Honey Salt - Parq Vancouver
Went for high tea. I think the waitress was new as she was uncertain about things and also assumed things well though I'm sure she tried her best. I think I'd go elsewhere for high tea in the future.
A little noisy where we were seated so we asked to be relocated. Better
Food was good, service was really good from our server who took over the table. He was great with Rylan
Dear Guest, Thank you for your review and your patronage at Honey Salt. It's great to hear that your experience was enjoyable and that the service was really good! We would value the opportunity to welcome you back in the near future. Kind Regards, Emily Davis Community Relations
The ambiance is great. Our waiter was polite. I would definitely NOT order the Elizabeth Caesar again 'cos the dressing was way too salty and there was so much dressing that the leaves were drenched and became very soggy. The rest of the food was pretty good, so definitely worth a return trip.
Dear CathyW, Thank you for your review and your patronage at Honey Salt. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed dining with us in our cozy, home décor ambiance. I am sorry to hear that the Elizabeth Caesar was disappointing and that it had too much dressing. We will take your valuable feedback into consideration and share with our team. Thank you again. We hope to welcome you back to Honey Salt and Parq Vancouver soon. Kind Regards, Emily Davis Community Relations
The staff was definitely under the gun as we (along with the rest of the hotel) were grabbing food & beverages prior to the Queen concert at Roger's Arena down the road. Party of 2 with reservations we gave up our table in lieu of sitting at the bar top, best decision ever. The bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable with great recommendations. Kitchen was accommodating when we noted a dairy allergy (I know... I know). Scallops were FANTASTIC & Jim's salmon was beyond great as well. I would highly recommend this spot and plan to dine again the next time we head up north of the border!!!
Dear SamN, Thank you so much for your review and your patronage at Honey Salt. We are thrilled to know that your dining experience was enjoyable! It's great to know that our friendly and knowledgeable team were able to deliver the five-star level of service we so strongly strive to achieve. We look forward to welcoming you back to Honey Salt and Parq Vancouver in the near future! Best Regards, Emily Davis Community Relations
Food is excellent. Service is stupendous and location is perfect for pre concert dinner
Love this restaurant! Round tables for easy conversation with guests, nice atmosphere, lots of space between tables. Nice to see some lighter decor in a downtown restaurant.
Phenomenal food. Good happy hour menu as well.
I have been to Honey Salt many times, but the last time I went the food wasn’t that great. The portions are definitely a lot smaller compared to before and the sable fish I ordered had one piece of bone in it. If I haven’t caught it, I could choke to death. The Tofino fry we usually order decreased by half portion-wise. What made my experience great this time was our server and definitely NOT the food. She was so attentive and provided us great service. She always had a smiley face on. It is unfortunate the food wasn’t great. It will be our last time.
Unfortunately the poor service made us feel as if we paid too much for the delicious food. Our server had no personality, our drinks took 10 minutes to arrive and our server came to take our meal order before even bringing our drinks and offered no apology for the delay. It was difficult to get her attention and we left feeling unhappy. The food was, however, delicious, albeit expensive.
Paul McCartney was playing at BC Place and the I believe that's why the restaurant was packed and so loud. Everyone excited about a great meal and a great concert to come. Our waitress was very friendly but honestly, run off her feet. The food came out pretty quickly and as always, tasted fantastic. In fact, my husband asked the waitress to tell the chef it was the best sablefish he had ever had.
I had the scallops - I always do. Can't get enough of a good thing but this time, I saved room for dessert. It was the carrot cake and I've included a photo of my little piece of heaven!
I make my own cosmo's at home but I have to say, the one at Honey Salt is better and I tweaked my recipe to match theirs. Yum yum!
It's worth trying once for the beautiful decor and pleasant atmosphere. They say that first impressions are everything and it is definitely true here. My husband and I came for Canada Day brunch with decent expectations considering it's a $40 per person kind of venue. As we approached the reception we were neither greeted with warmth nor welcome. In fact, we weren't greeted at all. The lady on the computer did not make eye contact upon our approach. We waited patiently for her to finally looked up, completely expressionless, and unfortunately there was no redeeming interaction with her thereafter. For the rest of the experience, the food was as expected (neither bad nor amazing), and the service at the table was also as expected... Overall I'd still gave the experience a 4/5 because it is what it is - a great instagram experience with decent food and service. Nothing amazing but not bad either. I'd probably go again with the girls for the same purpose.
We had a great time at our high tea at honey salt only down fall was when booking the high tea online it didn’t mention that it starts at 3pm we had booked for 2pm so we had to wait around an hr till it began.
Our experience was wonderful, as always. There was no wait time for our table and the staff was super accommodating. My sister really enjoyed her birthday dessert that night. We will be back for more of the banana cake!
Booked a high tea appt to celebrate the end-of-the-school year for our young daughters and the food was mostly savory and enjoyable in little bits and bites as expected -- both kids and adults stayed surprisingly full for a long time afterwards. The scones and chocolate bouchons were favorites at our table -- and we we kind of regretted not saving more room for the crepes which were delicious, moist, and packed with fillings and toppings. Although refreshing, the "mini"-market veggies didn't seem to match the description and seemed a bit pricey (tbh) vs the normal false creek tier.
The dining area is very nicely decorated and inviting and relaxing -- our server (didn't catch his name but he wore rose-pink glasses) was great with the kids and we want to thank him for that!
Overall a very nice experience for us. We would probably come back if we can to celebrate another special occasion.
Classy casual bar. Just had a bite and drink at the bar on my own but had a great time. Ash and the bartender were really fun. Made me feel like I was out with friends. Had a great salad... tabooli? (Forgive spelling) and they had my favorite wine. I will be back.
very nice setting....service good, waiter a little slow but a nice guy! Food good but maybe a bit more variety? Looking for a nice salad or seafood/chicken options.....had scallops and cauliflower-it was okay but maybe more variety?
Girls night prior to seeing Oprah!
A very busy evening before Oprah's show. Lots of energy in the room, good service and good food.
Food and drinks were great. Service was slow. It seemed the restaurant was under staffed for a Sunday brunch.
I was looking forward to experiencing the tea service and made a reservation online for 11:15am from the tea menu webpage. Turns out the tea service doesn't start until 3pm. This is not obvious when making a reservation and we were disappointed.
We stayed for brunch and the food was mediocre. The rolling cesar bar looked good, but it never made it to our table during our time at the restaurant.
The ambiance was incredible the food was pretty disappointing and the service was just alright.
Food was salty - all of it!! Nice place and nice service tho...
Brought my boyfriend here for the first time. He really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere.
It was good. Everyone was nice but I found the options just a little boring. And not many plant based options
I did have the crab omelette. Which was delicious. But I wasn’t really inspired by anything else on the menu
We were in town for two nights and made a reservation here because websight looked very appealing. Drove 20 minutes from hotel and were seated in outdoor section. Sat there for well over 10 minutes, servers walked by us, no eye contact, no one approached our table. Servers would take a look at outside section, then turn around and go back inside! Nothing!!!!!! Table next to us was approached by a server and chatted with them for 5-6 minutes.
I’ve never been treated so poorly and disrespectfully at a restaurant EVER!!!! Ended up at Joeys Downtown and had a fabulous experience.
Don’t waste your time at Honey and Salt.
HAPPY HOUR IS OUTSTANDING AND THE FLAVOR AND THE PROFILE DELICIOUS!
The food we had was very good. The avocado toast was very bland. Missing some flavours. A little noisy for me But I thought the decor was as great. Key lime pie was amazing!
Loved it. My daughter recommended to me and I took out of town friends before the show at Rogers arena.
Maybe a little slow in the kitchen and servers less than attentive, other than that all good. We were in a bit of a hurry to go to see Andrea Bocelli so not all their fault.
A great patio to sit on convenient to Rogers arena. Decent service, good food, pretty outdoor setting.
Food was very good. Service was great. Good atmosphere & vibe. Very clean. Portions are on the small size.
Wonderful spot but maybe a few more choices for breakfast would have been nice! Otherwise Eggs Benedict were fabulous.
My husband and I went for my birthday brunch at Honey Salt. Everything was perfect! The food, the staff (met Jon Snow from Vancouver theatre working here, which was a plus), the ambiance was amazing. We will definitely be back in the future.
My friend and myself go here often for a brunch/lunch and have never been disappointed with the food or service. Very good presentation and friendly staff. The Avocado Toast is very delish and everything else we have tried over the past year has been great.
Amazing food! Wonderful service in a beautifully designed space.
This is one of the few times I have been compelled to write a negative review - I typically only write when the service/experience was above and beyond or when I have been very disappointed. I had dinner at Honey Salt last Saturday around 8pm. I have been to the restaurant before and enjoyed the food and appreciated the service - this time around the service was so poor I will likely not return and would not recommend the restaurant to others. As an avid traveler for work and pleasure, a certain level of service is expected at a hotel/entertainment center like Parq and I experienced nothing of sort. The server yawned while taking my order - was very unenthusiastic, almost annoyed given we were one of the few tables of two. The incorrect wine was brought to the table - when he was corrected - there was no apology and out appies appeared before our drinks did. The server did not come over to ask how the food was and barely refilled our water. He did not ask how the main course was and didn't ask whether I wanted more wine. He avoided our table and I had to flag down other staff to clear our table and give us our bill. I would have been more lenient if it had not been so highly regarded. Often the service experience will determine repeat business ... my guest and I decided that the trouble wasn't worth it and did not order dessert or more drinks. Sure this loss of business will hardly have an impact on the bottom line but did force me to write a review. The manager did come to the table to try to remedy the situation and offered 20% off our bill - for me, although the gesture was appreciated, it was more about voicing my frustration - Saturday nights are often a chance to unwind after a stressful work week ... this one left a sour taste for this particular establishment.
Great food and great service! We love it!
This was our first time at Honey Salt the service was fabulous, the food was very tasty and unique portion sizes are perfect and the atmosphere is beautiful. I can’t wait until I can go again and I also can’t wait to take more family and friends to experience Honey Salt
Pre-concert dinner. Bright space, nicely designed but low back chair uncomfortable - couldn’t lean back and relax. Food was tasty. Server was a bit quirky and not overly attentive. Always felt like he was rushed. I will give it another try. Curious about the afternoon tea.
Everything was good. Nothing was WOW. Beverage service VERY slow.
