was a bday) the waitress watched us order off the "happy hour" menus and then stated after we got our drinks they werent happy hour price in this section. Was not offered any discount for HER mess up. Appetizers came out with meals rather than before. Terrible experience would not go back.
The food was very flavorful and delicious. The staff was very friendly and efficient. Enjoyed our experience and plan on being there again, soon!
Great Food. Great Service! Love the atmosphere and the staff is very nice
The online reservation option was great! It was one of the reasons I chose Houlihan's over another restaurant. I reserved seating for 20 for a retirement party. The seating option was perfect and ready for us when we arrived, and the service was great. We all had a great time, and it made our time enjoyable with our guest of honor. I would use Houlihan's again in a heart beat.
Our server was great, the food was good, but with a few glitches. Several food items were wrong so they just kept bringing out corrected dishes but left the incorrect ones on the table. A lot of food. Also, the service was very slow and the restaurant wasn’t busy. The biggest negative was the hostess staff. We had called on our way over to get call ahead or reservations since we had a party of 8 with 3 small children. We were told we couldn’t do that because we were too close. Then we were told there would be a wait ( it was 5 pm). So, I logged onto Open Table and made a reservation with no problem. When we arrived, we were scolded and told that Open Table doesn’t know when they’re busy. Very rude and the restaurant was empty. We were told we were “lucky” they weren’t busy and seated. Why didn’t they just tell me that on the phone? I emailed the manager who apologized
I ordered the sirloin and my husband ordered fish & chips. Both were good.
What has happened to Houlihan’s? This once-respected franchise is now a total disgrace. Produce is at least two weeks old, servers don’t have any idea of the menu or how to present a wine selection, and staff attire is more fit for a garage sale than an upscale dining experience. Have given them three chances in three locations in the past year. Will NEVER be back
We had a good server in this mediocre Houlihan’s. Houlihan’s-Lee’s Summit next time.
Great place to have a good meal with family or friends. Nice selection of appetizers and entrees.
One of the better "fast, casual" restaurants around. Service and Food are always decent
