This is the 3rd time I have been here but first time for dinner. I can say, for the prices, I expected not to be hungry but I was when I left. I got the duck which was great but it wasn't enough. When I drop $30 for a plate, I expect to have more. That's all. Besides that, it was great. I'll stick to brunch there next time, more food for the money.
My first time here and was delightfully surprised, Excellent service and the food was delicious.
Liz the bar tender was amazing. The food was spot on.
The food with the exception of the desert was excellent. Service was quite good.
We went to Home 231 for New Years Eve brunch. The cocktails were fabulous. I had a Cranberry Orange Margarita and my husband went for the Maple Brown Sugar Manhattan which is garnished with a generous piece of candied bacon. Both were excellent.
I had the quiche of the day - very good, served in a small iron skillet with puffy pastry, husband had the shrimp and grits - EXCELLENT! We decided to end the meal with coffee and their home made donuts with three dipping sauces. We will definitely be back for lunch and dinner in the future. Don't miss this true neighborhood gem!
Great brunch....as usual. One of our favorite go-to places on the weekend. The crab Eggs Benedict are exceptional. And don’t miss the donuts (even if you usually don’t like donuts).
Trevor, our server, was awesome!! Home 231 is one of our favorite restaurants for Sunday brunch and we love the local, neighborhood ambiance. The donuts are always a hit with my daughter.
Favorite Sunday brunch. This specific visit was for our New Year’s Eve brunch. The FIGGY SMALLS was absolutely delicious. I had the Eggs Benedict with crabcake....best crabcake! Our server, Alex, was outstanding. Very friendly and knowledgeable.
Loved the atmosphere and the food was great! We will definitely be back!
We’ve never been disappointed by Home. Christmas Eve brunch had a nice menu selection including some all time favorites. The Eggs Benedict and Fried Oyster Omelette we’re both delicious. Nice size portions and side dishes. Good ambience and service.
I live out of town and was visiting family for the holidays. This is the second time my fiancé and I have been here. Without a doubt, one best experience I’ve had dining! The food was absolutely amazing, the service gave you a feeling of genuine hospitality and warmth, and it’s not crazy pricey! Highly recommend coming here
Were early for reservation. Had drink while waiting. Very personal bartender. Had an incredible brunch followed by delicious cappuccino. Servers were attentive. Have been here before for dinner and lunch. Definitely will return for Sunday brunch.
Delicious food and excellent service. Got a little noisy but no matter. Food and drink were worth it!
Wonderful setting, service, food, and presentation
So glad we discovered this restaurant for dinner and will certainly return in 2018
Driving home from a business meeting in Phila and was able to stop in at this exceptional food spot in Harrisburg. Wish there was something on this place's level in my current home ( State College), but alas nothing comes close so the 100 mile drive is worth the effort to dine in this restaurant
A really special neighborhood restaurant that has to be tried to be fully appreciated. Five family members enjoyed a wonderful, eclectic Sunday brunch at Home 231 yesterday. Everyone ordered something different and the unusual and creative menu choices were both attractive and appetizing. This restaurant is a fantastic find on a side street near the heart of downtown Harrisburg and the Capitol Building. Service was friendly and attentive as well. All in all, a great experience!
A quaint location and setting with a creative menu. It is a small restaurant, so be prepared to sit on top of another table. The food is good but overpriced for what you get.
The chef took time to explain his approach to one of the dishes. Food exceeded our expectations. Service was great.
We went there for our office Christmas party, food was delicious and great service!
Service and atmosphere were great! The food was good. I think a little overpriced for portion but not too bad. Will definitely return. The restaurant is noisy but if you don’t mind a lively place you will enjoy it!
Made a reservation through OpenTable and was welcomed by the wait staff. The food was excellent as was the service. A little pricey but seems to be worth it.
Great food. Great service. This was a great evening out for our entire team.
We had our first date here at Home 231. Made a reservation a week in advance, upon arrival we were seated in under 5 minutes. The atmosphere was relaxing and exactly what i was looking for, for a fancy night out. Our server was pleasant and attentive, the food was phenomenal, the drinks were tasty. Well worth the price, and i will definitely be returning. Id also like to try the brunch menu.
Food is fabulous! Wonderful staff, very attentive and friendly.
Thanks for a fantastic evening!
Fantastic as always.
I should not give a good review but it is impossible not to. Fantastic place, just save me a seat!
Took friends for brunch. Great meal. Had Southern Fried Chicken. Ordered side of the house sausage-which had great flavor but a little dry in the middle. Our guests enjoyed their French toast and pumpkin pancake selections. Very polite and friendly server although a slower pace than I would have preferred. Two hours from start to finish.
This was an amazing experience! The food was awesome and locally sourced. Traditional foods with a slight twist to make it unique! Our waiter was amazing; very knowledgeable and attentive without being intrusive. We look forward to many more visits to this awesome restaurant!
Excellent food and even better service. Tom was always there for any of our needs helping make our meal even that more special... Thanks Tom!
Favorite place to eat....great service, great food, great atmosphere, great great drink selections
Always a great meal.
As always, Home 231 was excellent- my favorite restaurant in the Harrisburg area! Would recommend highly to anyone.
Had a celebration lunch with coworkers. Everyone was satisfied. I had a great greek salad with a wonderful crab cake. The soup of the day - a cream of cauliflower was terrific. Coffee was also worthwhile. Wish we had room for dessert. Would go back to try the rest of the menu. Competent and friendly service.
We are new to the area, and we came across Home 231 on this app. We were delightfully surprised. From the amazing cocktails, to the perfectly composed entrees, and finishing with delicious ice cream we were WOWed. We will be back and we are looking forward to trying brunch. Our server Mike made the experience all the more wonderful, and he managed to keep the timing of our courses even after the restaurant filled up. Food was to die for, and I can’t wait to go back.
Marcus and I️ had a great time!
Everything was delicious. The sweet potato and goat cheese bruschetta was inspired. A tad on the pricey side...an appetizer, two entrees, two deserts, and tap water was about $100. But overall great place!
Jocelyn our waitress was terrible
We went for our 1 year wedding anniversary and couldn’t have had a better time! From the quiet window table, to the thoughtful card, to the amazing food, my husband and I️ had a wonderful time!
Absolutely delicious brunch with a grapefruit mimosa and huevos rancheros- husband had eggs Benedict with fried tomato - enjoyed ourselves immensely and will definitely be back!
LOVE IT HERE! Everything about it is great!
