Great way to spend our anniversary. Food was absolutely amazing, along with our server who was even more amazing.
Service was very slow. My partner did not like his food. We probably will not be back to this location.
Perfect location for a working lunch. Our group of 6 was able to enjoy our delicious meals with time to spare to get back to the office.
Valentines Day dinner, very nice experience!
The food came out in a timely manner. It was hot and delicious. The waiter was excellent.
Server was clean and polite. Did not return to refill drink. Server was helpful with menu but food was lukewarm, brought out by different person. Pot roast was dry-no gravy, just pieces of meat on dry potatoes. Food just so- shrooms and onion straws excellent as well as creme brûlée. Will return because I think it is a clean and pleasant atmosphere. Thank you
We previously had good experiences at Houlihan's in Brentwood, but our last visit on February 2 was a disaster. The main dishes were served cold (they should have been hot -- a flatbread and a "bowl") for two of our three diners and their salads were not served until after the entrees were removed to rewarm. We had to ask twice for utensils. The waiter checked back a couple times but his approach always was "Are things OK now?" without ever really apologizing for the service flubs. We really expected a small acknowledgement of the problems -- maybe comp-ing the drinks (we each had just one) or a 10% discount or something, but nothing. The whole vibe of the place was disoriented. And the hallway to the ladies restroom had trash on the floor, not a good indication of a well-run restaurant. We had chosen this place for a relaxing pre-theatre dinner and fortunately had plenty of time, thank goodness, but we all walked out agreeing we are unlikely to return.
We had reservations for 6 pm New Year's Eve. I parked the car while my wife got the table. She was promptly seated and a waiter took drink orders while I was still parking. The food was very good, the margarita was a little too small for my liking but tasted very good. The waiter was not very attentive, he came back when I sat down and asked for the drink order again. I would recommend Houlihan's for anyone who would like to make an impression on a first date. The atmosphere is warm, the furniture and bar is something you would see in New York or L.A. All in all, a very good time.
Overall my experience was great. But I had to go to my server three times to get my drinks. And he also didn't come over much and check on us.
It is a nice place for a work lunch. It was quiet and comfortable. The food was good. The service was good however somewhat slow given the amount of people in the restaurant.
Service was a bit patchy, on top it at first to the point of being pushy , then 20 minutes to get a drink that the manager had to get. Seemed under staffed. Food was good. Beeer was flat.
Our server was Stefan (sp?) and he was excellent. I would recommend him.
Everything was great! Spinach dip was a little off from previous orders. Not sure if recipe changed.
The entree pot roast that I ordered was disappointing. There was not enough meat and too much mashed potatoes. Carrots did not taste like carrots and the onions on top was not necessary. The chicken tenders that my friends ordered were overcooked dry and had a funny taste.
2 of our party ordered the thai chicken bowl, but the kitchen was only able to prepare 1 order after a very long wait.
The restaurant was very nice and the service by Bernard was excellent along with the food.
When my fiance and I arrived for our date, we were barely acknowledged when we came in, and some of the servers had an attitude. Whoever was supposed to wait on our table, refused and kept walking past us, and NEVER even made eye contact. Long story short, the manager took our order, & never apologized for the issue.. HELL he wasn't enthused on doing the job either! We won't be coming here again. If you have an issue serving black folks, get another job...
The chicken for my Nachos were freezing cold, the shrimp scampi pasta was old and dried out, the chicken strips were over cooked and dry, the cod was over cooked and rubbery
I really wanted the scallops but the server could not give good details on them, so being in the Midwest, I did not want to chance it and went with the filet which was wonderful
The host was confused when I mentioned I had a reservation. He proceeded to seat us and I had to stop him asking, " don't you need my name for the reservation?" He had no idea what Open Table was and asked me where does Open Table have us seated at in the restaurant? I had to explain what Open Table was and he needed to check me in confirming the reservation I had made and he was responsible for where he seated us. The table was dirty as well as underneath and the seating. He tried to wipe it down once asked to. I later watched him sit people at a table next to me that hadn't been clean from the previous guest. That explains why my seating appeared as if it had just been vacated. The waitress was very kind and caring. The food was nothing to make another visit to come back and order again; however, the Best Ever Apple Pie was just that! I wish the pie could have checked us in and carried us through.
Once we found the restaurant, good atmosphere and food.
We are always pleased by our dining experience at Houlihan's.
Food was great!!! Our waiter was not very attentive, orders were wrong extremely long waits for beverages and food.
The server was excellent. They were very accommodating for our late reservation. The only issue we had was there was a very apparent altercation in the kitchen with loud swearing for about 2-3 mins.
Other than that, I’d recommend and still will likely go back.
We had a group of 8 and we were very happy that the noise level was quiet enough that we could hear the conversation. Service was speedy and food very tasty with ample portions. Lots of appetizers to choose from.
We ordered the chicken nachos based on how good they looked on someone else's table. Our nachos, not so good. But our waiter was wonderful and brought all the items to add to them so they were much better. My husband's pot roast was like something you would get at your mom's, so he was very happy. A nice place, convenient to our hotel and shopping, so I would definitely go again when in town.
