Hoppy's Railyard Kitchen & Hopgarden

We reserved a late lunch on a Saturday for 10 people to celebrate my Son’s wedding. Considering how so many places are just starting to open back up after being closed to COVID-19 and we had never been here before we were not sure what to expect. We were all pleasantly surprised! Not sure if it was the timing or just luck, but this was exactly what we had hoped it would be and then some. It was quiet enough for us to have conversations, a wide variety of food and drink options, TVs for those interested in watching the NCAA basketball tourney, and everyone was really happy with their food. The deviled eggs were delish and our server was very attentive and courteous. This restaurant was everything we hoped it would be and really helped to make the day perfect for the bride and groom!

Service was excellent and food was nice. Thank you for a wonderful family dinner.

Patio is freezing. Not enough heat at all. Food is so amazing !

The food is amazing and the atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. My sister's and I enjoyed our server Justin who allowed us to be our normal indecisive selves and was very patient.

Ate out front due to Covid restrictions, yummy pizza and good people watching. Only negative were some of the people visiting Old Sac and rudeness of loud cars & blaring music from posing motorcyclists.

We went to celebrate a girl friends birthday. It was perfect. The food and drinks were amazing.

The food was very good. The wait was very long. We were compensated with a free Mimosa and I'll go back.

We waited two hours for our food with no solid explanation. There were only two additional tables with other diners. They did accommodate our tab. I will say...the restaurant and vibe is beautiful, just wished the cooks were timely.

Met my daughter and her BF for Saturday Brunch and had a great time. We had the sweetest server. She was awesome.

fabulous service. the staff is very friendly. wonderful cocktails and a great philly cheesesteak sandwich ( CA version).

I think they were training someone in the kitchen because we waited over an hour for our entrées and had to send back our calamari which was way over cooked. They made it good and our server was very sweet.

They have a nice courtyard in the back which has a fire feature and plenty of room. Because of the spaciousness, the noise level was a bit high; but one cannot have everything. The food was good, though they were out of our first 2 selections. The waitress said there was an issue with a no-show chef. Plenty of obstacles during these times; but they handled it well and we were pleased overall with the food and service.

Overall was very good, really enjoyed the signature cocktails. The rating for noise level was only for the traffic and tourist noise outside. That is nothing the restaurant could control. When we return it will be during the daytime. We did not care for the type of crowds and behavior in Old Town in the evening. That is unfortunate.

Very nice place, food it’s decent and good selection of beer, cocktails were over priced but not bad.

food ok and service good but the tables right on the street are next to alot of foot traffic, within 2-3 feet. Lots of no maskers made me a bit nervous to be eating that close. They have a back patio that might be better

Anna was very nice but extremely hard to understand. My party kept looking to me to interpret for them as well as Anna did. Made ordering anything particularly hard. Also, I had the japapeno poppers before and they were much much better. This time they were made totally different w way too much breading and not the same sauce inside.

Service was excellent! Our waitress was quite accomodating.

Everything wa as great, the only thing I didn't like was that the water misters had a lot of water coming out! Our burgers got so soggy 😔

Overall, I would go again if someone specifically wanted to go there....

We had high hopes because the reviews for Hoppy’s were great but unfortunately the service just wasn’t good on our visit.

The food was good.
- Grilled Peach Burrata: Although it was served with a nectarine and wasn’t grilled it was still delicious. Good serving size
-Margarita Pizza: Good but basic. Would skip next time
-Ahi tacos: Good quality fish, yummy sauce
-Ahi Poke Bowl: Delicious, a little spicy

When we arrived, we were not greeted for almost 10 minutes then told one second when a server saw us which turned into another 5 minutes. Once seated, our server was on top of it at the start then fell off the wagon. We walked passed a manager who was lecturing a server (in front of customers). Disappointing customer service on a relatively slow afternoon.

Overall our experience was fine, we sat outside and the Chairs are terrible, the seats are torn and falling apart, we were taking chairs from other table not occupied.

The bartender Emily was awesome!! Will be back soon

With restaurants slowly opening back up, we were eager to get out and show our support. This was the perfect place to do so with their large outdoor patio with plenty of space for social distancing. From the location to the ambiance and the food, we were very pleased. We will definitely be going back soon!

Absolutely wonderful. Food, ambiance, and staff. We had small plates, pizza and brunch items.

I took my staff here for a teambuilding dinner and it was great! We all had a wonderful time and food and drinks were wonderful ~ Thank you!

Food was great, but service was so bad. our drinks all came out at different times, and one beer was completely forgotten. Because the waitress didn't come back by, there was no way to rectify until we waved down another waitress. We ordered a salad to split as an appetizer, and it came with our main course - except my main course was late (kitchen confused the order with another table), so at least I had something to pick at.

The food was really good, and the waitress could've easily sold another round of drinks (and refills on the non-alcoholic beverages) if she just came by the table. Even paying was a long process.

She completely disappeared, and the restaurant was not busy. Perhaps she had more than one job to do? all the same, delicious food & beer.

I had the dine sac menu. Poke was ok, pork chop was delicious! nice and juicy, my husband's salmon off the menu was ok. Nothing special overall for all 6 of us.
The service was very poor and our server seemed not fazed at all by bringing out our entrees when we had just been served our salads or first course. Who does that?
Very unprofessional and as I said unapologetic. Still shaking my head as to what he was thinking.
The water glasses were kept empty until we asked for more, just overall not at all impressed.
We will not be going there again unless my daughter says to me she will meet me there with my grand baby.

Food was delicious and our server, Alex, was great. She was very knowledgeable on the menu and draft selection.

Made reservations a week in advance and when we walked in we were sat at a table in the waiting room. Not the restaurant and barely even the bar. When asked if we could get a seat in the restraunt they were apologetic and said they would do their best but people were walking in and just seating them selves. We were never approached to move after several people left and other that walked in were seated within the reatraunt.
I'm pretty easy going but it was New Years eve and we came from out of town, had reservations, and this just bummed us out. 40 minutes after being seated we finally ordered our food and it came out pretty fast. It was also pretty yummy. We had rib eyes.

Every single employee who helped our table was great. From Jessee the host, to our bartender Justin, and our server Taylor. We had a large party and appreciated the staff being helpful, patient, and kind. And the food was great!

Stellar service! Our server made some awesome recommendations and I’m so glad we took his advice. The food was delicious. I ordered the Pony Express pasta and my boyfriend ordered the fish & chips. We both enjoyed our meals and it was a great dining experience overall.

I also love their blackberry cider! It’s so delicious.

I would definitely recommend giving Hoppy’s a try!
