Our second ever HopCat location opened back in 2013! Located right outside of Michigan State University's campus and around the corner from the MSU Union, this location features multiple TVs to make sure you’ll have the best seat in the house to catch the Spartans.

HopCat was founded on the principles of bringing local craft beer a bit closer to the communities we love. We’re known for our award-wining Cosmik fries, which are beer battered, sprinkled with our signature cracked black pepper seasoning, and served with a side of warm cheese sauce. From burgers to tacos, our menu offers a range of delicious options.

We live the craft lifestyle - beer, cocktails and even craft food made from scratch. With a dedication to local breweries, sustainability and community engagement, HopCat offers craft beer and great food in a vibrant atmosphere for an inclusive, unforgettable experience.

    We had a party of 15 and service was not good. We got our food and half of dishes were cold and no silverware so had to ask. Drinks weren’t filled up unless we asked. I have been there before with only 4 people and it was great. I will give it another chance.

    Amazing as always. Have been coming here since 2016 as a undergrad, and now a graduate. Always brings back good vibes and memories. Servers are kind and helpful.

    Our puppy had been in the car for a long time so we wanted to sit outdoors. The front desk wasn’t expecting outdoor serving, but they got everything set up, including an umbrella. Everyone was really helpful. Biggs was a great server.

    Natalie was great! Food is amazing! Hangover burger, cheese steak, hot chicken, and lime chicken weee all great! GET DESERT! The cookie dough cheesecake and the brownie are delicious!!!

    We had a great experience at Hop Cat. The atmosphere was clean and fun in spirit. Server was friendly and conscientious. Menu had a great variety including vegetarian options other than a salad! I would consider it elevated bar food. The food came out fresh and tasted great!We were celebrating a MSU student birthday. We received a free dessert of his choice. The cookie dough cheesecake tasted fantastic! We will be back.
