   Made reservations here for Easter lunch and it was the best, most authentic food that we had in Venice during our 3 day stay. Every dish served was amazing!

   La comida muy rica. Lo único que la cena que pedí era una porción reducida, como si fuera para un niño; en cambio a mi esposo le tocó una buena porción de lo que pidió. La atención del camarero excelente!

   Our meal at Hostaria Osottoosopra was unanimously the favorite of our 8 days travel in Italy- between Venice, Florence, Maranello, Chianti, and Rome. We shared the calamari con crema, scallop & shrimp ravioli, beef cheek, duck ragu, cheesecake, and passion fruit mousse. There was a lovely wine selection that did not disappoint. We finished with coffee and lemoncello. Every dish was perfectly prepared, but it was the flavor and the way each ate that made the meal pretty unforgettable. This was our first formal meal during our travel, so every meal afterwards was compared, and this one easily stood out amongst some other very good ones. I’d add that among my favorite U.S. restaurants living in NYC, DC, and Philadelphia, I won’t forget Hostaria Osottoosopra either. Separately from the food, we were exhausted from a delayed flight and jolted by water taxi travel; the restaurant welcomed us warmly, even despite our inability to communicate in Italian fluently. They cared graciously for my toddler who fell asleep on my lap, I was humbled and so appreciative. Reflecting, it’s remarkable just how amazing this dining experience was.

   A great find, using OpenTable. We wanted somewhere that would do a late lunch, and this place was perfect. Others have mentioned that it was difficult to find, but we found it easily from the train station. Located on a "back canal" it was perfect - only one other table was occupied by non Italians. (We speak Italian - so no problem at all, but the staff could clearly communicate in English.) We had delicious, typical Venetian dishes. I was keen to try the pasta sauce made with onions, anchovies, pine nuts and raisons. Simple, and it did not disappoint.

   A bit hard to find but when we did food really nice service top notch it was the evening in winter so views were as expected over all very nice

   日本人に対してごりごりのイタリア語で話してこられたので驚きました。もう少し分かりやすくお話ししてほしかったです。あと英語のメニューも欲しかったです。

   Very nice meal…great food. Great service. Waiters all happy to speak English (sorry our Italian was limited to hello, please, thank you!).

   Perfection! Each course was beautifully executed, and the wine list was excellent. It was difficult to not go back for every meal. We look forward to next trip and referring others!

    Had a great experience. The food was delicious, especially the artichoke, and the service was friendly and quick. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, perfect for a casual evening. I highly recommend it!
