Awful. We waited for 15 min while the staff ran around arguing (about what?)only four tables with four workers available..... and they could not decide whether to seat us or not. I explained we had a reservation through open table.... the staff continued to argue.
The bartender noticed we were being neglected, and suggested we just seat ourselves.
Nightmare avoided, we left!
Took my walking group there for the London Broil special. Excellent food, accommodating servers, great pre-dinner happy hour all made for a very special meal. A wonderful experience. Thanks!
We ordered salads and the stone-oven pizza.
-The best pizza I've had in Venice, FL.
A terrific dining experience.
My compliments to the cordial and competent staff.
Went for their Easter Brunch buffet. Food on buffet was comparable to a cheap hotel with a free breakfast. Nothing made fresh. All brought in and just heated up. Twice we got up from our table and returned to find our table cleared entirely, napkins included.
When we arrived we were seated in the far back corner at a wood table with out a table cloth. The room was about one forth full with many empty tables all with tablecloths. When we asked if we could have one of those we were told they were reserved, although we had reservations made a week in advance and the tables sat unused the whole time we where there. Needless to say we won't be back.
The food was very good- the only thing I missed was fresh fruit.
We all had a great time , nice to be able to hear each other.
When we arrived they were not expecting us. We had a party of 12. Stated they were having a problem with Open Table. They did accomadate us. Food was excellent. Service average.
The early bird special is a great value for the money.
I have brought a group there the last 3 years. They are models for our fashion show at holiday park in Englewood. We shop early at TJ maxx then head there for our lunch....last year I had called and made reservations ahead and checked twice and thought everything would be set up. Well the waitress was surprised and rude at first at serving! This time I used your on line to make the reservation even got a text message from you and thought everything was ok. But when we got there same thing. Jody was completely off guard and had a look ,but she did worked through it later explained that they no longer use that site....and she did give us good service!
Poor manager there. Will probably not go back next year. Do not get it ,we are the only ones there you would think you would do better to serve groups for the atmosphere is very nice for groups to talk......
Plus my co chair and I had the grill chicken sandwich and was difficult to cut it up very dried out but we did not complain.
Issues need to be solved before I call for next year probably will try somewhere else. 4 th time will probably not be any better for lunch
They had no record of my reservation ! How did this happen?
They did scurry about in order to accommodate our party of seven
The service was soooo slow. There were 3 tables with people. It took about 45 min. To get our dinners. One person had a drink for starters. He never came back to ask if anybody wanted a drink. The food wasn’t very good & was sparse. I would not recommend it to anybody and we will not return.
First visit to try out their Friday All you can eat fish fry. Very popular and thus very crowded with insufficient wait staff on hand. First round of fish was overcooked. Second round of fish was much better. Probably because the crowd had diminished and the Kitchen had better control over the reduced demand. Unfortunately, not very well organized and they even ran out of ketchup!
When we arrived for our 6:00 reservation there was no one in the lobby to direct us to the restaurant because we had never been there before. Luckily there was a sign. When we got there there was no staff just one other couple looking for someone to seat them. We waited 5 minutes then went into the pool area where there was a bar but the bar man knew nothing about the dining room area. After waiting another few minutes we left & went to a favourite restaurant of ours, Valenti's & had a lovely meal!
The fish fry was awesome! Nice, light batter and our newbie waiter Carson was great! We will be back!
Great place for friends to meet on a Friday evening for dinner...a noisy group can chat away without feeling they are bothering others as there were so many large groups there. The service was very good and the short wait meant the food was done to perfection and HOT. Loved every minute of it. Wouldn't recommend it on a Friday for a romantic dinner, though.
The Thanksgivings Buffet was delicious! The Chef/cooks did a excellent job!
The ambiance was inviting and the servers were working hard to accommodate the guests. The food was nicely displayed, but it was all rather cold-the turkey, the potatoes, the stuffing, especially. The soup had gotten thick and lumpy, but the salads were fine. The whipped cream melted to liquid. So basically the effort was there, but the food needed to be hotter. John was working feverishly to attend to the buffet and he did as much as he could. Kudos to him! I’m not a dark meat eater but heard complaints that ppl wanted it on the buffet. If you can use warmers and step it up in the kitchen to get the food hotter when served, you will have an excellent meal for your guests. Ty
Staff were wonderful and food was great. Thank you.
Thanksgiving dinner was ok. The staff was responsive and worked hard to satisfy their guest. The meal itself was mediocre. It was quite industrial- from a can and not much creativity. It wasn’t bad, but it was not anything that would make me remember the experience.
We went for the Thanksgiving buffet and were very happy with the food and value. Food was excellent, nice selection of turkey, ham, and salmon, all nicely prepared. Offered the classic green bean casserole as well as a nice carrot and turnip in maple glaze dish (the texture was a little off --underdone?). I would have enjoyed another vegetable selection, but on the whole, was very happy with the food and price. The decor was a pretty basic and if I have a complaint (which I don't really), that would be it; black table cloths on top of the already dark furniture and carpeting made it feel a bit dreary instead of cheery.
We went for fish which was great. But once we were seated and ordered our drinks, they took our dinner orders and it was over an hour before we were served. Other tables of people were seated, ordered, were served, ate, and left before our food was served.
We inquired about our food several times. Five of us ordered the fish special and one ordered a pizza. The waitress apologized several times. Don’t know if we will go back. Maybe in summer when no crowds are there!
Asked for medium rare prime rib...came well. Au jus very salty. Green beans were very greasy. Very surprised when we got bill for long island iced tea cocktail $10...very poorly made...with tip and cocktails spent $50. That was just my bill. Wait staff very nice and friendly however a bit inexperienced...surprised no bread was served with entree...in all not worth the money spent...maybe better for casual lunch around the pool...very disappointing...
