Slow service- understaffed I think. Food was expensive
Menu was different in the restaurant and the price for the strip steak was $45 instead of $30. That’s way too much of a price difference. Wings were rubbery.
Great atmosphere and good food! Absolutely blown away by their team especially Orlando ~ we didn’t want to leave..
Our aperol spritz was on point! Also a shout out to Daren.
You can’t beat the service and fun time at this local gem.
I was really excited to finally try this place for the first time. My guest and I were greeted by our would be waiter and was not necessarily friendly. First impressions right? Sadly, the food was not prepared as it was described in the menu, leaving off condiments and toppings. Drinks were way too strong, as cocktails should be a healthy mix of alcohol and mix-in's. Waiter was antsy and didn't really get the hint that we were taking our time with our meal and time there. Every visit to the table was accompanied by an aire of "let's get this over with, shall we?". It was dead in there, so I suspect his behavior had reflected that to some degree of just wanting to go home. Not planning on returning. Had a lot hopes for this place, but didn't really want to spend anymore time or money there. Went down the street to Calandra's for drinks and music and ended the night on a high note.
Food was awful service worse
The quality of the food is not as it used to be, not much flavor to any of the food, really blah overall.
First dinner “date” after lockdowns
We enjoyed the dining experience but were not blown away. Would we go back….definitely.
Our 1st time there and we enjoyed the food and atmosphere!
Menu was too limited. Service was not great. Had to ask for water, 2nd round of drinks and never came back to check on us. Menu online is not what we recd when we got there so we were very disappointed. This place goes good to bad to good to bad, its a roller coaster of non consistency. Not going to return at this point sorry to say it is convenient to my home and once was good.
They have a very limited menu. Very few wines and limited food. Seems like there is a new owner. Food quality is not the same. Having 5 reds/whites is a tad ridiculous. Not sure what is going on but this place used to have a great wine list and ample food choices. We complained about the quality of the lettuce and the new manager said: well her's is fine. Not good at all.
The food was great and the staff was amazing!
Great experience!!! Excellent & fun waiter.
Food was very good. Service was also very good . We will definitely return with friends.
We have been there several times before but this is the first time we have had substandard food. The calamari was so salty we could not even eat it. The salmon on top of the salad was not fully cooked. The meatloaf over mashed potatoes was good but it was lukewarm when it arrived. I expected better from them.
Although the menu was slightly abbreviated due to the pandemic, the service was excellent. The food was great and nothing was lacking.
We love the Horseneck for a fun casual vibe with tasty food. The wings and burgers are our go-to dishes for dinner.
Food was not as good as usual. We've been here before and it's been much better. Everyone was very nice and caring, but the food came out very slowly.
I want to thank the staff for serving us during these times for such a special occasion for my family. We had been here before for Father’s Day a few years ago and were blown away by the food.
This time it was just ok. Not bad but not great. The chicken dish needed a sauce. The steak tasted good but could have used more flavor. The potatoes for all the dishes was subpar. The honey chicken buffalo wings tasted like salty buffalo wings and unfortunately I ordered 2 plates. The peach cobbler was $10 and was basically compote with raw sugar on top with no ice cream. Just terrible. Too sweet and too small and was not a cobbler.
Positives were the calamari and guacamole. Outstanding! The people were also very accommodating. They quickly responded to all requests.
The price of the entree were very fair. The appetizers and the dessert were pricey.
I would come back for the brunch again as that was great and I hope it has not changed. Best of luck to them.
First time there. Food was fresh and service was great
Convenient and friendly. Solid food and good service.
Great place for socially distanced dining! The service was impeccable and each dish we had was delicious. Try their scallops if available—perfectly seared!
New Chef! food was great.. Wait staff super helpful !
glad to see this place has returned. I love the pub menu, lots of variety for large or smaller meals. Service was excellent. nice tempo in between courses no rushing. plan on returning very soon
We have eaten there previously, ordered the same dishes and it seemed like our food was reheated leftovers- very disappointing.
I enjoyed the atmosphere very much the appetizer we ordered was calamari it was $16 we received such a small portion on the plate with mostly tentacles we asked for sauce to dip them in and we received it cold however the Cobb salad and the shrimp Cesar salad both were very good we had 3 drinks $12 each they were ok bill was $95 I’m thinking a little high
Good food. excellent service. Very responsive, customer focus and an overall good experience.
The outdoor dining set up was very comfortable, and food is always great but our waitress Maddie was fantastic!
Horseneck Tavern continues to be a local favorite - now especially during the Covid restrictions. They have one of the nicest outdoor spaces nearby. Tables are well spaced.
The staff wears masks and they sanitize tables after patrons leave. The food is delicious and the new additions to the menu are great.
My only concern is that several "regulars" do not mask up when leaving their tables, and I did not see any staff speaking with them to ask them to put on a mask as required by the state.
Horseneck Tavern has an excellent outdoor dining set up. Not a parking lot but legit space. Even on the rain soaked Friday we had a wonderful evening protected from the rain, socially distant tables and good ventilation. It was a favorite of ours pre-pandemic and the addition of new chef Michelle has elevated the menu!
My boyfriend and I had our first date night post-quarantine at Horseneck Tavern. The staff was super welcoming, the location was very well cleaned and the food + drinks were spot on! We look forward to coming back soon.
No one wax at the restaurant when we got there. They obviously closed early and did not alert us do we wasted our time driving there. Unprofessional!!
The menu options although limited were good and the dessert choices were delicious. Our server took our order but disappeared and we needed the general manager take our dessert order and provide us our bill.
Dear Emily, Would love to share the new menu with you and would be happy to make something that will make you happy! Please ask for me next time you are joining us at the tavern. Thank you! Best, Chef Michele
Celebrating my daughter’s birthday was fun here. Good
Food and drink. Nice room and convenient. Try it!
This review is not about our dining experience because we left. We showed up on time for a Valentine’s Day reservation only to be told that there was a 45 minute to an hour wait because they had more reservations than tables. They blamed the delay on the fact that I made reservations online. That is poor management on their part.
The food here is excellent, there is no doubt, but the service... after several years in business they still have not figured out how to manage a crowd. The waitress was very nice and pleasant, but the kitchen was abysmally slow and my order was incorrect - I ordered a soup from the specials menu for a starter and it never came, even after the waitress "asked the kitchen about it twice". (I'm not sure how that is possible - isn't a soup always on the stove in the kitchen ready to go? Doesn't even need prep, just ladle and serve.) The people at the front desk were clueless as well. Unfortunately, we will not return.
Worst dining experience ever! After waiting 30 mins for our reservation, we waited 90 mins for food to come which it never did. Got 2/3 entrees to go after waiting another 30 minutes. Left without the $30 pork chop that we paid for and no one cares. Everyone expects slow service on a holiday but this was ridiculous!! Not a word from manager!! Shameful.
Not enough servers on for Valentine’s Day. Not her fault but she was too busy to be attentive.
Oysters were small and without taste. Food quality / flavor was very basic for the price.
Service overall was horrible - waited an hour for entree with little apologies. Couldn’t even get server to come back to pay so left paying cash. Will not return.
They seemed surprised by the turnout on Valentines Day... despite the reservations. Lucky that we had an early reservation but still had an epic wait for main plate. My wife’s Arctic Char was cold but she opted to just eat a small bit, figuring that the wait to replace it would be even worse.
My friends arrived as we were leaving. They gave up after 2 1/2 hours waiting for dinner and just took it to go.
A shame as they normally do quite the job. My wife is dead set against returning.
