A unique and sophisticated tea setting of the classic tradition, Tea in the Window is an exclusive dining experience in the hotel’s street-level window display on West Georgia Street. Enjoy an intimate afternoon tea surrounded by custom art created by UK-born, Nova Scotia resident, Lizz Miles. Prepare to be immersed in a fresh and floral celebration of summer, inspired by the elegance of English gardens in full bloom. Through her signature style of bold botanicals and playful palettes created with gouache paint, Lizz’s artwork creates a living art installation, where you will become part of the scene itself. This limited-time tea service is available throughout the summer, and it offers a unique opportunity to see the city from a different perspective while enjoying a spot of tea in an untraditional setting. Upon arrival, be whisked up the new grand staircase to enter the unique venue for two. Service begins by selecting your choice of LOT 35 Tea to sip on, while you enjoy house-baked lavender honey scones, served with mascarpone cream and strawberry preserves. A selection of tea sandwiches and savouries, as well as sweet treats from the hotel’s pastry shop, will delight the taste buds. At the end of the experience, you will be provided with an invite to Notch8 for a complimentary cocktail or glass of sparkling, which can be redeemed that same day, or at a later date. The experience is priced at $92 per guest, not inclusive of taxes or gratuity. Tea in the Window is weather dependent. In the event of inclement weather (including rain and heat wave warnings) that might affect your reservation, we will notify you by 9 am on the day of your booking. Should this occur, alternate booking dates will be provided at this time. To access the Tea in the Window space, guests will be required to climb a short flight of stairs; unfortunately this experience is not accessible at this time. There is no space for strollers or highchairs due to limited space in the window. There is a 2-hour maximum seating time. For over two decades, the ‘Panorama Roof’ was the heartbeat of the city’s social and cultural life, where generations gathered to dine, dance, and be serenaded by the legendary Dal Richards and his Orchestra. From 1940 to 1965, Dal and his 11-piece band lit up the space with smooth swing, jazz classics, and showmanship that made him known as Vancouver’s ‘King of Swing’. His performances became the soundtrack of an era, and the Roof, the place to be seen. For the Summer Swing event, legendary local big band, the Vancouver Jazz Orchestra will make you move, groove and take you back in time. Rekindle the magic of that golden age with an evening that blends the elegance of the past with the vibrant spirit of the present. Begin the night with a gourmet three-course dinner served in a refined long-table format – the perfect setting for mingling, conversation, and camaraderie.
