We had an incredible day at Hoopes! All of the animals and especially the donkey did a great job of entertaining our 4 year old boy while we enjoyed some exceptional wines and delicious pastries!
A lovely break in the middle of a busy Napa week! Great for kids!

$50 per person for 1 hour tasting. The time limit is very uncomfortable. The concept is pretty cool with the sanctuary for animals. The food options are overpriced and nothing available for just a group of two.
Kid-friendly yet still private and romantic! I had friends fly in from Chicago and they found it so peaceful. We loved the outdoor seating and of course the garden and rescue animals. An oasis indeed.
Such a great wine tasting experience and so perfect with kids!! The animals on property kept her entertained while we enjoyed sipping the delicious wine! Great vibe and super friendly and helpful staff! Highly recommend!
The best venue for wine tasting we have been too. It is gorgeously designed, the outdoor spaces comfortable well spaced out oasiss.
We did the boozy pastry bite and tasting for a perfect first stop of the day and loved the 2016 Cab Saab. Highly recommend this stop!
Our party had an amazing time at Hoopes Vineyard, and our kids loved the Oasis by Hoopes center with all of the rescue animals, the cute airstream, and the yurt with toys inside! It was definitely a very family friendly winery, which is hard to find one these days. The rose and cabernet was delicious and we paired it with the artisan cheese board. We will be coming back on our next visit to Napa Valley!
We didn't eat, just had wine. The wine was good. There's a $50 minimum per person, per hour. We couldn't finish in just one hour, so we had to spend $200. It was fine, we just ordered some wine to be sent home, but just be prepared! The ambiance is great and beautiful views.
Just an incredible place for any occasion. Owners are amazing hosts too.
Hoopes continues to be one of my favorite Napa wineries. Arriving at the property and being immediately greeted with a glass of Rosé was an amazing welcome. The staff, food, ambiance and of course the Wine is amazing, not to mention the views of the rescued farm animals that meander around the property. I definitely would recommend Hoopes to an adult group or family with kids!
I didn't eat here just came for the wine and animal experience. This is a lot different from other wineries, they don't give you flights of wine which I liked a lot better because each person pays $50 for admission/seating and that credit goes towards food or beverages. We were 4 people and got to leave with 4 bottles of wine with our admission credit. They do give a complimentary glass of rose when you walk in, which was exquisite. Loved the animals and simply how beautiful this winery is.
First of all, it came on my search for lunch place and it is NOT a restaurant or food oriented business, it’s a winery. Second of all, it was extremely loud, some heavy rock is blaring all over the property. The waiting was aloof and not welcoming. There was no food, except bread and cheese and no soft drinks for my husband. The only positive thing were animals rescued during the fires. Definitely, not coming back neither for wine nor food. Overall, weird place. On top of all that the prices are unreasonably high. We left hungry, annoyed with over 200 bill.
What a beautiful place, with excellent service and a rescue animal farm. Simply perfect.
Jeff was fantastic. Knowledgeable and friendly. Atmosphere relaxing and serene. Fun take on traditional Napa tastings.
Our visit to Oasis by Hoopes blew us away! We can easily say it's now one of our favorite wineries/vineyards. The wine was great (great Chardonnay!!) and the environment was even better. There are rescue animals ranging from goats, pigs, chickens, a donkey, and some turkeys that make this vineyard a really special place. The decoration is very trendy and created a great social space. Overall, it doesn't get better than Oasis by Hoopes. We will absolutely be back!
I booked this place because it was a regenerative farm and I loved what they stood for. They weren’t clear that this was $50 per person minimum and for that I won’t be back. Every other winery specifies this up front and clearly. It’s spoiled the experience for me and the party I booked for.
Hoopes Vineyard is truly a uniques experience in Napa Valley. We absolutely loved the setting and the ambience. There are individually designed seating vignettes to choose from - each with beautiful views and a bit of privacy. The wine is delicious and the structure for tasting/ experimenting is unique. Moana was our experience guide and she was lovely. The rescue animals and their stories are heartwarming.
Our only misunderstanding is we thought there were would be food trucks providing food options. When we visited, the food options were limited to charcuterie or pastries.
Definitely planning a return visit!
One star for the view and atmosphere. They purposefully slow serve you to try and get you to go to the next hour and spend another $50 per person. The four mini bottle option sounds like a great idea until it comes to the table in used soda bottles and with no explanation as to “what is what”...after a 37 minute wait. The wine was so bad that we were able to finish one 25% of a wine-bottle-sized bottle. We left the other three behind. This place is running a simple scheme based on the fact that most nearby wineries are booked up.
Loved everything about this Vineyard! Especially that it’s a small, family run agricultural business making really great wine. Loved the casual atmosphere with all the adorable rescue animals! Love the cheese platters and that the vegan choices! Beautiful! Super great experience that I would highly recommend and will be sending my friends to!
What a delightful way to spend the day! Head up to Napa and go to a unique setting with rescue animals lining the fences. There are not many vineyards that help you to keep your kiddos having a good time. Hoopes takes into account the family experience. We spent about an hour at our table and had the Cheese Board which was a good amount of food for a family of four. We had one bottle of wine and didn't quite finish it -- the Rosé is delicious.
For those of you looking to get back into the world and take your kids for a safe family fun wine tasting -- it is POSSIBLE! Go to Hoopes!
Celebrated a birthday here. Absolutely darling spot! Not your traditional tasting as you’ll pour your own drinks, but everything was wonderful. From the boozy breakfast bites to the cheeseboard to the wine!
Really fun to see the animals (a wide variety of farm animals) while we were wine tasting. Very dog friendly!
The winery was cute and off on a side road. The Bell winery is directly across the street from it. The winery sign is in neon and a barn is attached to the side. It’s very country and live PIGS and chickens are running around. It’s kind of gross bc you see their crap all on the ground. Not my cup of tea. The wine was decent and we sat outside but won’t be going back.
I'll start with the outstanding! The ambiance, music, food, and wine were impeccable. Honestly, winter in California never felt so good! Plus woman owned and operated!! Yes please and thank you! Unfortunately, there was so much conflicting info from their website to instagram to friends that also had reservations. It was so confusing we went from a party of 10 to a party of 4. Thankfully, Marissa set everything right and it was because of her clear, direct, compassionate, professional communication that had me keep my rez. Then she was our server, and although very busy and hard to track down, when we did, she effortlessly gave us her undivided attention. Because of her and the owner, I'll definitely be going back.
Beautiful location that includes a rescue animal farm. Very kid-friendly; the best place we've found for wine tasting with young kids.
We had a lovely time on Valentine’s Day! The caviar selection was delicious. The rescue animals were a delight, especially watching the little playful ponies! Thanks!
Great experience! Staff was great. Cool spot.
We went for a wine tasting and were delighted to hear about the history of the vineyard and all the rescued farm animals. The wine tasting was wonderful and we were happy to bring home a few bottles. It’s also great that it’s dog friendly!
This was this most AMAZING place in the whole wide world... my boyfriend and I cannot wait to return!!
Absolute perfection for tasting safely and respectfully around others when with a toddler. Total little piece of paradise and worth every penny.
This place is aptly named- an oasis! It's a unique and tranquil environment in Napa. Not only can you taste some yummy wine, but you are surrounded by beautiful vineyards, gardens and animals as part of the property's sanctuary.
There is a fee ($50/person/hr) that can be used towards wine to go or wine to drink there. You have the option to purchase mini bottles of wine (3 of your choice for $95) or full bottles (ranging from $35-125). Things could definitely add up quickly if you stay for a while, but it’s a nice spot to check out for a bit.
Their charges per hour are outrageous. $50 per hour per person + $15 per person for outside food ?!
We tried to explain that for 8 adults and 3 kids, it doesn’t make any sense to spend $800 for 2 hours.
There were no other people there but us, and they still preferred that we leave rather than staying and buying wine.
The place is lovely, I wish it worked out.
Great ambiance, what could be better than having animals at your side while you're sipping wine?
All around 10/10! Great place to stop by and enjoy some wine!
Hoopes Vineyard is not a restaurant (Why is it on OpenTable?) and doesn’t serve any food. You can bring your own food. They don’t offer wine tasting by flights only bottle service. Their wines average between $38 to $125. The Oakville cab is $75 and Dante $125. Their best Cabernet, the Dante is a light earthy cab very little structure to it. Their 2020 smoke tainted grapes are being used to make liquor.
The price to sit in their garden is $60/hr per person. Lots of farm animals as part of their sanctuary but no petting and feeding of the animals are not allowed. Basically for 90min “self tour wine tasting” for two you’ll have to pay $240 worth in wine. If you’re looking for an animal sanctuary with wine bottle service that allows you to bring your own food this is the pace for you. It’s just not a restaurant, wine tasting room or food venue.
We had a WONDERFUL experience!!! It was a beautiful property, great vibes, farm animals, wonderful service/attention from the wine educator. Very kid friendly with the farm animals (goats, pigs, ponies etc!). We definitely hope to be back! Note: They don’t serve any food but allow you to bring your own!
Great wines but they aren’t yet licensed for wine tasting flights. Bottle service only. Great staff. Bucolic setting. I look forward to going back when they have a tasting room.
Very nice place, children friendly and beautiful garden
