Booked a table for 1pm on the Saturday of the Scottish cup final in the live sports booth. On arrival we went to the bar to ask which table our reservation was for and the guy behind the bar was about to show us before the employee who I assume is supposed to be on the door to direct bookings came over and said abruptly, ‘why are you asking him, that’s my job?’ To which I replied ‘well you weren’t there so how am I supposed to know?’ This particular employee’s attitude, tone and manner was shocking from entry to departure. He took us to our table before saying, again, abruptly, ‘by the way don’t expect table service you’ll have to order at the bar’ I replied that I never expected table service as I’d been multiple times. While looking the food menu he came back over with another reserved sign for 3pm, the kick off time for the football we had booked in to watch. I asked what it was for, and he replied, you’re only booked in til 2:45 so you’ll need to be up and away by then as we have another table booked in after you for the football. I had phoned during the week prior to confirm my booking and mentioned we were in for the football to which nothing was mentioned about table booking durations, neither did the confirmation email or the booking system. I explained this to the host who shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly and basically said he didn’t care and that wasn’t his problem. We left to find another pub to watch the football. This may well be their rules regarding bookings but I shouldn’t been told prior to arrival about it and I’d have extended the booking. Why would I book the ‘live sports booth’ if I have no intentions of watching that days live sports? I won’t be returning as the attitude of this particular member of staff was atrocious.

Yeah food was great with huge portions. Issue was there was a family sitting on a two seater next to us. Weird to have kids around in a pub when they obviously wanted to go home

The only downside was the potion was small. The food was well presented and tasty, but quite a small portion. I’d rather pay a bit more for a better portion size.
