Home Restaurant - Los Feliz Ratings and Reviews
It was a great time. They made a mistake on one of our orders, but immediately took care of it. Plus, they offered to not charge us on the item and gave us a discount on the bill, which they didn't have to do. They have a great staff here and they really want to take care of you.
It was a last minute decision to dine out on Valentine’s Day but I didn’t have trouble making a reservation after work. This place seems to get busier after 7pm. The food was delicious and they had a special Valentine’s Day dinner however we opted for the regular menu with the wings from the Happy Hour Menu which is Weekdays, 3-7pm.
Food, ambiance, and our waitress were all great. The Hostess was a bit of a nightmare, though - she definitely needs to work on her customer service - and the restaurant needs to pay more attention to who has reservations so that they can accommodate in a timely, professional manner.
We were seated in the open patio, the seats were comfortable and although the seating area was full we felt we had our own space. The service was spectacular, from the valet, to hostess, waiter, and the gentleman checking to ensure we were having a delightful experience. Our awesome waiter was very familiar with the dishes and from experience he shared what was popular.
The Bloody Mary is a must, it was as good as those I’ve had at a 5-Star steakhouse. Highly recommend. Our salmon salad was perfectly prepared, of course I recommend blackened. Finally, we shared the crispy french toast, ala mode! We were hesitant but thought why not try something new. A delicious surprise! Freshly prepared and served warm with refreshing vanilla ice cream.
A wonderful afternoon lunch with my friend!
We enjoyed Home, and the setting is fantastic, although, despite receiving a reservation confirmation from Open Table and Home, when we arrived, there was no reservation. We had to wait just about 10 minutes past our reservation time to get seated but there was no explanation why the host had no record of our reservation. I use open table all the time and this was the first time this happened.
Had a reservation for 10 people at 2pm and was greeted by the hostess and told "Well, I don't know how that's going to work because we don't even sit that many... I can maybe get you seated in 45 minutes." The reservation was made 2 weeks in advance. The hostess then tried to put me and my family in the back of the restaurant, next to the kitchen, where there was two bus boys eating their lunch. We asked to speak to a manager and had to wait 10mins - just for the manager to get an attitude with us. The server was great but hostess and management sucks. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. Stay home and cook your own food.
We rarely come to Los Felix (we live in Pacific Palisades) and don’t know the restaurants there. So we just happened into Home w/o expectations and were very happy with all aspects of the experience. Food was very good and the patio dining was very relaxed, I pressured, agreeable. Same adjectives apply to the service and physical setting. The baron the patio reminded me somehow of being in Hawaii. We’ll be back!
It was a really lovely place with fabulous food.
It was a busy day but it didn’t feel crowded each table had enough space and comfort for conversation without being too loud. Sitting under one of the music speakers made conversation a little more difficult apart for that I️ love this place and will certainly be returning.
Had dinner here on the way to the Greek. Party of six with reservations. Promptly sat. This place is mostly outside and the decor is eccentric and electric. Food was just awesome! I had beef filet and it was tasty and tender. Everyone liked their food. Seriously, try the French toast dessert thing. Only one of us ordered it but everyone wished they had after one bite. Service was quick and attentive. Wished we lived closer.
I had been dying to try this restaurant for a long time. I didn't know they had another location in Los Feliz, which worked out perfectly. I had the short rib sandwich which was delicious. My friend and I shared the french toast which was also very good. I will go back and try their brunch.
A really lovely spot. I love fine dining and my boyfriend is way more on the casual side. This place offered us both things we love. I got great ambience and delicious food, but he didn't feel it was stuffy and could comfortably order food he knew how to pronounce. Perfect for a date or party with friends. Love the environment.
Besides the little fruits falling from the tree (while sitting out on the patio during dinner in September), the restaurant was perfect for 2 friends catching up and talking about life. The food was flavorful and tasted great. I would absolutely come back again... maybe this time, I'll bring a few more friends and partake in the bar.
I checked reviews on Yelp before I went there. My friend and I ordered Egg and Steak also Kale Salad with Salmon. The Salad tasted good and fresh, but for their beef and salmon, they were hard to chew and dried. Their toast was dry too, kind of disappointed. I like the environment there especially for their seats outside, you feel cozy and relax. But the problem is there are flies flying around the table, kind of annoying.
