About this restaurant

  • Neighborhood gem
  • Innovative
  • Great for craft beers
With its fanciful, eye-catching dcor, Honey serves a wide variety of cuisine options and presents them family style, so guests at each table can share in the flavors. Outdoor seating is illuminated by string lights and is cozy thanks to all the greenery and trees. Inside, several booths can be semi-private with sheer curtains. Honey changes its menu frequently so that only fresh, in-season ingredients are used. Popular favorites on some of the sample menus include the wild mushroom quesadilla, fried oysters, duck samosas, black tea-glazed spare ribs and salmon tacos. Vegetarians are also catered to with platters like the red salad, mixed olive plate, kale salad and risotto cakes. For dessert, indulge in one of Honeys sweet selections, like the maple cheesecake or chocolate meltdown.

As a local Buckingham/Doylestown resident - I have been a frequent patron of Honeys over the years. Needless to say I have always enjoyed the food (not as spectacular as other reviews are stating), however, it is consistently good. Unfortunately - just this last week - I had a recent reservation mix up that made it clear I will not be returning. Quick summary to simplify the situation - I called to make a reservation - I thought the reservation had been made, however, when we arrived nothing was in the books. We let it go that night, however, I called back the next day to provide some helpful feedback - I reached the owner (which I thought would be beneficial) but I was met with attitude and the conversation was unsatisfactory. This was not a pleasant engagement and it was only made worse - when the owner called back later in the day after looking into the situation and left a nasty voice message on my home phone - that was down right rude! For Honeys owner & staff, I would recommend going forward that no matter who you all believe is at fault - that you work with a customer to figure out what improves a situation instead of putting effort into diminishing a customer's concerns. Also recommend adding an online booking tool since staff obviously can't handle booking reservations during core hours. On top of everything else - anyone who still goes to Honeys make sure you check your bill as this one included double charges for a plate.

My wife and I had a great meal here last week for our anniversary. Everything on the menu looked fantastic and unique so we went with a couple plates that our server, Jason, recommended. That was the right decision, Jason's suggestions were spot on! Not only was every plate delicious, the timing and order at which they arrived at our table was prefect, and each one complemented the others. The chef even sent out a couple complimentary samples of plates we had not ordered because they knew it was out anniversary. Top to bottom - the food, ambiance, staff, ownership, creativity, etc was all on point. I've been in the bar/restaurant business for the majority of my working career so I tend to notice the small things. Honey certainly focuses on the important small things and in turn our whole experience was phenomenal.

Food was delicious - came in tapas portions so you can easily rack up the dinner tab. Drinks were amazing. Ambience is great !
