Honey's Ratings and Reviews
Such a great surprise--My first of many more visits to this new and creative gem! Food is delicious and service was impeccable. Unassuming street entrance leads to a wonderful inviting atmosphere. Loved it!! Staff has created a special vibe. Will be seeing Honeys again VERY SOON!!
I've quite literally never had a worse dining experience in my life, nor have I ever felt the need to write a review until now. Everything from the hostess (her energy was like a giant eye roll), the service (did our server hate us??), the food (had to send back the oysters, dry pork, WAY over-salted seafood...), the 3 bottles of wine that were available from the menu (all of which were marked up 4-5X the price of retail (I did the research) were horrific. I had to speak to the manager at the end of the meal to ask if we did something to upset the restaurant, because I couldn't think of another reason why the experience was so bad (I'm not sure if they were upset that we called earlier to ask if we could add 2 more to our reservation?). Please do not waste your time or money. Go elsewhere. The only redeeming factor was the manager who took 25% off our bill.
Dinner service took a very long time. Wasnt a huge problem but the couple seated beside us were inconsolable and frankly ruined the meal. Not the fault of the restaurant, but i wish there were a way to deal with that. Otherwise food was incredible and service was professional.
The restaurant was clean and nice. The hosts were friendly and helpful. The bar had nice bartenders that made good cocktails. It fell apart in the dining room. The atmosphere was nice, but the waitress wasn’t that helpful with the menu, and gave a strange vibe. The person that helped the server was a grump, and was pretty neglectful when it came to keeping drinks filled and dishes cleared. The food was a bit less than average for the price point. The strangest and most irritating thing was when it came to dinner. The tables were full in the restaurant, but NOBODY had food. Everybody was just sort of looking around at each other with no food. The wait time was so long the table next to us, and our table considered leaving. The wait time would have been forgiven if the food was good, but it was just a disappointment on an otherwise lovely evening.
Wonderful spot for a date night, every detail shows attention and purpose from the bread service through the decore. The cocktails and food menus are excellent, showing creativity without becoming overly stuffy or trying to do too much. The service is also excellent, it is attentive and comfortable without becoming overbearing.
Overpriced for the portion size and quality. Management determines if you can have a "double" because they measure their drinks and still charge $14. Oh, and extra $2 if you want the same amount "up" vs. "on the rocks". Would never return. Don't waste your time here - to many better places for this price point.
The food was outstanding. We had the pork chops and salmon. The cauliflower was out of this world. Portions were more than sufficient. Presentation was excellent!
Our server went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. Educated us on the menu selections. Made great recommendations and was attentive throughout our meal.
Great atmosphere. We were there on a Wednesday evening. Some birthday celebrations with some groups, but at no impact on our evening.
I would highly recommend for a great evening. The entire experience is worth the visit. You will not be disappointed.
My friend and I had dinner at the bar on a Saturday night. She is vegan- I am not. We both had plenty of yummy options for apps and dinner (kale salad and swordfish- fantastic). The food was very fresh and very well prepared. I had a few old fashioned's which were well done- not sure about the drinks on the cocktail menu. The service was very attentive and the parlor upstairs was great for an after dinner drink. Will definitely be back.
Everything was fabulous! Food was delicious, service was great and the overall design of the space is beautiful.
My only complaint is that I had booked the reservation stating it was my husband's birthday and also mentioned it to the server when we were seated. We ordered dessert but they did not include a candle or anything special for the birthday. I only comment on this as it would have been a nice touch (and I saw other tables receive this service while we were there). Overall though, great service!
Celebrated our anniversary here. Building is unassuming from the outside, but once you enter the bar area, you're welcomed by tall ceilings, skylights, rustic decor and cool modern art. The service was great and the food was excellent. We loved each dish - we got the oysters, smoked cauliflower, scallops (excellent), squid ink orecchiette, and chocolate mousse. Food and ambiance were perfect for a special night.
