   Had a lovely time at hop hen. We went for Wednesday night bingo and it was a blast, there were groups there of all ages and families. Pizza and beer was great! Would highly recommend!

    Wednesday night bingo at the Hop Hen Is a FANTASTIC night out for all ages. Hop Hen is incredibly inclusive and everyone is valued . The staff are SENSATIONAL, they always go above and beyond to serve, assist, and chat. The staff are SUPER FRIENDLY, informative with the various beers and accommodate the kids with soft drink, juice, icy poles and kids can play bingo too. Fun night out for all and AWESOME pizzas too

    Absolute confusion with the booking. No table prepared for 6 guests in my name Fortunately another table had almost finished and gave it to us as they were gathered around another table.

    Enjoy a tasting beer paddle with some pizzas. It would be great to have a bit more food options at least for entrees such as chips, salads and onion rings. However, they would probably need to hire more staff for it and it's an issue in Australia lately.

    After booking on OpenTable, we arrived on time to NO table. Not sure what happened, but looked as though the big group had priority over our booking, given no table was actually set aside for us. Found a spot outside despite the cold weather, but we stayed for drinks and pizza anyway. Food was average, beers were great. Staff pulled the doors down just after our pizzas were served, cutting us off from the music and ambience of the place. Wouldn't return, which is a shame as it's local.

As a result of your feedback we have adjusted our booking system so that same day bookings must be taken over the phone. That way bookings are mot missed. Unfortunately on that particular night we were short staffed due to a last minute notification of staff illness. As a result your experience was not as good as it could have been.     My favourite local! Delicious brews (That mango tango sour goes down so well on a hot day!) and wood-fired pizzas, quick service, the staff are all wonderful people, there is a dog-friendly outdoors and the vibes on a live-music Sunday arvo make for a great time with mates.

    Friendly staff great beers and affordable nice pizzas in two sizes, which is much appreciated as a huge pizza is too much these days! Beer range includes some weaker session beers. We had the JJ which was very nice and a sensible lunchtime abv of 3.7. Overall and enjoyable experience.

    This has become one of our favourite little spots, the beers are great and constantly changing and the pizzas are amazing, the staff are always happy and friendly and the acoustic sessions are really great.

    This local Brewery is the best! They always promote local artists to sing there which I love. The pizza's are awesome and great value for money and the beer well lets just say 'taste them all' lol

    We loved Hop Hen Brewery! I'd heard good things and we finally got there on Sunday. Great beers and cider. The pizza was amazing. Loved the setup and the seating out the front in the sun was perfect for a relaxing afternoon.

    We just love it! Firstly the staff are so lovely, we feel like family there. The menu is small but the pizzas are so good! And as for the beers - wow - amazing. Guava Sour - world class!!! Bingo Night are so much fun.

    We attended for the Festival of Darkness - Dark Beer and BBQ. We increased the number of people at our table a few hours before the reservation and were able to be accommodated. Unfortunately the BBQ food truck was cancelled which was disappointing but not at all Hop Hen’s fault, they were able to get a delicious Greek food truck to replace this. Lots of tasty beers to try and always friendly staff. Music was a little loud for my liking, it was quite hard to have a conversation at our table. Overall still a great experience and we’ll definitely be back.

    From the webpage We understood this was a child friendly environment, we had 4mnth old twins and a 2yo, and sadly arrived with a band playing loud music and people dancing and yelling (singing) , and our table was at the very front next to the band!! (We had advised our our groups need , high chair, room for a pram, in our booking) . We were not advised this what was occurring when our booking was made. Staff and band members were very friendly and cooperative, however this wasn’t a suitable venue for our group. The website said their were books etc for children, we couldn’t locate these and we’re not advised if them. It was impossible to hear each other or the children, given the high level of background music. The venue is cute, although there is a very limited menu, (nothing specific for children) and is clearly more suited to an adult demographic. If you want to encourage families, my suggestion would be to have family friendly times or days. We would only return without children, and that is probably a long time away for our group. Disappointed, as our adults enjoy visiting local breweries, and enjoying good food, but need something child friendly.

Prior to covid we had kids toys, colourings etc but have removed them as it was near impossible to sanitise everything properly. We will bring this back soon. We always have music on Sunday afternoons, as advertised on Facebook, instagram, etc. It's quieter for the rest of the week. Our kitchen menu is simple However, you are welcome to bring food for youngies who can't eat pizza. We are truly sorry and hope you visit again.

    Staff were fantastic, very accommodating with setting up tab for husbands 60th, service and knowledge of products OUTSTANDING. Pizzas were amazing and a real draw card /bonus was live music . Highly recommend Hop Hen for a relaxed, fun atmosphere ( child friendly too ) , best local establishment for quiet catch up with friends or celebrations

    Our group enjoyed Sunday afternoon drinks at Hop Hen. The tasting paddle of beers were delicious! We tried beers we hadn't thought of tasting before. The pizzas were light and crispy, so delicious! Live music a bonus. Very attentive and friendly service.
