Nothing really special about the food menu and items we had, the breakfast quesadilla and taco salad. Service was really poor at best. We were seated in the annex area, inside part of the coffee bar and not the restaurant and the room had one waiter and then the waitress we had. She had only two tables in the room. Took forever to get service, ran out of water, no one ever came by to check in how food was or refill the bottle. We asked for check and when she brought the check, she finally brought a refill bottle. Probably the second worse service I have ever had, and for food that was just ok. Not worth going back, nor would I recommend it considering the other options in the area. Place also did not make down my open table reservation as me having showed up, so had to corr ct that as well. Bed service overall and failed multiple areas.
Excellent home food, would go again
I was there for a business meeting January 30th 2019. The service was slow. There was constant banging due to the office being renovated upstairs. The food was not as good as usual and it took too long to get the food:(
Great service, quiet, & away from the hustle & bustle...perfect.
Good food, fun area, decent price. Would recommend.
This is the second time I've been to this restaurant. I was there last night and made a reservation via Open Table. I arrived early and the host knew who I was when I told her I made a reservation. I ordered the Lemon Chicken Piccata and finished every last drop. It was the best chicken piccata I've had in years. The mashed potatoes it was on were so fluffy. Our server Luciana was so friendly. I never had to ask for a refill, she was so nice, friendly, and welcoming. Their prices are very reasonable for this type of food and especially the theming. I'll be back soon, keep up the amazing work.
Love this restaurant!
I have been wanting to try this restaurant for quite a while. It did not disappoint. I had friends in town, for my birthday, from the San Francisco Bay area. They are just as picky about food as I am. We were very pleased with the service the ambience and especially the food. I can’t wait to go back there again and potential he make it one of my regular spots. The only note I will make is that they have many versions of outdated menus on different social media. If you see something you want in particular, on a menu, call them to confirm they have it first. Apparently they are trying to get this remedied but the menu we looked at on OpenTable was discontinued over two years ago. However, there are many delicious options and our biggest problem was trying to decide what to pack not lack of options. I would absolutely recommend this to locals. It’s a really fun place to take out of town guests as well.
It took a little longer than expected for our drinks and food to come out, but our server let us know that the kitchen was a little slow and otherwise the service was great. The food was delicious as always. Overall a good experience!
$5 drinks on the happy hour menu were great! We were a group of 8 and were originally sat st two separate tables with some of our backs to one another. Another staff member came and rearranged to tables to put them together. Not sure why the other person said we couldn’t do that originally. It had rained earlier in the evening and the trees above were somewhat drippy. The heaters worked great at keeping us warm. The food was okay. Not super flavorful but reasonably priced. I had the chicken lemon piccata and it wasn’t very lemon-y. Sister had the pot pie and said the crust was good but the pie filling was somewhat dry. Someone else in our group enjoyed a burger. Just an okay experience this time but I’ll come back and try again.
First time and the family and I loved it good food great service over all had a great time
No complaints! Ambiance, food, location, sitting area was great.
Great for brunch , drinks were worthy
Love this gem!
Food was great. But chairs were not presentable: so many stains and out dated Vallet parking was expensive
We are regulars at Home Los Feliz. Most of the time the service is great, this past time our waiter was a bit slow to react to our needs. The main frustration was her leaving her shift without telling us. This made it difficult to get our check and box to close our tab. Overall, we love home and will definitely be back. Could’ve just been an off day.
First timer. Met with a group of friends for brunch. Waiter was really nice and funny. Great drinks and the food delicious. I would definitely come back and I have recommended this place to a couple of friends already.
Wow! Loved this place so much. Beautiful outdoor setting with patio heaters and twinkly lights. The food was DELICIOUS! Wait staff were great and attentive and fast service. Would def come back again
We thoroughly enjoyed the experience, everyone enjoyed their meals. We look forward to returning.
Anything in the menu can be substituted for vegetarian which was awesome. It's so pretty under the trees outside it's such a great ambiance!
Excellent as always. We availed ourselves if the Happy Hour menu for both food & drink. Great tacos!
Ask to sit outside. I am glad we did. Food and drinks were great. Service was good too.
Salmon in the salad badly needed seasoning but it was cooked correctly.
Went there for Thanksgiving and made a reservation days prior only to find out that they didn’t have enough tables for the RESERVED customers. Ended up sitting around for an hour waiting for a table then when they finally sat us down they told us that they were all out of the meal that we had specifically made a reservation for. Then they said we would get the soup and the pie for free just pick out an entre. So we get an entre and then they told us hoping we would just forget, that they were pretty much like NO SOUP FOR YOU they were all out of that too. We get out thrown together entre and then at the end to top it all off they try to give us the TINIESTsliver of the pie, the only thing we originally came there for, when everyone else’s slice looked massive. Then I got a hot chocolate that tasted like water mixed with a tiny amount of coco powder.
We made a reservation specifically for the special Thanksgiving menu and they stalled until we had waited 40 minutes past our reserved time and were seated to let us know they were out of the main items on the Thanksgiving menu...the only reason we were there in the first place. On top of that, the manager wasn't conveying this information himself but rather having the hostess deliver the news and handle what he surely knew would be heavy dissatisfaction - which was very unfair to her. The big concession offered was that they would still give us the soup and pie from the Thanksgiving menu, but then came back later to say never mind on the soup because they then ran out of that as well. Setting aside that any established restaurant should know how to properly manage food counts for a special menu and the fact that they could have told us they were out while we waited (so that we would have time to decide whether to go somewhere else) rather than waiting until we were seated, the way all of this was handled and their offered concession was far short of what I view as reasonable given that they knew full well the special menu was the only reason people were there. As residents of the neighborhood, we eat at Home fairly often but this experience left a very bad taste in our mouths - not just because they ran out of the menu items but because of how poorly it was handled in all respects. They definitely failed to convey any sense of appreciation for those who chose Home as the location for this special holiday meal. This was all avoidable and very disappointing, and we are far less likely to choose Home for special or regular meals in the future after this experience. The hostess and our server were great regardless of all of this so kudos to them for handling such a challenging situation so well despite the manager's clear lack of interest in stepping up and getting in front of the situation.
Was there for thanksgiving dinner and they ran out of turkey before some of us were served. They did comp the soup and dessert. Also, all of the staff were very nice and somehow made the dinner disappointment okay. Food was very good and the coffee was excellent. The room that I was seated in was very small and seemed like an after thought. No ambiance there. I do look forward to trying it again, on a less hectic night.
Made reservations about 2-3 weeks before thanksgiving , for thanksgiving dinner as advertised online. Waited for almost an hour even after our reservations. Super busy , over booked people ? When I walked up one of the waiters was talking the hostess with this attitude/tone for those of us waiting “it is what it is they have to wait , this is all I can do”... which was really frustrating since we had been waiting so long. We ended up getting seated in the coffee house next door ... NOT the Resturant we made reservations for. Upon sitting down and about to order our THANKSGIVING mean the menu price was more expensive then showing online... then the waiter ended up telling our party that they ran out of the THANKSGIVING meal. Myself and my family were really disappointed because the actual restaurant looked so beautiful and we heard great reviews. I kind of felt like there was no point in making reservations. Our server was sweet and tried her best. We had family who came from out of state and I bragged about this Resturant for our thanksgiving day meal ... our first year eating out and we were all bummed out. I would give this Resturant another shot because it looked really cool but I really don’t feel like we ate their. Definitely NOT for any type of holiday. Really bummed out but the food we did eat was pretty good.
Great Thanksgiving Lynch with the family and the service was great. As busy as it was we didn’t feel rushed and the staff was very attentive!
Great Thanksgiving food.
Everything was delicious.
The turkey the mash potatoes, the stuffing.
Fast and friendly service, they staff is constantly checking to see if you need anything.
Prices are reasonable.
Good experience overall.
First time here for Thanksgiving...It was great!! Food was good, service no complaints, would definitely return... :)
Loved my experience here! The staff was pretty friendly. Food was amazing, literally cleaned my whole plate. The prices were okay. The ambiance was great, very casual and mellow with good indie/pop music playing. Food came out in good time. Street parking was easy to find on a Sunday afternoon. Valet for $5. Great overall!!
Love it there
Good and nice
We had dinner here on Sat pm. Lovely courtyard, very good food and friendly servers. Lit by lanterns at night, the atmosphere is magical. But that ambiance is blown by the music-- loud, iffy playlist. (Turn it down a notch!) Interested in returning during daylight to see the difference. We'll be back!
Great recommendation for a date.
Location is very very noisy lots of traffic and fire engines and ambulances rushing by. Food is average. Mashed potatoes were COLD. Brushetta was soggy. Wait staff was hit and miss. Its a good place to try ONCE with your kids if you happen to be around this area. Brownie Bites were great!
Beautiful patio, terrific waiter (dressed as a cowboy for Halloween), the hostess worked to get a table just right for our business lunch. Everyone enjoyed their food - except the fish tacos which were too sweet.
Many flies around table. I had to keep my plate safe from them
Love Home in Los Feliz and Silverlake/Glendale. One of our favorite places. My daughter wanted to celebrate her 17th birthday at the one in Los Feliz, some of her friends were there for the first time and loved it! The food and service excellent! Had a great time. Thank you.
