Came with my friends after the beach. Tried the birthday brookie which was amazing. Will surely visit again ❤️. Also our server Derek was so sweet.
Good food excellent service. Wish they have a bigger variety on menu.
We went for dessert and cocktails the cake and cocktails were of a very high standard but the service was extremely poor
Not impressed by anything we ordered. Service was ok..not worth the hype or the price at all. Would rather eat almost anywhere else. I would skip it.
It was just ok ,no to much options .
Not all of our comments were taken from the reservation.
was very noisy.
There was no big choice for meat lovers.
We were there for dinner and everything that arrived at our table was excellent! The server was attentive and friendly. We even tried the new table side dessert, which was a perfect way to end the meal. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone!! I look forward to my next visit.
We went on a weekday and it was nice and quiet. The food was outstanding!
Service was off. Intermittent. Didn’t anticipate needs. Very drafty. A/C blowing down right on head. Very uncomfortable and chilly. You should offer blankets.
Steak of the day was more well than medium-rare.
Great location and ambience. Coffee was cold. Asked for a second one and it was also cold. Eggs were ok. Pancakes were better.
Came here for dessert after dinner, server was very rude and threw down the bill without saying anything. He later came by and threw the card machine on the table, again without saying anything. Overall very awkward and aggressive behaviour.
Wonderful ambience and great service! Will return for afternoon tea or dinner
Came to honey salt to celebrate a big accomplishment. Had read the cocktail menu online prior and came solely for the purpose of trying their rum punch bowl (rum punch is my fave). Online their cocktail menu only lists one punch bowl, but they had two summer sangrias as well. I asked the waiter for the “one with the rum” and he brought me the white sangria. As he was pouring our glasses I said “oh I’m so sorry - I wanted the rum punch. Sorry if that wasn’t clear”. He poured them back into the jug and went to see if the bartender could take it back. He came back and said that the bartender couldn’t take it back and it would “just get thrown out if we don’t take it”. He asked me to try and sip and if I liked it to keep it and if not he would talk to the manager. Obviously I felt a lot of pressure to agree even though this is not what I wanted at all - I came here to try this rum drink!! I said the sangria was fine and that was that. No offer for discount, nothing.
The food was good. The other servers at the restaurant all looked like they were doing a great job as well. One came and brought us water when our own server forgot to (even though he gave all the other tables around us water). I think my experience is probably an outlier but it was extremely disappointing.
Felt like an off day for Honey Salt. This was my second time dining here, and I have to say I left disappointed. Service in the lounge prior to dinner was exceedingly slow. We weren’t acknowledged quickly, and it took the server almost 15 minutes to take our drinks order. The place wasn’t that busy so I don’t know what the issue was. Service in the dining room was lovely, and the food was great, but the atmosphere was ruined by a family group with a small child that kept shriek-crying. The family did nothing but egg the kid on, and the parents basically ignored the kid for the whole meal. The mom was on her phone most of the time, and my stare of death did nothing to improve the situation. I can’t say I’d be in a rush to dine at Honey Salt again any time soon. There are plenty of other options in Vancouver.
PS I sat next to the guest who posted a review about the mix-up over rum punch vs. sangria. I can confirm that while the server was very nice, he wasn't exactly going out of his way to give the guest what he wanted. I heard the whole song and dance about the bar having to pour out the pitcher. Who cares?! Give the guest what he asked for!
I and my friend liked the food but didn’t like the customer services
Kinda disappointed. The food and atmosphere was ok but service was really slow.
I have been here a few times and I am never overly impressed. It is convenient and has lovely decor however the food is 'ok' but on the higher price tag . Cocktails are great though!
Friendly server but forgetful. There was no follow up when drinks and food didn’t come out. Poorly timed delivery of courses causing us to feel rushed.
The Tofino fry was over cooked, coltish, we had 2 at our table. The goddess dip was not what it should be, no zip to it. I had the pork, probably best thing on the menu.
Food was okay but the dessert was great. The quality and portion size of the cakes was very enjoyable.
The salad was missing the dressing...had to ask for it:(( Great server and she apologized for the mixup?? Beautiful restaurant!
Food was underwhelming, the drinks were weird tasting and the bill was high.
Went for breakfast with friends. Waited several minutes just to get water or have anyone speak to us at all.. Food was good, server was untrained or maybe was her first day/week- nice, but didn’t know details and was easily confused (mixed up orders). Food was great! If you are vegetarian recommend the avo toast, but be sure to add eggs and hollandase! Stuffed French was also a hit. If you eat meat - the bacon and sausages aren’t anything to write home about.. something maybe they could work on for the price of the meals.
Food was good but overpriced for what you get. Great room but they should adjust either their pricing or portions.
It was my friend’s birthday so I decided to invite her there since we’ve been there before and liked it very much.
She ordered the Halibut dish and I had the Iberico pork. Our server was okay. The mule parq cocktails were drown in the ice. Our dishes came, they all looked and tasted delicious. My friend was really enjoying her first 3 bites until she realized that part of the halibut was completely raw. She called our server, he looked at the dish and confirmed it was uncooked, then took the plate unapologetically to the kitchen.
I was starting to feel that’s it was not such a great way to handle this since it was around 7:30pm and not even half the restaurant was full. My friend tried to hide that she was upset, she looked at the manager who was passing by, and he was profusely apologizing. The wait was starting to get long I had stopped eating and waited for my friend’s dish to arrive but she told me not too because my plate would be cold. In the meantime the server brought some bread and butter for the waiting.
Her plate arrived when I was almost done eating my pork.
The manager just brought back the same plate with the first 3 bites eaten and the mussels that had shrunk, but drier so he offered her to pour some more sauce. She refused and he left. We were very puzzled.
I was surprised that for a fine dinning and the wait, they didn’t replace her dish completely especially when it’s fish. Looks like the fish has been ovened or microwaved, which the manager denied. It was really upsetting. The whole halibut dish and mussels was not good anymore. As she tried to finish the dish, only then the manager came back to propose to replace the dish. But the damage was done and she could not eat 2 main courses anyway.
We asked for the check the halibut dish hasn’t even been taking out from the bill. Only after paying the server asked if we wanted a free desert. They never acknowledge her birthday! Botanist, Keg and Cactus all do! What a fiasco! I will never go again!
The food was so good! I had never seen a roasted lemon before and it was AMAZING! Definitely recommending this place for its food, atmosphere, and service. The waiter we had was so friendly and accommodating. I asked if they had lemonade, he said they didn't and then said he would ask if the bar would make it fresh. He came back and gave me a fresh lemonade that was great! What a treat.
Had a great brunch with my friend. Delicious Dungeness crab omelette, fresh OJ and the donuts were amazing. A bit pricey for brunch but worth treating yourself out once in a while. Beautiful restaurant, friendly servers... what more could you ask for?
So disappointed with the overpriced food.
Father’s Day brunch. Slow service but food was tasty. Enjoyed the eggs benny, bagel and lox and turkey meatballs. Their freshly made ceasar was a disappointment.
We were celebrating Fathers Day, the service was excellent. We especially loved the Caesar Cart.
Decided to try you out for Fathers Day! Great space, lots of natural light. Service was lacking no one offered us any drinks had to as a buser for tea and coffee. Kids menu was great and able to accommodate modifications, crispy chicken was delicious however the thin chicken was a little stringy and hard for my daughter to chew so she couldn’t eat much despite liking it too chewy/hard for a 2 year old. My breakfast was not cooked properly however manager kindly took care of it. Sever was no where to be found at all points of our meal. Lots of people walking about but no one catering to the guests.
Beautiful location but disappointing experience.
We went for high tea but been told that this was the first week they open high tea for weekend, and our sets were delay for a hour. Food was good fairly average, but server kind of rush things in and out, I expect more from this place
Beautifully decorated. Excellent service but the food (dinner menu) was not very tasty despite its attractive presentation. I would recommend Honey Salt to all my girlfriends if the food were to improve.
My friend and I decided to treat ourselves to afternoon tea after seeing an ad for same on Facebook at Honey Salt in the Parq Vancouver.
Service was desultory, the sandwiches were dry, possibly made hours earlier (and we were at the first seating at 2:00 PM) and the fillings so sparse as to barely taste. The baked goods were also dry and stale and so sweet as to be almost inedible. The tea came in a bag, 1 tea bag only per person. We had to ask for milk. The crepes, though also overly sweet, were the highlight of the tea. While not in the top tier of pricing for afternoon tea I have enjoyed 100% better food, tea and service for similar prices at other afternoon teas around Vancouver.
Great drinks, very good entrees - the Spanish pork was amazing! The sablefish special was also awesome.
This is my third visit and the food has always been excellent. The service was very slow the last time despite the restaurant not been full
Beautiful location..decor was delightful. Food was good...brunch was reasonably priced. Great place to reconnect with friends. I’d easily come back again.
The atmosphere was decent and the restaurant was cute, but the food was disappointing as was the service. I ordered the French toast which came out burnt to a crisp and was then told by the waitress that the chef wanted me to know it was merely caramelized, not burnt.
Has a great meal at Honey Salt. The room is very nice and the atmosphere is great.
