Hook & Ladder is the unexpected steakhouse you’d never thought you’d find in the historic, original firehouse of the Washington Fire Company. This is a one-of-a-kind Skybar experience allowing guests a close view of our 149 year old firehouse, bell tower and original stained glass windows. A unique cross between a chop house and Crudo bar, Hook & Ladder features Certified A5 Japanese wagyu beef that will melt in your month. Dry aged Steak offerings including 32 days dry aged Porterhouse (28oz), 32 days aged Tomahawk Ribeye (40oz) that will taste decidedly beefy, much like a rare roast beef, while also taking on subtler hints of other delicious flavors. Crudo uses the Japanese technique of curing the fish making it more tender and flavorful. Finishing it with lime, lemon, and soy; featuring Wild King Salmon, Japanese Madai, Hamachi and more. Enjoy the purest and fresh take on some classic cocktails.

We had such a wonderful dinner at Hook and Ladder last night. Allison our waitress was outstanding. Attentive, kind, and made the whole experience even better. From the ambience to the whole vibe, everything was wonderful. The oysters were a 10/10, and every dish we tried -braised beef, tuna bites, scallops, and the tomato salad - was absolutely delicious. Allison even noticed it was our anniversary, which was so thoughtful. You can really tell they pay attention. Drinks were just as amazing. Omg. We’ll definitely be back soon!!!

Service and ambiance were amazing. Some food was amazing (spicy tuna bites) but other things were disappointing (like the filet mignon was overcooked).

What a great place we were there for happy hour and enjoyed it thoroughly. Dan, the bartender was absolutely awesome. Would definitely recommend.

Lloyd was great while at the bar. The food was very, very good. All in all a great night. The atmosphere was extremely relaxed.

Good experience! We did have to wait quite a while to even have our server come over to us and take our order - in all honesty it was probably a good half hour. However, she was very kind and attentive after that! Not sure if it was a shift change. The food was AMAZING and they have a very extensive wine, cocktail and whiskey list. We sat outside and enjoyed the weather - the overall ambiance was relaxing. Would definitely come again and recommend!

The food was horrible the steak was dry and chewy, the salmon was dry and had no taste and the lobster tails were chewy ! I was so disappointed because this place had good reviews ! Apparently the chef is new. The waiter David was awesome and the drinks were good and strong . Will not go again until food is better ! The manager was open for feedback. Place is beautiful

We enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. It's located on the second flr inside of a hotel. Our server Dennis did a fine job taking care of us. We were celebrating our anniversary and Dennis brought out a piece of cake and ice cream unannounced which was a nice touch and very much appreciated. We did check out the sky bar also and that was a cool vibe.
