The food is delicious and setting is so nice. You feel like you’re on the beach with the waves coming right up to the deck. We always enjoy this restaurant. It is pricey, but it’s so worth it for a splurge. We will be back!

We loved everything!! The food was outstanding. The ambience and the magnificent sunset was absolutely beautiful. The service was great and the owner Justin was just a great person. Super personable and warm. We can’t wait to go back!! We highly recommend going to Honu. It is now one of our favorite restaurants on Maui!!! Thank you to Justin and his staff for making it an awesome night and an incredible meal! 🌅

Superb food and service. Unfortunately there was a pungent odour from next door doing some work affecting ambience. Management promptly apologised and offered the cheque to be taken care of. We do feel for management as this was outside their control. We are grateful for this gesture.

Most excellent afternoon lunch with an incredible view, attentive service and delicious food. The Mahi Mahi sandwich was perfectly prepared and all ingredients (lettuce, tomato and red onion) were organic, fresh and tasty along with a perfectly cooked large piece of fish. My wife said this was the best mahi she has tasted during our last two weeks on the island. I also had the fish sandwich and I totally agree, so we are going back this afternoon to experience this all over again. Also, the pineapple pie with vanilla ice cream was amazing too!

Kayla served us a delicious meal. She was an outstanding waitress, warm and friendly and very attentive to our needs and wishes. We 2 sisters from Denver and Charleston enjoyed the beautiful setting, sea turtles popping their heads up periodically, and spectacular sunset view. Especially liked the “locals vibe”. The pineapple pie was to die for. We will be recommending it to our friends and family. A real taste of the Aloha spirit.

We had a reservation that had been held by credit card at 730. However, we were not actually seated till 800. Waited 30 minutes! Hostess was nice. Server was nice. Hostess finally put us at a great table next to the water on the patio. Server forgot our salad. Long wait for our dinner too. Very busy and slow service. Food was good. Lots of other great restaurants on Maui so not sure we will return to be honest.

Great place. We come back for special occasions because the views, food and vibe are just perfect. Not too fancy, nice mix of people and staff are very friendly. We always comment that we wish our own living room looked like this restaurant!

We celebrated our 50th anniversary here last night. We started with a glass of Prosecco, then had the Bruschetta…OMG this was amazing! Then we had a small Caesar salad. Then the special…a five ounce Panko crusted Mahi Mahi with a large Dover Scallop on top and it all sat on vegetables and fingerling potatoes. We ended our meal with tea, coffee and shared a dish of butterscotch pudding with whipped cream and berries. It was an amazing meal with excellent service. If we come back to Maui, we will definitely come here again.

We spent a magical evening at Honu Oceanside and cannot say enough about the experience. From the awesome cocktails to the amazing food, we were hooked; and then there is the VIEW! Fortunate souls get to experience sunset from the open area on the back of the restaurant and we were those chosen. Pure magic as the sea turtles bobbed up in the water, seemingly close enough to touch while the sun slipped slowly to the water. That’s not to say that the rest of the restaurant was lacking, in fact, we want to come back just to dine in the upscale yet non-pretentious bar area or main dining room.

Honu will be one of your standout memories of Hawaii! It was such a beautiful experience, from the waves lapping up practically at your feet, to the most exquisite dining experience! Our server, Tasha, was so engaging and attentive in making sure our experience was top notch. The food was perfection and every bite was beyond delicious. The owners were present and making sure each table were satisfied and enjoying their experience. Absolutely the best sunset location in Maui!

It was beautiful scenery. Amazing and courteous service. The food was pretty lack luster. Granted, we got fish and chips, a burger, truffle fries, and a ceaser salad. The fries and salad were amazing. The fish and chips were delicious and large portions. The burger was extremely bland and flavorless. I was a bit surprised because you can't really mess up a burger. For the prices, it was mediocre, but paying for the scenery and sunset was worth it.

Anything you order will be delicious! It’s our favorite restaurant to bring new comers to Maui. The staff is always friendly and attentive. Best atmosphere- can’t beat listening to the sounds of gentle waves at the shore and watching for turtles to swim by!

Waiter was so bad.. was not attentive.. could have cared less.. with that said loved our meal!!! It’s a shame when the wait staff isn’t .. I realize it’s a hard job.. but……
