Houlihan's - Live Oak
The food and service was superb. Steaks were awesome and perfectly cooked. The Prix Fixe is a great value. Lots of choices for every taste. Usually get the Ahi tuna but the baked potato soup was a delicious change in honor of St. Patrick. As always, I finished with the ever-satisfying creme brule. Even the grilled cheese was above standards! We'll be back soon.
Reservation was ready, service great and food delicious. Will definitely be back again soon
Ordered medium rare steak and cooks could not for the life of them cook it medium rare!
The waitress was fantastic. The food was very good, especially the avocado toast. Finished off with creme brûlée, which was also great.
Service was good. The food was tasty. Environment was appropriate.
Upon entering I was acknowledged, not greeted but acknowledged by the hostess while she was checking her screen. Another couple comes in a few minutes after me and the hostess’s turns around greets them and proceeded to ask their preferences and seat them. That was kind of rude in my opinion. I figured they had a reservation like myself. But she didn’t even ask if they did.
The waitress was very slow we barley saw her. My sister ordered a drink it took over 15 minutes to get.
Other than that food was great!
We have been coming to Houlihan's Live Oak since it opened. It had a lull about a year or so ago but is back strong. Our server Bailey was top notch. She was chipper and well informed. We had the Prix Fixe which is a great value with lots of choices. We'll definitely be back.
Love the casual atmosphere and the food selection. LIT’s are tasty.
Atmosphere was great, nice place to eat.
Waiter was amazing food was great!!!
Execellent meal on Valentine’s Day. Will definitely be back.
Valentines Day dinner, Food was excellent and was worth the price. I was concerned about the service, might have been overwhelming for our server , he forgot our orders and request several times.
My reason for the low rating is based on two issues. First, my wife was given wine in a dirty glass. Second, my wife ordered some vegetables with her meal, and the vegetables was not included. When we mentioned this to the waiter, he offered to bring her the vegetables well after her meal was already eaten. Also, it took him a long time to return to our table after we told him of the missing vegetables. I understand it was Valentines Day, but we paid for a meal that included the vegetables on the menu. One last thing, concerning the wine in a dirty glass, when I received our bill, I noticed that we were charge for an additional glass of wine, because we returned the first order of wine due to the dirty glass. I brought this additional charge to the waiter, and he had it removed. If I had not gone over the bill, I would have paid for an additional glass of wine that wasn't our fault.
We arrived with a very warm friendly greeting. Restaurant was clean and orderly. Staff quickly seated us and waiter Kyle was genuinely assertive and attentive. Food came timely with outstanding presentation, temperature, and flavorful ingredients. Dessert was equally delicious and the price more reasonable than expected. We will recommend Houlihan's and visit again.
Thank you !!
Perfect place for good on a rainy day. Great service and food!
Food is always great, not too crowded and service is great
Food was only subpar but the really disappointing part was the service. Plates were never removed unless we asked and had to keep asking to have our water refilled. Also one in the group never got her meal placed so the other 5 had their meals and finished by the time she got her dish. Very disappointing night so much so we dont plan on coming back. Sorry Houlihans...we loved the one in stone oak but this one missed the mark big time!
Lovely meal there. We went as part of Restaurant week. The whole reason We went was for the salted caramel butter cake. Sadly, they were out of it. When that is part of your restaurant week menu, you just don’t run out. Bad planning. The food was very good. Our server was very friendly. We will go back another time. I really want to taste that caramel butter cake.
Great service and food. Thanks for taking care of us!
Hostess seated us and then we were Ignored for 15 minutes. Server finally came by for drink orders and brought menus. Brought water and came 10 minutes later for order. 30 minutes later brought soup before appetizers. Still no drinks 😟. Brought dinner and then appetizers. Drinks came after we flagged down someone and asked if they were coming. All I can say is it was very disappointing. Still have not received confirmation for points either
We went to eat with my family who was down from Cali. Service was great and food was delicious. No wait to be seated and my family enjoyed the food.
Service was great and their cocktail "She sells sea shells" was delicious and their Kansas City Burger was outstanding! Can't wait to go back!
New food options were not bad. Service was good and we left happy and full
An average dining experience at Houlihan’s. Arrived late morning for an early lunch with a friend. We were warmly greeted and quickly seated. Our server was not focused. We ordered a house salad without bacon. I explained I was allergic to pork when ordering. We also ordered wings and my friend requested flappers only. When our order arrived, I had bacon on the salad and the wings had drummettes on my friend’s order. The order was corrected. Food is average. Restaurant is clean and conveniently located to the expressway.
Tina is amazing as always takes really good care of us. I love that she caters to my kids and brings their food first. Service and food were amazing.
Food not hot, soup was. Beer not cold. Waitress had to be hunt down twice. Third time was to finish check. Place was empty.
New year’s eve dinner
Service was horrible. Many of the items was on menu but not available to serve to customers. Server never came to check on drinks. They forgot to bring my appetizer which was seating in kitchen for I don’t know how long. Wait time for service was wayyyy too much. I went there thinking it’s a high class restaurant so I was expecting high class service but was very disappointed. Manager visited my table to apologize which I appreciate.
When we arrived at the restaurant we were informed that even though we had a reservation we would have to wait another 30 minutes to be seated and served because they were short staffed. They went ahead and seated us and gave us water and took our drink orders. After waiting 30 minutes we got up and left. Totally unacceptable that they did not notify us prior to us arriving and very poor service. One of our favorite restaurants but we will not be in a hurry to go back anytime soon.
I used Open Table to book a 6:30pm New Year’s Eve dinner. After waiting 15 minutes for our waitress we got up and left and I won’t be returning ever again.
During our two hours stay at Houlihan's I saw two tables leave before receiving their entrees it took me an hour to get a drink an hour to get iced tea or refills and the waitresses seem to be predisposed for other things and not their job
The prefix menu was great for New Year's Eve. Good choices and good prices. Only thing that was missing was enough servers for the evening. Our waiter did a good job, but he had too many tables and he was overwhelmed. We waited at least 30 minutes before our desert order was taken after we had finished with the main course. The table was not cleared until the deserts came. We took the extra time to visit with friends but it did lack a smooth transition for the evening.
The server was so bad it made everything bad he smelled bad and continuously reached over us and our food very long wait to place our order Would not recommend or go back to this location as long as he is a waiter there
Very nice great atmosphere good food will definitely be back
Food was ok. Service was fast. Customer service was excellent especially on a busy Saturday evening.
Our food was late because the cook burnt my veggie burger. Waitress brought out my son's burger and asked if I wanted anything. I said I'd eat the fries, which were lukewarm. When my veggie burger was finally brought to the table it was raw. Waitress was really nice about it but admitted she didn't know what it was supposed to look like cooked. My bad for thinking that vegetarians can eat there, like their website says.
Everything was good. It’s a comfort food place for my kids and me. The tortilla soup was something I’d never had before at Houlihan’s. It was excellent. I really enjoyed my scallops as well.
Had to wait for a while before a server came to our table. The service was good after that and the food was good.
While Houlihan's is one of our favorite restaurants, this occasion was mostly a disaster. We had a party of 14 and there was only one waiter assigned to our table. Unfortunately, it took 90 minutes before we were served dinner. The manager and waiter was sympathetic, but did not offer any thing other than agree on what could have been done differently. I feel they should have offered a discount for the inconvenience or possibly deduct the cost of an appetizer or any gesture toward a truly disappointed group. Who was totally respectful and patient.
Food was excellent and service was speedy. Will be back again.
