   Birthday lunch. Food great. Welcome very average and service not bad just given with no interaction or interest in the diner. Great design and outstanding crockery. In summary, great food but no soul.

   Excellent Sunday lunch. Roast was very good value. A la carte choices were excellent. Wine list very approachable. Worth the interesting drive from fish hill.

   The Hook never fails to impress. Good service, great food, wonderful setting and relaxed ambiance. What's not to like? We continue to have Sunday lunches here about once a month and are always impressed.

   We were a family of 7 for Sunday lunch and we had a wonderful meal. The menu is great for fish and non fish eaters and there’s an extensive wine menu. The surroundings are beautiful - I’d describe as luxe log cabin, intimate yet spacious.. service was good. We will definitely be back.

   We enjoyed a lovely lunch. Service in the bar area before lunch was slow but once at the table it was pretty smooth. Food was good and lovely decor and atmosphere.

   As the name implies, the menu is heavy on fish dishies with some different tastes. Apart from ourselves, the customers seemed to be in the better off 35-40 age bracket to whom the ambience, decor and menu may appeal more.

   A lovely setting at the Fish Hotel. The drive from Fish Hill is an adventure in itself. Set lunch was very good value and beautifully prepared and served. Can't fault it for my daughter's birthday. Wine list is short but very good. All in all a very interesting place. We have eaten at the Dormy House sister hotel on occasions and it is equally good. Will be going back before Christmas.
