   We had a fabulous meal and enjoyed the live music. Make sure you book! They were having to turn people away every couple of minutes.

   Brilliant atmosphere - live singer when we arrived with a great range of traditional Scottish music. The food menu is short BUT the food ordered was amazing and delicious - I had the chicken balmoral would recommend definitely!

   Our server, Ben, was one of the finest servers that we have experienced since we arrived from the states. His attention to detail and his friendly personality made our day. He kept on checking back to make sure that our needs were met and offered suggestions throughout our experience. The music was fun, lively, and purely Celtic.  when in Inverness, this is the place you want to go!

   Went there after someone recommended to go to Hootenanny. We had a great night, awesome live music and really good food. Tried the Chicken Balmoral, which was great as a first time trying haggis too!

   I was told that the sticky toffee pudding was the best in Scotland. It was not. To be fair, I haven't had all the STP in Scotland. It would have been much better if it had been hot. It was not. I was expecting live musicians playing Highland tunes to have a good Ole Highland Hootananny. It was not. There were 2 musicians. They did not start on time. They played 2 songs and took a short break, played another tune, another break. There was a pub down the street a bit that had the music and Highland Hootananny we were expecting. We ordered ice water. We were brought a £7.50 glass bottle of water. Was it any better than the tap water? It was not. The food was average. The menu about the same as every restaurant from Edinburgh to Inverness. Is the Hootananny Inverness worth trying... You guessed it IT WAS NOT!

    What a great evening at Hootenanny! When we first arrived we noticed, they required a reservation until after 8:30. Thankfully I scanned the code at the door and realized we could get a table in 30 minutes. We were warmly greeted and sat quickly. The live music was wonderful as was the food. We highly recommend the Chicken Balmoral. Make a reservation when in Inverness
