Located inside the so-hip-it-hurts award-winning Hotel du Vin in Harrogate, the Bistro is a divine restaurant ideal for any occasion. With gunmetal grey walls, elegant leather chairs and chic chandeliers – the stylish dining room is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner, and Head Chef Tom Van Zeller has created a sensational seasonal modern-Euro menu complimented by the Bistro's eclectic wine list, designed by Head Sommelier Nicholas Jacquemin. Signature dishes include the wood pigeon served with Savoy cabbage, bacon and thyme sauce; and the dry-aged, grass-fed Angus Charolais cross chateaubriand served with fat-cut chips. Went for a Sunday late lunch : the 4 courses menu was tasty and good value for money. The service was average as they couldn't locate my jacket in their wardrobe : 15 minutes wait for that. They also did not accept the OpenTable rewards cheques and were confused about it. Average experience overall for me.

Whilst the beef Sunday roast was very nice, I feel it did lack in terms of quantity - wasn’t enough meat and few veg to choose from.

Food was just awful but they did refund it. Service was fab. We did wonder why it was so quiet on a Saturday night when Harrogate was booming.

Hotel du vin , don’t accept bookings via open table and so we arrived to find we couldn’t eat . The maitre d said that they have spoken to open table many times to take them off the site. Obviously not satisfactory
