Try their Kurobuta pork chop the best ! Moist, thick, tasty tender pork chop!! The Hawaiian shrimp salad with cilantro and orange awesome refreshing tasty salad! Their fish and chip was also very good! As well as the crab dip ! Great service ! Very attentive great food and ambiance !!
This was a very nice restaurant. We had the sustainable fish for dinner and it was delicious. Our waiter provided excellent service. While dining we were treated with delightful music. This isn't something that happens regularly, but very special during the Jazz Party!
We were expecting a bit more of a Valentine’s Day vibe but it was a typical dinner at a hotel. Decent food
My wife and I enjoyed this restaurant. We only saw two staff members but they were very attentive. Tai appeared to be the host, server & manager and had one assistant. He was personable and well informed on the menu, and checked on us often. The food and bar drinks were very good. I had the 3-item chef special which was a great value at $30. There was some noise from the bar area but not excessive. My only suggestion would be to section off some of the restaurant on slow evenings to create a more cozy atmosphere. Thank you Tai for your service.
Great food and service.
We went at 6:46 pm on Saturday night and the restaurant is large, but there was only one other table of patrons, which was great since it's almost impossible to find a nice restaurant in Newport Beach where you can hear the people at your own table speak.
Tod (Todd?) was our server and he was amazing, friendly, got all the orders right, and took great care of us. The menu had everything we wanted - it's not gigantic, but it's excellent. And I'm a vegetarian (but I eat fish).
I consider this place a real "find".
Cheryl, Thank you for your comments!! I will share with Todd that you loved his service and I'm glad you were able to find a dish that fits your dietary needs. We look forward to delighting you again in the near future.
Stayed at the hotel for the weekend and ate dinner there our first night. The meal was underwhelming. I ordered the New York Prime and it was very salty. My wife ordered the salmon and had the same complaint. The decor is modern, but no real ambience as the entire restaurant was very brightly lit. It turned out the same menu was provided as the room service menu. The subsequent items we ordered the next night had the same issue. Lots of salt, but not much else for flavor.
the appetizers are worth it, entrees are average... good for a quick bite and drinks
This place has the potential to be an amazing restaurant, however it needs a major overhaul. The food is delicious, but the service is terrible and the ambience is pretty sad.
Food is awesome and so was the service!
I don't know why this place isn't more crowded. Wonderful food and service. Much better than you'd expect for a hotel dining room. We had the Prime New York and the Flounder. Both were great. Started with the Hawaiian shrimp with Octopus over greens and a light dressing. The house made gelato trio was also very tasty. They have a very cool bar as well. Good stiff drinks and wine pours. We will be back. Thank you.
The food was excellent and great choice. Perfect for an Anniversary. Good Travel Zoo voucher!
The hostess was great, we had hopes for a good evening. I may give them another chance just because of her. Our waIter suggested a popular cabnernet when I asked for a recommendation. He brought me a glass with lots of particles floating in it. I let him know and he brought me another, which also had lots of particles in it. At that point , our main course arrived, and I wanted some wine so I let him know again, but I drank it, figuring it was probably just cork. When I was at the end of my glass, I noticed there was a bug in the bottom of the wine glass. They still charged me $18 for the glass of wine. Something is seriously wrong with their customer service and/or their policies if that is standard practice. Totally unacceptable. And they did not acknowledge or even mention that there was a special occasion. I could not recommend this place
Had a good meal, the place was totally empty and there’s not much more I can say about it.
The octopus wasn’t very good but everything else was OK.
We started at the Bar and the Bartender was very Good.
We had the wings (very Good!!!!)
Wedge Salad was Excellent.
Over all everything was Great !!!
Had a Tracelzoo coupon which included a shared appetizer, two entree and dessert. We started with crab and artichoke dip, delicious. My wife had the Char and I had the Halibut. Both were really well prepared and very tasty. The brownie sundae was Hugh and satisfying.
Limited menu, over priced menu options and the ambiance needs work. I felt like I was in a cafeteria.
The food was great and the waitress was excellent. We were glad we were in the dining room as the bar was very noisy. Nice view of the pool area.
Empty on a Saturday night!
I highly recommend this place. Great drinks. The steaks and lamb are tender and flavorful. The Hawaiian shrimps and Brussels sprouts were yummy.
Was not impressed.
Excellent oysters on the half shell ; interesting sauce and also could provide raw horseradish when requested. First bar lady I have met in he US who could mix a genuine "pink gin" when asked for. Service was quiet and attentive. This was our first time at this restaurant as
Newport residents and we will return
Valentines. Menu was small and food, service and help wasn't worth it. We ended up
Having to have a drink and go to another place to eat dinner.
The bread was fantastic. Enjoyed the crab dip with chips. The charred NY steak was more than I could handle.
