I would have appreciated our server not being in such a rush and giving us an opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback. We felt like the least important table in her section. I had to get up to give her my credit card because we were tired of waiting for her to come take it. She touched every table except for ours.
Food was great. Wait staff was awesone! I will return.
Shrimp was old and the overall food preparation was bad. Not a very special experience for this chef and her reputation... disappointing.
For diners following a vegetarian diet, Honeywood provides thoughtful options. My daughter and I ordered the carrot croquettes and the beet loaf. Both were of exceptional quality. Lexington’s vegetarian options are thankfully improving...Honeywood chooses to highlight these options creatively, leading the way for other restaurants to take notice. Well done! We’ll be back!
The food was good. It took us a long time to get our food though. I’m not sure why it was so slow. We both enjoyed our meals. I feel like the presentation was kind of lacking but it tasted good. There was a chive stuck to my husband’s pie, so I assume there was a lot going on in the back.
For us they just couldn’t get it right. Ordered 3 cocktails al bad. Sangria was meh at best, mule didn’t come with any of the flavors listed on the menu, tasted like vodka and ice, and lastly I tired at makers and ginger with splash of peach... came warm with 2 ice cubes and zero carbonation. I then gave up... then came the food... all fell short. Sweet potato fritters were in a really bizarre sauce that was sour, biscuits very basic, and cheese dip was ok. Main course the scallops sat in pool of butter and no flavor, burger over done and no flavor, and pot roast very cafeteria like and bland... we wouldn’t recommend... bummer too this place was written up in vogue which is how we found out about it
Not good at all. Awful food ( very salty food).
It was not like a restaurant food at all.
Our table was a available right at our reservation time. Our waiter was very good and the food was excellent. We did have to wait a long time for our entree and the portion size was very small for the price. 2 entrees, 2 cocktails, 1 salad for 2 people was 87 with tip. You may leave hungry. I will try it again and order an appetizer.
Great food, great atmosphere, and great dining experience!
Beautiful restaurant with awesome food! The beignets are amazing! We loved everything from the appetizers, to dinner, and dessert. Can't wait to go back.
Fantastic restaurant, all around. I've been twice, now, and both times it exceeded expectations. The food is wonderful, the service is on point and it's a neat space, in a new area. I will be returning!
This was our first visit to Honeywood and we will definitely be going back. Wife had the pork chop and I had the lamb. Both dishes were excellent. Service was great. We were seated quickly. Noise level was a little on the high side but wasn’t unbearable. It did not take away from the experience. We will be going back.
Love Honeywood, something for everyone plus great bar.
We took my mom out to dinner for her birthday. It was perfect! Would highly recommend to go.
The food, atmosphere, and service were great. Really enjoyed the cocktails. Also, don’t miss the bone marrow appetizer.
Another great lunch at Honeywood. We enjoyed the Chicken Salad Sandwich & CatFish lunch. Waiter was outstanding and atmosphere is always nice.
As a vegan, I appreciate the excellent entree, carrot croquettes on a bed of warm hummus with crispy chickpeas. My husband had the oyster appetizer and said it was outstanding. He also enjoyed the pot roast with a side of greens. Nice place, good service, good wine list, and prompt, friendly service.
Food was amazing. Literally amazing. Bourbon select was good and the prices were even better. Flight prices were the best I have seen in Lexington.
Excellent food. Wonderful service!
We had a reservation for 6:30 on Friday evening and there were very few people seated at that time. We ordered an entire and the pre fix 3, which included a salad, entre, and dessert. The ingredients in the salad were very fresh and it was plenty for the 2 of us. We each ordered seafood, scallops and salmon, with fresh vegetables and wonderful sauces. It was delicious and a good sized portion! Finally, we finished with the bread pudding, a perfect finish to a wonderful meal. The restaurant was packed as we finished. The service was very good and the experience was great! Ouita Michael is a master!
Exceeded expectation. What a gem. Three of us ordered three different meals. They were each unique and outstanding. I will return.
As we were traveling to Kentucky, this was a wonderful surprise to find a place this good on the road. We will remember you on our next trip.
This was our first time eating here and it exceeded my expectations. The food was amazing and service was tremendous. We will most definitely be coming back in the future to eat here overall great place.
What a gem! 5 star experience in a casual setting. Food was amazing. Staff are top notch. Cannot wait to go back.
We enjoyed our food, but also thought the price was high for the portions. Nice ambiance.
We had a fantastic dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed Honeywood.
Very good food at reasonable price. Beautiful inside with option to eat outside.
From appetizers to desserts everything we had exceded our expectations. The 'Four O'CLOCK' starter is definitely a winner and a very shareable item to enjoy with a cocktail.
The spinach salad was fresh and delicious.
The Salmon special was light and perfectly prepared and left me wanting more.
The Bourbon Chocolate pie was a perfect ending to a delightful meal.
Excellent service by the server who timed my dishes very nicely. So much so they I have enough time to know each dish before I proceeded with the next one. Farm to table had never seemed so homely before!
Wonderful! Great food, service, atmosphere, and food came out in a timely manner!
Great food and value. Nice casual setting
The entire dining experience was excellent with service, food, atmosphere, and price.
There was a great selection of original farm to table menu choice and delicious creative cocktails. I began with a cocktail that had fresh local blackberries, infused vodka and a hint of basil. Refreshing and the perfect start. My husband enjoyed the Blackberry Farm IPA. We both ordered side salads, my husband the burger, I ordered the pork loin and we ordered a basket of biscuits to go along with our salads. We made the request that our salads be brought out before our entrees. There was a hiccup and the salads and entrees were all brought out together. There were no biscuits. We were offered free desert, but not offered to have the salad charged removed from our bill. So as to not have our entrees get cold we chose to eat those and box our salads to pass along to a homeless soul. Desert was not something that interested us so we politely declined. I would suggest that next time the option be given to remove the charge for the salads. Overall, the food was good. The timing and service could have been better. It appears they may be understaffed as is most establishments these days. It won't keep me from going back. It's worth trying.
Great food, great atmosphere and overall wonderful dinner experience!
Inventive menu, nice ambiance, good service. The prices are reasonable.
Our friends live on the north side of Lexington and had never been to Honeywood. They raved about the food!!
We enjoyed drinks and conversation too! Thank you for not having televisions in your dining room!
Our food was delicious. We loved the cocktails and the fresh, local ingredients.
The food was excellent! My wife's steak was cooked perfectly, and my scallops were deeply seared, but not over cooked and very tender and moist. Great restaurant!
Food is great, lots of options, and reasonably priced. Good service and ambiance. One of our favorite places for dinner
The food was great along with the customer service.
