Online reservations at Holy Taco can only be made directly on their website.
Excellent food .. busy but waiters worked together to provide good service.
Had a great meal and a great time with friends. Will definitely return. Getting a reservation ahead of time is definitely recommended.
Loved everything. The music was perfect, waitress was great, we were very pleased.
Seated promptly. Delicious food and easy place for conversation!
Great food and drink. Fabulous waitress. It was very busy, but that did not affect either the service nor the quality of the food. Yummy
Wasn't sure I would like it, since I already liked Zeppo's & didn't think they needed to change it up, but I was very pleasantly surprised. We were seated at a nice big booth in the bar with a window view for people watching. Same lively local crowd but with Mexican fare instead of Italian. The tacos were delicious, as were the Margarita's! (the beans could have used more bacon) Wait staff was very friendly & the new decor was lovely. Everyone in our party of 4 were happy with their food & drinks & would return again.
Great service. Good drinks. Tastie food. Excellent evening out!
Great staff, great food, great service.
Good. Experience. Very noisy.
First experience was on Dec. 26 and really enjoyed it. My spouse and I took our baby and toddler, which can always go any direction. However we were given a great seat that worked well for the kids.
The atmosphere was excellent. We really liked the cozy booths with curtains and the general ambiance of the place. The food was very good - I had a great chicken taco salad and spouse had the 3-taco item.
The waitress was very nice and accommodating, although service was slow at the outset. She appeared to be busy. Towards the end our toddler dropped and broke a glass and the server was immediately helpful and gracious, which we really appreciated.
We hope to come back kid-free next time to better enjoy the food and some adult beverages. Good work Holy Taco!
Great food! Love the salsa! My son said that it was "the best food ever."
Really good food and a great happy hour!
Been there three times before and food was great. But last night (Saturday) it was busy and the food did not rise to the level of our previous outings. The mole rojo and mole verde enchiladas were dry, lacking in any spicy tastiness, and basically bland. The chili relleno, which a couple weeks ago had been fabulous, was this time, also bland and nondescript. My wife had the adobo steak bowl and the steak was tough and the entire dish was lacking in taste and spice.
Not sure if there's a new chef, it was too busy, someone forgot to spice up the recipes, or what. But the evening had been highly anticipated because of previous good luck, but turned out to be a gastronomical bust. I hope it was an aberration and not the new normal.
Great casual bar/restaurant in Lake O. Tacos were great. The bowls were a little less flavorful, but also pretty healthy. Service was mostly good, but our salads came out after we had our main course...I never understand that one. Otherwise good spot for a casual dinner.
We enjoyed our time at Holy Taco. Good menu options and the service was good.
Pretty good dinner overall. Waiter was not as knowledgeable as other servers we have had on previous occasions. Also, he was too quick to bring us the check without asking if we wanted an after dinner drink or coffee, or desserts which of course we did.
I had 2 tacos and they were pretty good tho quite small. My 3 friends all got something different. One friend could not eat hers because it was so spicy hot which was not mentioned on the menu. She told the waiter but there was no mention of her not having to pay for it even though she had about 2 bites. My other two friends said their food was good but not great.I ordered ice cream, but never got it so we finally just paid and left. The music was way too loud and not good music. We could barely hear each other talk. Why not have some nice hispanic music to create the feel of being in Mexico?
First the good, guac, chips and salsa were good. The drinks as well are tasty, if not a bit too strong. Service, food on the other hand? Brought part of our order out and it had clearly been sitting way to long as the top of the tortilla was hard, and the bottom ; soggy and falling out! Why bring out old food! What a way to loose a guest forever! The red rice is tasteless, please help that out, a little chili powder, onion, chick bullion? Something... They did take off the guac but Never, ever bring out old food unless you are trying to fail. Also please replace light blub over table so your guests can see...
The food wasn't very good. Both hot dishes and salads lacked flavor and were overpriced for the quality.
First tie at Holy Taco and I was pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious, service was good and the atmosphere was nice (we sat outside). I like it when it was Zeppo, but think I prefer this menu even more. Looking forward to many more brunches here! Recommended!!!
They live up to there name. Tacos where awesome. Wish I could have eaten more of them. Drinks were a little heavy handed. Other than that service was friendly and genuine. Definitely going to come back to try more of their TACOS.
We return at least every other week just to see what new tacos are on the menu. Please, oh please, put the Fried Chicken Taco on the regular menu! Oh, and for the vegans among us, show a little love and give us something besides the verduras. We need variety too! Overall we always enjoy our visit to Holy - service is usually good, food is tasty and the drinks are delicious, if not a little pricey. That being said, their Pina Colada is one of the best I've had.
The food was terrific and the ambiance was great. Always looking for good Mexican food and now we have a great solution close to us. Highly recommend the chile relanos!
Holy Taco hasn't failed us yet! Their Fried Chicken Tacos were delicious, as was the Razor Clam Taco. My Casecha Salad could have done with a bit less vinegar, maybe it was the pickled jalapenos, but otherwise it was fresh and tasty. Donut Holes (think a denser version of a churro) on the dessert menu were also a hit.
Visited for Cinco de Mayo to try this new taco spot. It was super busy but the hostess greeted us warmly & did all she could to make us feel "at home" while we waited for a preferred booth. So we were seated about 15 minutes later than our reservation but that was understandable given the date. Our waitress was friendly as were all the servers. Guacamole, chips & salsa GOOD; better than any I've had in the Pacific NW for sure. Cesar salad good though they delivered it WITH our entrees when we wanted it as a 2nd course. Husband's mole was tasty (he would have liked more cheese) but enjoyed it. I had their pork tacos; REALLY tasty -- good balance of spices, the meat was plentiful AND WARM, and I love how they serve them -- standing up in these nifty trays! Beverages were great; they made me a lemonade mocktail and I loved it! We will return for sure... just on a quieter night. ;-)
Waitress forgot about us for 30 minutes so we had to ask the hostess who apologized, then we were brought the wrong order twice, then we were brought drinks we didn't order and were charged for them, and finally credit card was run for the incorrect amount but didn't say anything because I didn't want to deal with the hassle of it. Food was good but overall not a great experience
I liked that we weren't smashed into a booth
But had a relaxing meal with great service and a menu with many selections to choose from. We will be back to try a different meal
The only suggestion I would give for the Fish Tacos is to fry the corn tortillas .
This was our 3rd visit to Holy Taco. Being a special occasion, I requested a quiet booth on the back wall when making reservations. We were seated in a booth practically in the kitchen, opposite the bar. It was noisy, hectic, confusing - basically unacceptable for a special birthday occasion. I didn't come here for dinner to watch drinks being made in the bar, or food constantly being brought out of the kitchen. I was also told we would get a special Birthday dessert, which was never offered by our waiter. The kitchen, which I was looking at the entire time I was eating, was filthy and had food all over the floor. It was most unappetizing. At this point, I don't think I would return to this restaurant unless some changes are made!
The new interior that came with the changing concept is quite nice. That's where it ends. The service was attentive. However it comes with a bit of attitude and we couldn't get past how our food was timed. They brought our appetizer with our entrées. When we question that they took our entrées back and left the appetizer. However, they simply set our entrées aside and delivered them again when we are done with the appetizer. So, they made a mistake and we received entrées that showed the deterioration from waiting for us. But they would not have been very good if they had been brought fresh. Overall, much better options available. Too bad.
Excellent service, excellent food, excellent cocktails @ reasonable prices
Subpar Mexican food. Tacos were mediocre at best.
Easy to get seated on a weekend for brunch with a group of friends. Friendly service and tasty food. If looking for an easy and tasty spot without a wait I'll be back.
I really liked this place. The wait staff was amazing, very knowledgeable of their menu and quick to serve. I will DEFINITELY be going back.
Great tasting food that happens to be cuisine of Mexico and environs and not just a good Mexican food restaurant. Large portions, usually wide menu, unique drink offerings that change weekly. Ambiance is just fine and modest by neighborhood standards.
Good food. Great atmosphere. Made our daughter's birthday dinner a truly special occasion.
Nice and convenient place. We like to dine there.
Fun, interesting restaurant! The waiters were very attentive and the food was good. Could have used a little more spice...but still good!
We loved Zeppo and were surprised when the owners switched the venue to Holy Taco, especially given that Hefe (also Mexican) is another favorite and close by. It took us awhile to get out to Holy Taco, and we decided it's not for us. The space, service, ambiance, etc are all wonderful, but if we are up for fresh Mexican, we will always prefer the somewhat more-mainstream Hefe (which is saying something because Hefe isn't traditional "American" Mexican, something that was lost when the Wizer Building loss removed El Ranchito).
Good quality and nice variety of food options but much too expensive for the service and overall experience. I miss Zeppos!
They did not have our reservation from open table. The place was very busy with people waiting. They did find us a booth ahead of others waiting. I chose to give them a high rating for service and the blame on open table, but the opposite may be true.
