The staff were friendly and genuinely happy to have us.
I have been here over a dozen times but it was my friend’s first time and we had a blast. The food was great as usual and the social distance decor is clever and adorable.
Okay....I'm gonna go ahead and just say it. I was pleasantly surprised at the food here. I've known and day drink at hotel Chantelle for YEARS. I guess I just never equated a party spot to also have great food.
It was a friends birthday and we just decided to order some appetizers, entrees, desserts and cocktails.
So apps-- we had the tuna poke cigars and the deviled eggs. I live for deviled eggs. I've had maybe about 100 different variations of deviled eggs. I love that they give you different varieties which everything was good.
BAYBEE let's take about the tuna poke cigars. AMAZINGGGG! I was completely blown out of my chair. That wasabi aioli was good that I asked for it separately to put on my entree.
Now--we decided to do a little surf and turf. We ordered the pan seared salmon that came with fennel and mash potato. I ordered the wagu steak with frites. It all was perfection. I ordered well and that's what I got. So tender and juicy. The truffle fries were done perfectly. For dessert we decided to get the mango sorbet. That was okay, I think they need to go with a different brand because it seemed a bit watered down....Hotel Chantelle if you're reading this...go ahea and buy Talenti mango sorbet. I had a great time. It was super busy in a vibrant kind of way. Hotspot for food and dancing all around.
My party and I had a good time overall. The kitchen was a little backed up but overall things were fine. The rooftop had to be open once it got to crowded per NYC guidelines so be mindful of that when booking in the fall or winter. The Impossible Burger was FANTASTIC! The deviled eggs were a miss for me but my party enjoyed their food and drinks overall. We had a good time. The ambiance was nice. I'd recommend going and we all want to come back for brunch.
Ambience was great, although service was slow. Food was okay but the place was beautiful. Don’t come here for food but for fun lol
We asked for Tap Water and it taste very bad and had a bad smell. Definitely was not filtered. I believe all restaurants are supposed to filter their Tap Water before serving to patrons but it was not the case.
Great socially distanced dining experience. Felt very safe.
Cute spot with great music! Service was great! Only thing is we were rushed towards the end b/c of the table limit.
Great brunch spot with killer drinks
My experience was good for the most part. The rooftop is definitely a vibe for sure. The food was the only thing I had a slight issue with but other than that all went well. Will definitely go back again :)
Hotel Chantelle has potential to be a wonderful dinner spot but just misses the mark! Really nice staff, cute rooftop, and decent food (something for everyone on the menu), however the music is WAY too loud - we were a party of 4 and had to scream-talk to hear each other & could barely hear the waitress. If you do dinner here, do NOT opt for the unlimited alcohol options, they were pure sugar. You are better off paying the money for individual cocktails. I would recommend coming here for a light bite only & going to dinner elsewhere.
Food & ambiance were really great for a special occasion. They have a drink package thats $40 for unlimited drinks (which is basically 2 drinks so good value). The food was rather expensive and didn’t really match the price but it is LES so what can you expect? Definitely great for a special occasion not so much just being out with friends or something casual.
My experience at hotel Chantelle was great. They spaced out things perfectly per NY State reopening rules and the service was amazing. The food was great and they just made my experience very enjoyable. Wait staff was amazing, manager was great.
Definitely will return before summer ends.
Thank you for making my birthday enjoyable in the midst of a pandemic!!
Tables were perfectly spaced for social distancing and cute dividers were put up between tables instead of generic plexiglass
The staff were very friendly, patient and accommodation. Music, food and ambiance were great. Highly recommended.
Loved it! Food was great as well as the drinks.
Great time, loved the special sign and dessert for my birthday too!
Food and service was awesome. But the drinks need a major revamp, we tried a few different options for the bottomless and they were honestly awful. We switched over to the Stella option.
The food was amazing. They took all the Per-cautions to make sure we were safe due to COVID 19. It was enough space and such a great ambience.
Wonderful Birthday dinner!!! Fun, energetic vibe!!! Food and service were both amazing!!!
Food was great, they have figure out how to slowly reopen safely and provide great service at the same time. Love this place ! Not my first time
Great service, ambience and food. We’ll definitely be back.
First time ever coming to this place and it was awesome! The food and cocktails were delicious. The service was great as well! Definitely will come back and recommend to friends!
Had an amazing time rooftop dining on the 4th of July. Even in the middle of a pandemic they were more than accommodating. I went with my girlfriend and used a pulsd voucher for two! Although the menu was somewhat small the meals were excellent and we both loved truffle flatbread appetizer. They also have a very interesting cocktail selection and we both really liked our drinks. Definitely a favorite for us!
First outdoor dining experience since it has been open in the city and I was so thoroughly impressed. Everywhere you looked employees were wearing masks, sanitizing, and ensuring everyone felt safe and had impeccable service. The ambiance is always great, it’s a gorgeous rooftop and the music is excellent. The food was also delicious - the stuffed French toast is amazing!
We had our anniversary dinner here. The service and food were wonderful, and the place was sanitized and spotless. Highly recommended.
We’ve been to HC for weekend brunch many times, and love the vibe but we didn’t remember it being so loud we couldn’t have a conversation with each other. The DJ was just way too loud, or maybe the speakers, but we couldn’t have a conversation without having to repeat things or without needing to practically yell.
2 out of 3 of us asked for unlimited drinks option for brunch, as per our norm. However the drink service was so slow that within the first 45 mins of being there, we only had one round of drinks served. When the 2 of us asked for our 2nd round multiple times, and after the 3rd time of asking about where our drink was whenever we could catch the attention of any waitress walking by (ours was MIA at many times), the waitress brought out a drink to a person at our table on the house who didn’t even have the unlimited option nor ordered another round; this effectively meant that the people who did order a drink was still left waiting for their drinks. I think the “on the house” drink was meant to placate the disgruntled customers but it was giving to the wrong person who wasn’t really drinking and didn’t even finish her first drink, so it seemed like the waitress wasn’t even aware of the actual circumstances (for instance: she wanted to clear off tables and ask if we needed more food even though we had asked for our drinks a couple of times and all we wanted were our drinks) or was too busy to properly manage the table. I understand, as I’ve been a waitress before, but it was a bit ridiculous.
I don’t know what was up with the service that day but it really sucked. Not sure if we want to come back. I feel like if the staff would pay attention to the customers, and not creating this party atmosphere (which I’m sure helps patrons stay longer = drink longer), this would not have happened.
We were an hour early for our reservation but the hostess was gracious enough to accommodate us. Cocktails were good and cheap as well as the food. Love the dj’s choice of music. The only bummer was we waited for almost 10 minutes before somebody took our orders. Good thing our server was so nice and apologetic. Overall, we would love to come back again.
Very nice atmosphere, great jazz band
Super cute restaurant and dope vibe for Sunday brunch! Staff was friendly throughout.
Very nice brunch venue. Food and service a 10 plus!
Sunday is very loud with a DJ and Saturday very classy with a lovely 1920’s jazz band and singer. Love this spot
We were celebrating our anniversary with a weekend in New York and decided to try Hotel Chantelle for their brunch (after a blogger recommendation). We were somewhat disappointed that the advertised live jazz music was not on that Sunday. However the ambiance and the decor was bright and cheery for a brisk chilly Sunday morning. We opted for the stuffed French toast and and Avocado toast with poached eggs. The eggs were poached to perfection and the mashed avocado and fresh toasted baguette was delicious. The stuffed French toast did not disappoint and I truly appreciated the fact the it was not too sweet and had a crispy texture outside but not gooey on the inside. The Bloody Mary was a bit spicy. My Peach Bellini hit the spot. Overall a lovely experience and since we were the first ones in the restaurant we enjoyed a quiet brunch. Obviously a younger crowd as the restaurant was not full but was getting filled quickly as the morning turned into noon!! Highly recommended.
Amazing! Jazz brunch is awesome
So ... I read it was a restaurant
When we got there the bouncer wanted ID from my gray haired friend because it turns into a dance party - so we hear and my friend had no ID on her... finally the manager let us in
Very cool space - lovely wibes
White truffle pizza amazing. Service great
Music fun even for us old folks!!
They used to have an amazing menu and now they cut the menu with very limited offers.
I would recommend going for Brunch, Waiter gave excellent service and the food was delicious.
Customer service was great. Rooftop temperature was hotter than expected.
