The enthusiastic service more than made up for the average food. The restaurant had limited seating but we had reservations. It would not be restaurant of choice for me.
All staff was attentive and friendly. Great food. Looking forward to our next visit.
The service was great-it wasn't crowded when we went for dinner during the week. Next time we go we will try the more modest menu as the gourmet menu was a little disappointing for the price. I took my daughter for her birthday dinner, her steak was a bit tough and my sea bass a bit overcooked. The vegetables were cooked perfect - and the plated presentation was very nice. I would recommend this restaurant to many friends for good food at a reasonable price.
The Horseless Carriage Restaurant was a very pleasant surprise. It has been at the same location for many years and I remember it as a child. I was thoroughly impressed with the food (quality, taste, portion size, and presentation). The prime rib was enormous, pasta was perfect, deserts were excellent, and I will definitely be going back very soon.
the appetizers, steak, drinks and dessert were all delicious
Waitress was great
Our server Alexandra Was spectacular. She was very attentive and friendly. The food was that much better. I had a great night. Thank you.
Good food, good value. Authentic. Went for dinner with friends.
My Surf & Turf dinner and Shrimp Tempura appetizer were delicious. I love french fries and their's did not disappoint, but skip the skimpily-dressed caesar salad. The wait staff were all friendly and attentive. There is limited seating in this coffee shop style restaurant, so reservations are advised if you have time restrictions.
I had to go for the uniqueness of it - a full service restaurant at a car dealership. It handles everything from breakfast to dinner, omelettes to prime rib. Bright, 70s diner feel with counter and booths. Check it out!
The food and service were very good. For lunch, I would suggest sitting inside. The patio is located near a main road, between two freeways, a lot of traffic noise.
I thought I was in for a fun evening going to an old school diner that would be kitschy... We definitely felt like we were stepping back to 1992 - but, the food was also delicious and the service and value were great. We would return.
The Server warned us that the cooks typically overlook the Bison burger. Why doesn’t the Cook learn how to cook to the proper temperature? Not only was the burger over cooked, everything we ordered was over cooked. What a shame. The staff was friendly, but someone needs to address the real problem. Sorry, but I would not recommend this diner to anyone.
Having several food allergies and limited allowable foods, it was nice to have them go out of their way to accommodate. The server was very understanding and took details notes for the chef who made sure everything was perfect!
Did not know it was on a car dealership premises. Pretty tacky diner. Surprisingly good food.
After eating there for 20 years I made a RESERVATION for 4 at 6PM for the first time since I had a couple come from Santa Barbara. When we got there no table was reserved and we had to wait 20 minutes after a confirmation of a reserved table Not very happy
Mother’s Day menu at 12:00pm and clean environment made a special memory fun!
Always Great food and loved the fact I could quickly make a reservation!
First of all, you probably don't need a reservation. We arrived at about 6:00 p.m. and there were only 2 tables occupied. I don't think there was ever more than 5 tables occupied. The restaurant is located at the Galpin Ford dealership. It's really a coffee shop with some upgraded foods. It is pleasant, very clean and all of the staff is very attentive. I had the "asian" sea bass and my friend the scallops and lobster linguini and both were quite good. Nice portions. My dinner came with soup or salad and there were rolls. I didn't understand why the pasta dishes didn't include soup or salad as well. My only negative on the food was the the mashed potatoes lacked any kind of seasoning. For the price, both dishes were very good.
We had a good dinner here. My wife's cheeseburger was overcooked, but my filet of sole was fine. Good choice for a midweek lunch or dinner, but parking in the evening is a problem; too small a lot for the patrons.
Enjoyed my special night with my hubby as we ate a great meal to celebrate our 41first anniversary. Reminded us when we were dating back in the day. Our waitress was Friendly. And liked the clean retro restaurant and the atmosphere. And was able to dress comfortably.
very good food in an old time coffee shop and we like their specials for dinner. Casual but the food is definitely upscale.
We didn't know this place was at a car dealership when we made the reservation for breakfast, but we are so glad we went! The food tasted great and the servers were very nice. We will definitely be back!
This has the ambiance of a diner. Bright lights, fast service and good food. Parking is a problem. Would not go back for a special occasion
Second time I have eaten here. The first time was for Prime Rib, absolutely cannot be beat! This time was for breakfast. The omelet was somewhat boring but the hash browns, OJ and toast were great. The staff was very nice, attentive and one of the gals had an infectious laugh! I will be back!
Basic lunch stuff menu items were unremarkable at best.
Service was quite good: attentive, friendly, intuitive.
Breakfast at Horseless Carriage was delicious. I had the lobster & eggs and my husband had a perfectly cooked, rare burger. Service was friendly and efficient. I would definitely go back!
I have been there before. My husband offered the Prime Rib dinner and it was huge for the price. He enjoyed it, and I enjoyed my Lobster & Scallops linguini.
