A total train wreck. I would never go back to this restaurant neither I would recommend it to anybody.
Not a great experience for us. No one acknowledged us for a full 30 minutes and we were very patient but in the end my husband did talk to the hostess to get help. The waiter was very nice. We had a 7pm reservation and at that time they were already sold out of desserts and a main entree. The menu was extremely limited. My husbands NY Strip had more fat than steak, however my gnocchi was delicious. Hoping it was just a bad night for them.
Excellent service along with an amazing meal. Best service at a restaurant in quite some time. Didn’t feel rushed and was always there when needed. Will definitely stop back when I’m this area again
Delicious food. Did not disappoint. Will be back.
Good food, great ambiance, wonderful staff. Everything was nice and clean.
Very limited menu, no specials and no dessert except ice-cream.
Great romantic restaurant with LIVE piano player. Menu could offer more options, lights could be dimmed a bit. Overall, we loved it!
A gem in Milford for a really nice evening. We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience on the porch. Service was friendly and top notch. Oysters were fresh and the mignonette really let the flavor of the oyster come through. Our half-chicken entrees were prepared perfectly and served hot. Wine selection is excellent.
Hotel Fauchere is our favorite restaurantin town. We love the menu always, and the Sushi Pizza is a must!
Food is outstanding. Expect to pay for the quality. Everything is ala carte.
Lovely sitting on the porch on a September evening. Food was very good. Watermelon salad , burgers salmon and gnocchi all were hits. The brown butter cake with raspberry truffle ice cre topped off the meal. We had wine and beer. They have a full bar but I think a few signature cocktail suggestions on the menu would have gave it an extra edge. Something with Hendricks gin and st Germaine -hint ! So I can order it next time.
A little noisy with a few fire engines -can’t help that. Nice to watch the foot traffic and cars go by.
Overall a nice dinner out.
Food was excellent, but we waited quite a while for dessert and coffee after the meal. Waiter was very nice. Restaurant is beautiful and the piano player added to the ambience. Will definitely be returning!!
Best night dining out in my life. My wife and I will be going back very soon.
Marvelous cuisine with complex flavors. Enjoyed Grilled Peach and Prosciutto Salad, fresh, fresh oysters and brilliant Bouillabaisse with Truffle Fries. Oddly costly vin ordinaire. Next time, we’ll try just a cocktail.
Excellent food. Superb service.
We sat on the porch, dry as a bone, while it was pouring rain from Tropical Storm Henri 5 feet away from us! We had detoured into Milford from our original planned trip due to the storm, and three of the places we had wanted to visit that day were closed because of the storm. To stumble upon the Hotel Fauchere was such a treat. The atmosphere was friendly, warm and mellow, despite the madness of the weather. The staff were conscientious, and the food was great.
Everything was great overall… the bed was a lottle uncomfortable and the breakfast was sub par
Beautiful summer evening, in a wonderful small town of Milford, with its fantastic antique shops and galleries,
Old Lumberyard Shops especially!!
Lunch, dinner, cocktails at Hotel Fauchere make it perfect day.
The food and service are amazing!!!
Fabulous.....a class act in every way! They have a new culinary team, and the food was delicious. Had mango chips, vegetarian risotto, and a delicious butter cake with home made ice cream. Sushi pizza always great. Our friends loved the mussels and the "impossible" burger. Porch has new awnings, so nice and shady, with views of the beautiful plantings. Highly recommend!
Everything about my dining experience was exceptional. The service staff is alert and well trained. The food is wonderful! I had the seared salmon which was perfectly executed and delicious. I wanted plain berries for dessert and they were happy to oblige. I am already planning my next trip.
Amaxingfood. Great staff. Went for brunch can't wait to try dinner, sometime soon.
Limited menu but everything is always high quality and consistent. An excellent dining experience
We love coming to the Fauchere. Had to go indoors as when we booked no porch
tables, altho' from the time we arrived until we left, there were several not filled.
Noise inside was loud. Actually, mostly one server with very loud voice who needed
to speak to everyone. Food outstanding, as usual.
The menu has changed to a 'bar menu'. Nothing creative or special any more
After over a year of dining at home during the pandemic I have sticker shock when going out to eat. Realizing what restraunts charge and what a DIY meal cost can be an eye opener. Though I must say if the experience matches the food quality I do not mind paying a premium. Upon re-entering the 'going out to eat' world we are also noticing what establishments apreciated thier customers. This is the case at the Hotel Fauchier. After being a guest at the Hotel many years ago and subsequent visits to Bar Louis we went into the meal not knowing what to expect since it had been at least 5 years since our last visit. Let me tell you the food and the staff did not dissapoint. The quality of the meal from preperation to presentaion was spectacular. Not many places can elevate a burger and to such high levels, but this place manages to do so. Even better than the food was the service. After booking a brunch reservation for the porch on a Saturday morning we arrived and were seated. The neighboring table lit up a cigarette and started smoking. Not being from PA we thought that perhaps this was the norm. In NJ there is no smoking at outdoor dining. Taking a long shot to have our table switched to an indoor table I aproached the hostess. To my surprise not only did she immediatly apologize for the smoke and move us to a beautiful indoor table but informed the dining manager about the smoker. The dining manager, without hessitation, headed to the front porch to confront the guest who was smoking and informed them of the policy of no smoking in the outdoor areas. All this was done without pause, swiftly and professionally. I was blown away by thier effortless profesionalism that the staff exhibits. This can level can be very rare in the hospitality sector these days. I recomend this place for the entire experience. Also, if the watermelon salad is on the menu, get it! One of the best salads around. In conculsion you absolutly get what you pay for here and it is well worth it!
Always a perfect experience, late night spur of the moment meal. Green salad with goat cheeses is delish, hummus & deviled eggs with salmon, brown butter cake for dessert!
Food was excellent and service was great. It's worth making a trip to dinne here.
This was my second time having brunch here, and it was outstanding! They were helpful when I needed to change my reservation, and went above and beyond during our dining experience. Looking forward to my next visit.
I had a reservation and was seated immediately. The servers were extremely helpful and personable and the food was outstanding. I will definitely be coming back.
Food was on point. Sushi Pizza was amazing. Our server was excellent. Funny, witty.and offered advice. Made the experience enjoyable. The piano player was the over the top experience. I'll be back
Sitting on the patio at the Fauchere is perfect especially if one is still apprehensive about dining indoors during this pandemic. The tables have ample space between them. The wait staff is courteous, not bothersome, efficient and friendly.
Great at as always. Love the porch. Love the cocktails. Love the food. Love the service. See you soon!
7 pm reservation and they already were out of the only soup on the menu, which was a chilled soup that would have been good on a July night. One of us then got the watermelon/arugula salad, which was delicious. Other got the oysters, which were ultimately sent back and comped because of multiple pieces of shell shrapnel in with the oysters. Chicken main was very good and risotto main was fine. Dessert was a chocolate mousse, which was very good. Server never once asked us if we wanted water and we ended up getting it three times from other servers. Server also seemed very content to leave us waiting for things while chatting with the diners at a table near us, who appeared to be frequent visitors as numerous staff visited with them throughout. We have had good experiences in the past at Bar Louis and a good, if somewhat stilted, dinner in the Delmonico Room as well.
Quite literally outstanding. Incredible food, service and atmosphere. Bob was the best waiter!!
Food was well-cooked and of excellent taste. However, we felt that the amount served of two of our entrees was not commensurate with the price. Atmosphere was excellent. Service was good but quite a bit slower than it usually is here. However, we enjoyed the experience as always and we do recommend this restaurant.
You must stop here and have an amazing experience.
We had a wonderful time, the food was absolutely amazing. We sat outside and the atmosphere was just beautiful.
Lovely place. Great food and interesting selections. The sushi pizza and French fries with truffle oil and Parmesan is awesome. The service was just okay because the place was totally filled but in the past it was excellent so we won’t be critical. This is a great place to go for any occasion. Highly recommended.
We always enjoy Bar Louie but found to our dismay that it is currently under construction with no eta for reopening. Instead we had dinner in the Delmonico Room. This is probably the most elegant dining room in Milford but that does not mean you have to dress up formally. The food is always interesting and delicious.
