Horseradish Grill - Buckhead Ratings and Reviews
As usual, a wonderful dining experience EXCEPT for the Hostess RUSHING us to our table as soon as we arrived AT 5:00PM, because “We’re going to be very busy tonight”. When we left at 6:30 PM, the restaurant was not even half full! NOT a good Hostess and not looking forward to dealing with her ever again!
Thank you Darrell for being so attentive and personable. This was the last committee meeting for someone who has given years to promote improvements in my industry. I'm so glad I was able to take her somewhere unique in Atlanta. The staff accommodated our alterations on what was on the menu and we loved the wine-down Monday. A great experience and a fitting farewell to a long time colleague.
This is becoming out go-to spot for friends catch up over great food. This time we sat in the bar since the dining room was packed and quite loud as a result and one guest was concerned about being able to hear. Choosing the bar seating is probably most enjoyable if sharing lots of appetizers and cocktails as the server was also the bartender and she is buffeted by the dining room needs. That is a minor affect. We had a lovely evening.
Our brunch was marred by extremely slow service due (I think) to a number of large parties which arrived around the same time. The brunch dishes, as usual, were all top notch. It was the wait that seemed interminable between the arrival of the bakery basket and our entrees.
This is the second time in a row that I made a special request for a table and was asked when I arrived where I would prefer to be seated. This restaurant obviously does not look at the request section of the reservation! Our waiter was OK but nothing special. I had to make a couple of requests twice. Also, it took 30 minutes for our food to arrive and there were only two or three tables occupied upon our arrival. The food runner, Jose, was excellent as he was on previous visits. Not sure why he not a waiter as he always hustles more than most of the waiters and seems to have been there forever.
The hostess promised a main dining room table at booking but then we were seated in the basement.....yuck. The manager did an awesome job getting us re-seated at a great table for our family’s Thanksgiving meal. Server was good. Food was good - but not great. Definitely will be back to try their non-holiday meals.
Horseradish Grill is always a great evening out, its consistently good food and the atmosphere is like you are eating in your own living room....,with a lot more people of course! They always have great crab cakes, good fish and always you can count on grits! I've eaten lunch there a few times too, and that is always good....put this one in the rota!
We've been to this restaurant several times and have liked it. We took our family there for brunch and were disappointed. This time it certainly did not live up to our expectations. It took quite a while to receive our orders and the food was not as good as we've had previously. The grits were a mushy ball, the spinach salad was drenched in dressing and the burger had no taste while the pimento cheese(my favorite) in the center had disappeared into the patty. The biscuits were dry and not tasty at all. The only really good thing was the banana bread in the basket of sweets. I think it'll be some time before we return.
I have been to this restaurant twice and it has been wonderful both times. The food is awesome and the wine list is good. Service was good too. There is a bar area and separate dining room and a beautiful courtyard. It was pretty crowded so it is very popular. Valet parking makes it easy. I had the vegetable platter and loved it. Try the pimento cheese balls. Yum yum!!!
It's so nice to have a great historic restaurant right at a venue so that you can enjoy a drink, fine dinner and walk to the show. We eat there regularly and it never disappoints. Food and service are both excellent each time. Nice remote areas within a relatively small restaurant allow for quiet conversation, but it also has an energy to it because of the bar & reception. I took my daughter & sister-in-law to the Evanescence concert and they enjoyed the dinner immensely.
Great evening again.
We were well pleased that we had made this our choice for dinner before a concert at Chastain Park Amphitheatre. Everything went smoothly and we had a great dining experience. Service from valet to dessert was excellent. The starters and entrees were unique and delicious. Creative cocktail menu as well!
