About
Great place
Food was ok but nothing outstanding. Service was very good. Pecan pie filling was wonderful but the crust was extremely tough
Honestly, it doesn't really matter since it is now closed. The owners should have informed us of the closing and that the wine list was going to be very limited. It was disappointing to arrive to find out that I had one choice for the type of wine I enjoy. There should have been more of a heads up.
We will visit Horse Radish Grill again after remodel.
I tried to unsubscribe this email.
Please do not send email again.. your restaurant is very near to my house plus I can't keep up all the mails.
Thank you.
One of the best places to dine in Atlanta.
Delicious food and the ambience is warm and cozy. Imagine an old horse barn all redone but respecting the history of the barn.
Staff is great. I hate they’re closing until summer for renovations.
Hope they keep the charm!
It was out fair well lunch sine they will be closing on 2/15/2020. They will reopen the spandex in summer 2020 as a new concept
My evening was perfect. Too bad they are closing on 2/15/2020. I live nearby and have been there many times over the last 20 years or so.
This place is about to close (2/15/2020). Don’t bother going. Thought I would go for one last time as it has been a few years since I last visited. Now I know why they are closing. Everything was terrible. Artichoke-tasteless and soggy, Crab hush puppies- pasty and tasteless. Vegetable plate- could have made it from a quick run to Publix. Best things was the mushrooms, Shortribs- too fatty and undercooked. They were out of the two beers I asked for.
I think they have just thrown in the towel. Completely overpriced for what I got. Headed to Arby’s afterward.
Always delicious!
Wonderful dinner in a great neighborhood spot! Hoping all will remain close to how it is now after the upcoming renovations. Food was outstanding!
This was a monthly outing with certain friends . We loved the place.
Early dinner for us, very quiet and the lamb chops were PERFECT!!!
Have been many times. Excited about the new owners. This time the service was poor, bordering on rude.
A perfect evening!
It is so sad that this restaurant will be closing for renovations very soon and not opening again before Summer 2020.
Food is a little bland. We’ve tried here many times and have always seemed to be wanting “something more”
The menu special my date ordered came cold. It was supposedly "the last one left" so we didn't bother sending it back. Very disappointing....Our waiter was generally unattentive and we were delivered food that we didn't order.
Loved our waitress!
We haven't been to Horseradish Grill in years and were unable to find reservations anywhere online except there (guess that should have been a sign). I had good memories of my last visit (probably 6 years ago) so we went back. I was so incredibly disappointed. I am not a negative person, but it seemed like every encounter was a bad one. The place overall is looking extremely run down, I remembered it being cozy and inviting, but its very obviously in need of care, it was dark and the overrun. My drink at the bar was terrible. I asked my husband to get it for me while I ran to the restroom and it was clear they used bottom shelf alcohol by the taste, when you can taste cheap liquor mixed with grapefruit juice and soda you know its bad... When I walked into the bathroom one of the toilets had run all over the bathroom floor and the whole floor was soaked. Understood these things happen, but on my second visit to the bathroom it was still a mess. Our waitress was slow and a I couldn't help but feel like she was a little rude, not sure how to describe it but she kept making strange faces at us like we were bothering her when we asked for something. The artichoke app we got was dried out and had no flavor, and all of us were disappointed with our entree's it's like they lacked flavor and were overcooked. Not to mention the place isn't cheap so overall it was just a bummer. My friends who were with us said they had a similar experience there recently but didn't say anything because they were wanting to give it another chance. I honestly feel terrible writing this review, but I feel the place has SO much potential. Its such a cute spot with a very special location unlike any other Buckhead restaurant. If they could get a grip on the service, and more importantly the food they could really have something special. After telling other friends how sad we were with our experience we heard there may be new owners. Hopefully they will see this and make a change.
Horseradish Grill is A perfect restaurant for a Saturday brunch with old friends. Everything was perfect from the Bloody Mary to the Eggs Benedict and the ambiance and service cannot be beat!
The menu is much improved after the change in ownership. Old cesura salad was uncapped romaine and wine list now includes an Italian Pinot Grigio and not a California one as well as some other wines from outside the U.S. If you like unbaked chardonnay, the old menu had a mediocre one and no French chablis. We are looking for more changes after they close in February for 6-9 months of renovation.
Great restaurant, great service, on the pricey side but a great dining experience
Great location in Chastain Park. I’ve never had a bad experience here. Service and food are consistently good. It has that feeling of togetherness and community with amazing staff who genuinely like to be there . There is something very special about Horseradish Grill. Give it a try or two..Dinner and Brunch both excellent.
Started with the cosmo martini that was PERFECT! Scallops for appetizer, entree of lamb chops that were some of the best I have eaten. Our waiter was always on target. Our rainy cold night ended with perfection at the Horseradish Grill.
Quaint, romantic, quality food, great taste, good portion sizes, good price.
Horseradish Grill never disappoints. Total crown jewel in Chastain Park. The food is always outstanding with the fish dishes being the star. Amazing wine and bourbon list including Pappy Van Winkle. Amazing.
Tempura okra and fried green tomatoes are outstanding appetizers. Very large portions. All fish dishes are excellent. Strawberry cheesecake is very good. Ambiance is charming. Service is friendly and excellent. Not crowded at lunch. Highly recommended.
Love this place - so cozy!
Great food, atmosphere and service. Wasn’t thrilled about a cat milling about. One of my guests was allergic to cats.
Great as always
Love the neighborhood ambiance. Sunday night’s prime rib dinner was just what we wanted. Restaurant not crowded so great for conversation.
Always a classic, Southern experience. Looking forward to the updates that the restaurant will be making in the next few months.
Best Bloody Mary ever. Best biscuits. Great brunch joint
Glad the six of us made it before they close for renovations. Great service. Good food. My short ribs were a little on the dry side, but tasty nevertheless.
I had not been to Horseradish Grill in several years but will certainly be going back very soon. What a lovely gem of a restaurant! Highly recommend it.
Can't say enough complimentary words about this restaurant. The menu is creative with a blending of choices, yet remains true to the Southern palette. Good wait staff who don't interrupt conversations or try to grandstand. Easy access, quiet place to talk. Yes, I recommend.
Took a baby with us. Very accommodating!
Excellent service and food. Great place to meet and visit with friends.
We arrived for our reservation promptly at 7 30 and were immediately seated.
Our attentive waiter took our dinner order after bringing our cocktails. My guest ordered the filet and I ordered the blacken grouper.
My guest requested her filet to be cooked "medium/medium rare." When served, it had no pink showing in the middle. Sent it back. The next one came out browned on the outside and raw otherwise. Sent it back. The same filet was returned like the first one. Being hungry, she took two bites....we boxed it and took it home to the dogs.
I've been coming to HRG since the early 90s. I've been disappointed with a dining experience there, previously. Being New Years Eve, I waited a special time for us. It certainly turned out to be the opposite.
