Honey Salt - Parq Vancouver
VERY QUIET. Our server complained about it being so quiet. I love this restaurant but have never seen it so quiet. I asked about the crepe missing from the afternoon tea menu and he said they couldn’t afford to keep someone on staff to make 2 crepes a day! The food was really great and the drinks, wonderful. Hopefully things pick up and the staff are a little happier.
Casual relaxed atmosphere. Fun fusion menu with something for everyone. Carrot emoji dessert was delicious as well as hilarious.
I love the ambiance of this place - farm house chic, and very comfortable. The food was really good! I had the salmon and we split the Brookie for dessert - both were delicious! The service was awesome! I would definitely return and recommend the restaurant to others as well.
We came in for high tea and when we got there were told the menu changed and there would be no crepes....that was one of the main reasons who chose HoneySalt! Very disappointing. The sandwiches and scones were great, but the desserts were not impressive at all
Food was okay and service was horrible.
We celebrated our anniversary- a special fun evening
Would definitely go back - the striploin steak was to die for ❤️
Small portions for the price. Edamame smash accompanying the sable fish was unpleasant and hoisin glaze too salty; Rose sangria was diluted. Overall the food quality doesn’t match the price point.
The service was ok, the server assigned to our table was ok, not as friendly.
Such a cute restaurant! We went here for brunch and it was AMAZING food and the service was great. Definitely recommend!
Unfortunately items listed as gluten free are not gluten free, which is concerning as someone with a gluten allergy. I ordered a poke bowl as it was indicated on the menu as gluten free as did my friend who is celiac. She had indicated to the server that she was celiac and when our bowls were served she had a different dressing as the server let us know that the recipe has gluten in it. This is a serious concern for anyone with allergies going off the indicators listed on the menu.
Restaurant was very accomadating with seating and menu options. Enjoyed afternoon tea and cocktails. Great environment and ambience. Friendly staff and prompt service.
I love the brunch but dinner menu is not my fave. Seduce and ambien is great !
Service wasn’t super attentive but the food was great and the atmosphere is so light and fresh!
Lovely restaurant , noisy on the patio , but we chose it .
Food was just ok .
The place is great, but unfortunately we had a bad experience with the waitress. We finished our meal and the lady ask us if everything was okay and then take the plates away, until then, great! But right after she came back with the bill on her hands, gave it to me and say thanks. I mean, I was about to ask for the dessert menu and order more coffee, but she just broke the moment.
Personal at the restaurant needs to be more aware of customer service and hospitality in order to deliver a better experience to the customers. Sadly this is the 2nd time I go there and is the 2nd time this situation happen to me :-/ not cool!
I love the ambiance. I absolutely love the new patio ...it's big, spacious, and very comfortable. I do wish the new Chef hadn't changed things on the menu. I haven't enjoyed the food much in the last bit compared to when it opened. The food was much better the first year. We live next door so we go all the time, especially with large groups. Great place to go with an infant. Plenty of space for pram at tables or on patio.
Food was nice , service was attentive . But the booths were very dirty. Asked to switch, but none of the the booth was clean. Crumbs everywhere on the seats
We sat at patio. A bit noisy with the car traffic, but was still pleasant to be outside.
It’s one of our favourites. Food, ambiance and service are always superb! (Well, except for the receptionist who immediately told us that food will only be available at 5pm and we can’t order yet, we came at 4:30, and just told us to just wherever we want.)
Honey Salt is consistently excellent---great food, service and decor.
Great family meals with appies.
Fun night out
I found the food not worth the price. It did not look nice even. I had the pork and my friends had the scallops both dishes looked like we made it at home and not great . Maybe it is a brunch place. I would not recommend it for dinner.
Was a great experience and super kid friendly! The service, atmosphere and food were all amazing! I went for birthday dinner and wish the restaurant wound have recognized the birthday with a small dessert as most restaurants do. (I had indicated it was a bday dinner upon reso)
We were there relatively early for dinner. The place was not more than 1/4 full.
Overall, the restaurant was fine. The food was good. However, the service was poor. At our table we ordered a bottle of wine and one person ordered a cocktail. The waitress walked away looking confused. She came back a few moments later to ask which wine we had asked for. The wine came to the table a short while later. The cocktail never came.
The server was uninterested and inattentive for the rest of the meal.
Afternoon tea was delicious. Will definitely come again
Great food and drinks, I really enjoyed my visit to Honey & Salt last Sunday. Thinks to improve was to hostess didn't put attention when I told that I have a reservation, they just gave me a table and couple hours later OpenTable sent an email to me as "no show" reservation status, that was uncomfortable, right away I sent clarification about it. So, personal at the restaurant should listen better to the customers to avoid situation like this one.
Overall, I totally recommend Honey & Salt for brunch :-)
Very nice - open space.
Went for high tea. I think the waitress was new as she was uncertain about things and also assumed things well though I'm sure she tried her best. I think I'd go elsewhere for high tea in the future.
Great place for brunch!!
Delicious food and great staff.😉
A little noisy where we were seated so we asked to be relocated. Better
Food was good, service was really good from our server who took over the table. He was great with Rylan
Dear Guest, Thank you for your review and your patronage at Honey Salt. It's great to hear that your experience was enjoyable and that the service was really good! We would value the opportunity to welcome you back in the near future. Kind Regards, Emily Davis Community Relations
The ambiance is great. Our waiter was polite. I would definitely NOT order the Elizabeth Caesar again 'cos the dressing was way too salty and there was so much dressing that the leaves were drenched and became very soggy. The rest of the food was pretty good, so definitely worth a return trip.
Dear CathyW, Thank you for your review and your patronage at Honey Salt. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed dining with us in our cozy, home décor ambiance. I am sorry to hear that the Elizabeth Caesar was disappointing and that it had too much dressing. We will take your valuable feedback into consideration and share with our team. Thank you again. We hope to welcome you back to Honey Salt and Parq Vancouver soon. Kind Regards, Emily Davis Community Relations
The staff was definitely under the gun as we (along with the rest of the hotel) were grabbing food & beverages prior to the Queen concert at Roger's Arena down the road. Party of 2 with reservations we gave up our table in lieu of sitting at the bar top, best decision ever. The bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable with great recommendations. Kitchen was accommodating when we noted a dairy allergy (I know... I know). Scallops were FANTASTIC & Jim's salmon was beyond great as well. I would highly recommend this spot and plan to dine again the next time we head up north of the border!!!
Dear SamN, Thank you so much for your review and your patronage at Honey Salt. We are thrilled to know that your dining experience was enjoyable! It's great to know that our friendly and knowledgeable team were able to deliver the five-star level of service we so strongly strive to achieve. We look forward to welcoming you back to Honey Salt and Parq Vancouver in the near future! Best Regards, Emily Davis Community Relations
Food is excellent. Service is stupendous and location is perfect for pre concert dinner
Love this restaurant! Round tables for easy conversation with guests, nice atmosphere, lots of space between tables. Nice to see some lighter decor in a downtown restaurant.
Phenomenal food. Good happy hour menu as well.
I have been to Honey Salt many times, but the last time I went the food wasn’t that great. The portions are definitely a lot smaller compared to before and the sable fish I ordered had one piece of bone in it. If I haven’t caught it, I could choke to death. The Tofino fry we usually order decreased by half portion-wise. What made my experience great this time was our server and definitely NOT the food. She was so attentive and provided us great service. She always had a smiley face on. It is unfortunate the food wasn’t great. It will be our last time.
Unfortunately the poor service made us feel as if we paid too much for the delicious food. Our server had no personality, our drinks took 10 minutes to arrive and our server came to take our meal order before even bringing our drinks and offered no apology for the delay. It was difficult to get her attention and we left feeling unhappy. The food was, however, delicious, albeit expensive.
Paul McCartney was playing at BC Place and the I believe that's why the restaurant was packed and so loud. Everyone excited about a great meal and a great concert to come. Our waitress was very friendly but honestly, run off her feet. The food came out pretty quickly and as always, tasted fantastic. In fact, my husband asked the waitress to tell the chef it was the best sablefish he had ever had.
I had the scallops - I always do. Can't get enough of a good thing but this time, I saved room for dessert. It was the carrot cake and I've included a photo of my little piece of heaven!
I make my own cosmo's at home but I have to say, the one at Honey Salt is better and I tweaked my recipe to match theirs. Yum yum!
It's worth trying once for the beautiful decor and pleasant atmosphere. They say that first impressions are everything and it is definitely true here. My husband and I came for Canada Day brunch with decent expectations considering it's a $40 per person kind of venue. As we approached the reception we were neither greeted with warmth nor welcome. In fact, we weren't greeted at all. The lady on the computer did not make eye contact upon our approach. We waited patiently for her to finally looked up, completely expressionless, and unfortunately there was no redeeming interaction with her thereafter. For the rest of the experience, the food was as expected (neither bad nor amazing), and the service at the table was also as expected... Overall I'd still gave the experience a 4/5 because it is what it is - a great instagram experience with decent food and service. Nothing amazing but not bad either. I'd probably go again with the girls for the same purpose.
