They missed the mark tonight. My NY Strip was cooked frozen which made it dry and tasteless, and the bleu cheese potato wedges was over cooked, dry, and not tasty.
My friends and I always leave happy and full when we meet for lunch occasionally. Our server, Darryl made our experience fun and enjoyable with his personal attention to detail.
We will return soon,
Martinis are exorbitant!!!!! $17 is a ridiculous price....very disappointing...ruined the experience.
Food is always amazing ! The shrimp and grits is a must
Brunch was amazing and Brandon is great behind the bar!! Steve has created an amazing restaurant that is famous in chastain for great food and great atmosphere!
We live about 2 hours away & when we are in the area, we always try to have a meal at the Horseradish Grill because we have had such wonderful food there in the past. On this past visit, the food was not so good. I don't know if it was just an off day for them or if they have a new chief. I had the crab cakes, which had almost no taste and my husband conquered. I believe his dish was slightly better, though I swear I can't remember what it was at this time. The service was excellent.
We will visit again to make sure they weren't just having an off night & we do hope they are as we remembered.
Very good. The service was attentive, and we enjoyed a great meal. Valet was pretty unnecessary though. It's not exactly a big lot and spaces are pretty spacious. It's not like you get the option to self-park. Where he parked our car was about 50 ft from where he pulled it up for us, and was the same distance from the sidewalk. All I'm saying is, what's the point?
I brought a friend to the Horseradish Grill for a birthday brunch. We were not disappointed. Our waiter made her occasion very special and the food was excellent.
Really delicious. Fried chicken is fantastic. Best biscuits. Wine list is wonderful. A go-to spot.
Great atmosphere. Excellent service. Food was exceptional .
Discovered the restaurant when biking/running around Chastain Park. What a find!
Always fun at this charming dining spot. However, the chicken & biscuit brunch dish didn't hit the the right notes. Will return, but will order very differently. Love dinner at HG!
Slow service. Food only ok at best. Waited at valet stand to pick up car. He backed it out 3 rows over and screamed "isn't this your car", we could barely see beyond the 3 rows of cars. Walked over and got in the car. Silly me, I thought you picked up your car at the valet stand, not where the valet parked it. Ridiculous. And embarrassing.
One of our go to spots. Never disappoints. Our favorite things are the lamb and the shrimp and grits. Thanks.
First, it is a great location and a neat building. Two couples for dinner on Sat, thank goodness it was warm enough for the patio, it was pretty loud inside. None of the four entrees were remarkable in any way. Entrees come with a starch and veggie, to change to two veggies, is an upcharge. At these prices, that's ridiculous. A salad, entrée, and iced tea $50 pp, plus tip, and parking attendant tip. Not worth it.
Great preparation and ingredients. The baked goods are great.
Fried chicken tasted like it was cooked yesterday. Trout just poorly prepared
We were late for our reservation but the hostess was really nice and accommodating.
For a Valentine’s dinner., the place was just like any other evening. No Valentine decor, not one balloon, flower at reception desk, nor a little flower or little valentine candy on the table. The receptionist were not even so welcoming!! They had packed tables very close. Was not even able to take a Valentine picture , because of the closeness of the next table, and you even share conversation with them. Will not recommend this place for special occasion! It was supposed to be a sweetheart evening!!!
I took my family for Valentine's. Our wonderful waitress was amazing and answered ALL of our questions. The food was delivered just as ordered and came out at appropriate times and intervals. We had not been here in years but that issue has been corrected.
Thank You HRG
Great food and service
As always, HRG did not disappoint us. We’ve been coming here for years (ever since it was the Red Barn Inn in the 80’s (I think)) and it is still one of our go-to establishments for a more-than-average night out of dining. What’s neat about HRG, is that it’s a hot spot for locals who frequent the bar and eat appetizers as small plates as well as full dining. It has a really comfortable atmosphere and the servers and management are always welcoming! We’ll return many times in the future!
I've dined at Horseradish Grill many times, and I'm never disappointed. We had no wait because we were there at the start of dinner hours. Service was prompt and personable. Dinner was delicious with fresh ingredients prepared for maximum effect. I had a filet, with spice cake for dessert. Highly recommended.
We have been here many times and always had a good meal This was no exception. I ordered the flounder special which was delicious. We had Elouan Pinot Noir which was excellent along with their signature Old fashioned. John was a terrific waiter.
As always pleasant experience with exceptional food
My previous dining experience at HG was not good; I re-visited the restaurant at the request of a friend. The service was poor; the food even worse. The redeeming quality of HG is the location and quaint interior of the space. I do not recommend this restaurant and will not go back again.
Dining for wife’s birthday celebration. My wife had the braised short ribs with greens and polenta and she thought it was very good. I had blackened grouper with sautéed spinach and also rated it as very good. My minor complaint was that I would liked to have slightly larger grouper for the price and I would have been extremely happy with the food choices. Another minor complaint was on the beer selections, some decent local brewers but could have a few more/ better options ( I.e. no stouts or porters). We split Kentucky oatmeal spice cake and this was the reason my wife wanted to dine here - excellent! Horseradish grille has been around for a long time because overall dining experience is very good.
Three of us went for a birthday celebration and all of our meals were delicious - the fried chicken, the fillet and the salmon dishes are all highly recommended. They even brought a birthday dessert with a candle on it to my son and they didn't charge for it.
Average food & service. Don't waste your time & money. Much better places to dine in Atlanta.
Always a favorite—atmosphere like a rural oasis. My side of broccoli was hand-cut from the chefs kitchen garden!
Love this place! Always has great specials.
Our experience was fabulous- loved the bar atmosphere & bartender - our favorite restaurant even though we live in Marietta- will be back!
Always a pleasure dining at Horseradish. Warm environment with comfort food to match.
Starters were disappointing. Grilled artichokes were tough. Tempura okra was moist and not crispy. Horseradish Grill's highly regarded Georgia Trout was not on menu, but replaced with shrimp-stuffed Trout that was poor. Our server was excellent and attentive, but the cuisine was markedly disappointing from what we've enjoyed in years past.
Dinner with another couple. Both of us enjoyed dinner as always.
Great place for business lunches as well as prior to Chastain concerts.
Our weekly date night was an easy pick by my better half. This was my first time at horseradish but she had been before and was given a choice of several good restaurants but this was quick pick.
-We were sat on time
-Our waiter (gentleman with facial hair) was fantastic and knowledgeable
-cocktails were proper pours but the martini was massive. No complaints here!
-apps order were the fried green tomatoes which were prepared with nuts, goat cheese and a sauce. These were different but happily ordered after the first bit. Second app was the fried calamari which i can be a stickler if it’s overly breaded and happy to say they were not. Light breading and delicious.
-main course. I got the ny steak and she got the boneless beef short rib. Both were very good and proper temperature on the steak but i think the boneless beef short rib was far better and the sides on that were better as well.
Over all very happy but the one ding was the lighting. It was far too bright especially for how late our dinner was, 9pm. Tough to have a romantic date night with the lights turned all the way up.
Still had a good time.
Lovely leisurely Saturday brunch!
You can always on Horse Radish grill, food and service always great!
