We were staying at the hotel for a conference and really excited to try out the restaurant as it had been recommended. First of all, there was not a lot of selection on the menu. Our appetizer was delicious, beautifully plated and tasted great. We both had seafood for our mains, and the mussels were “off” and very small on the one dish, and it was very bland for the price point. When we mentioned the mussels we were brought some shrimp to make up for it, which seemed mushy and undercooked. The salmon was cooked perfectly though, and so delicious. Unfortunately the vegetables to go with it again were very average. All in all, service was good, ambiance lovely, food not consistent enough for the price I’d say.
It was very good. Service and my Louie Louie salad.
French toast was very good, and I loved the ambience and setting.
Decent dining before we went to casino
Food was just ok. Service is so bad and soo slow. I've been here a few times and service Is always extremely slow. Won't be coming back
Had a wonderful brunch. Food was great! Enjoyed the Caesar cart that went around.
The restaurant itself is beautiful but the food was not impressive and overpriced. Ive had much tastier brunch at much less expensive restaurants in the city. We probably won't be returning.
The scallops are incredible and the service friendly and unobtrusive.
Great ambience . Comfortable setting. Our server Grant was very attentive. Brunch items were OK.Greens in the Louie louie and other salads could be better The vegetarian Honey Salt Market was well presented and delicious . The carrot cheesecake recommended by Grant was heavenly as were the apple pie and Brookie!!!
We’ve been there quit a few times as we live a block away amd happy with the food and etc.. . On the night of April 07, the food was terrible. Even my burger was burnt. Unfortunately my wife didn’t let me bring it up to our server that night.
Food was good but not mind blowing, therefore I found their pricing on the higher end.
Celebrating my wife birthday at the JW Parq and decided to have dinner downstairs at Honey salt. Good farm to table style food. Very attentive service but disappointed that we were charged $5 for a side of bread at table without being told.
Poor service, our waiter was not helpful at all not even friendly,. Food was ok not the greatest. I ordered duck salad, you would think it would mean that there is more lettuce on the plate but I counted it was only 5 with a piece of duck leg. To me that should be in the main course section not in the salad menue. Spend 50 dollars each person definitely value was not there. Over all I am disappointed!
I expected more.
Food was good and service was ok!
First time to honey salt. Went for brunch. My friend ordered the Dungeness crab egg Benedict. Went home and had to go to the bathroom a few times.
I had the English breakfast, paid $21 for something you can have at Denny’s. I’m saying food quality-wise and innovation. If you want to bring in the ambience and service. Fine. But you’re still paying tips at both places and it’s nothing more than a check-in place if the food is not exceptional.
I’ve been to way better brunches in Vancouver (ex. Boulevard or Harksworth), and honey salt just falls short in everything.
The venue is lovely and open. I loved the natural light and fresh vibe. The hostess was awesome. She was warm, welcoming and helpful - great first impression. Our server didn’t embody the same energy but she got the job done, although we had to ask for the bill and wait for it to finally arrive. The front end staff (hostess team) we’re looking lovely again on the way out.
The food was not very hot or very interesting on the plate. I think I had higher expectations of quality and presentation. I wouldn’t come back again for brunch.
I dined at Honey Salt a couple of times and I realized the taste and quality of the food is not consistent.
Food was very average one of our appetizers was over cooked they shrimp were tough and chewy not what I would of expected for 18$
The food here was just ok. We had the Tofino Fry, nothing special, comparable to bar calimari elsewhere. The black cod was a bit one-note, not much depth of flavour. My husband had the pork secreto, said it was a bit dry but the accompaniments were good. The honey salt pie for dessert was a flavour sensation, my husband liked it but way too strong of salt flavour for me. The margarita was good. Atmosphere overall was nice and good service but the food fell short of our expectations, especially for a $160 meal.
We enjoyed our entire experience. The service was excellent. We liked the vegetarian options. Two of our favourites were the Brussel sprouts and the salad. My brother who is non-veg enjoyed the chicken entree.
The one thing that we noticed that it was very loud around 8:30 pm and hard to hear each other talk.
Overall I would rate the restaurant 9/10.
The food and drinks were quite good but what stood out the most was the service. It was impeccable from beginning to end. We will definitely return and will recommend to friends.
Wonderful cosy room.Unpretentious. Absolutely delicious !
Noruz / Persian New year celebration lunch with friends. There was a bridal party seated very close to us and it was extremely loud with a table of 40 women so close - we could not hear our own conversation.
Food was awesome, loved the vibe in the restaurant.
The menu looked awesome on line. However, compared to the usual Vancouver dining scene the flavours were just okay. It was good, just not great or amazing. Food was under seasoned and the mac and cheese (side dish) was watery. The cocktails were pretty tasty with a fun apple pear sangria.
Awesome!! Great atmosphere, great food, great service. I will recommend to my friends.
Always nice to have lunch/dinner here. Love this place, food and staff :)
Extremely over priced for the simplicity of the brunch dishes and portion sizes.
Great atmosphere and service. The appetizers were amazing, but unfortunately the dinner menu special that night served was truly disappointing. Two people in my party ordered the St Patrick's day Cod and ravioli with peas and it was very bland. I tried it as well, the fish was hard and the ravioli was tasteless. Hopefully this was just a special and not a regular dish served as it wasn't tried and tested before serving perhaps. Best to stick to the regular menu if I were to return again.
Enjoyed the setting. Was there for afternoon tea. Ordered our tea, only to be brought a tea pot w hot water and then handed a tea bag. Disappointing and not expected when going for tea. Sandwiches very good, popovers not so good and not necessary. Scones and sweets were good. Overall good, just wish the tea could have been served properly.
The server was polite and knowledgeable, the decor is fantastic and the food is delicious
Love the ambiance of Honey Salt but the service was very poor! I waited over 15mins before our server said anything to us. She never said anything but what would you like to drink during our whole experience.
Thank you Honey Salt for a lovely experience! The service was amazing and the food was delicious. I only wish there were more vegetarian options!
Food is way below par, portion is small, taste not great, nothing particularly impressive.Pretty disappointing. The only thing good is the service and ambiance.
Loved the ambiance and the atmosphere. Service was great and it was good food!
Great service and ambiance
My friends and I were given terrible service (especially by the front of house) which was unfortunate since the place had such potential to be our new favourite brunch spot.
I really enjoyed the scallops, and their popular chocolate cake and banana bread dessert, the portion is massive. The reason why I'm rating their food at 4 stars, is because my friend ordered the chicken, and we found it bland.
The dining room is lovely. The service was fantastic. The food was disappointing. We ordered the market platter which includes a combination of fresh and roasted veggies, sweet potato chips and hummus and green goddess dips. The uncooked veggies just weren't as crisp and fresh as you'd hoped and the roasted veggies were sad and shrivelled. Our avocado toast was delicious however!
