Saturday meal was good but while at comedy show our first round of drinks were good but after that they were watered down and filled with ice. We came back For mothers day with our family and we were very disappointed with the food. Portions were very small and the fish had no taste. My sons steak was overcooked with no flavor. We have been members for a few years and iam not sure if we will renew again.
Very overrated
Took way too long in the kitchen
Our food was over cooked
Even knowing it is an old building. There was a very unpleasant smell. The hostess was rude...lectured us on making last minute reservation so we could not expect to change tables. Although many remained empty. Food was just okay for the price. Plate was basically brown food
Will not return.
Great night out on a Wednesday
We went to the Holly Hotel for a birthday celebration for my Dad and brother. Everything about this evening was terrific. The service, cocktails, food and ambiance. It was a wonderful and memorable gathering in a very special place. I am excited to go back to visit the comedy club and try another dinner item from the menu!
Service was timely and friendly. Wines were affordable. The food has been outstanding every time we have been there.
Best coffee around! Service was outstanding, very attentive.
What a perfect way to unwind on a very busy Thursday evening. We made reservations via Open Table an hour before and when we arrived at the Holly Hotel our table was waiting. We opted to sit in the bar for a few minutes as the walls were filled with vintage art work and the candles lit on the bar seemed so inviting...the music circa: 1920's and the bartender was delightfully helpful and served us a perfect manhattan and vodka martini. ORDER THE BAKED BRIE!!!! We were seated near a stain glass window at a table with white linen and fresh alstroemeria. Ever entre was served on a different piece of miss matched vintage china with eclectic artistry. Our waiter was invisible in a good way, as our conversation was never interrupted. It truly felt like we stepped back in time and was one of the best dining experiences in ages~
thank you for such a vivid review. Glad you enjoyed your visit.
Great food. Great people. A dining experience...
Our waiter forgot to turn in our order and let us sit there more than an hour before finding out her mistake. We talked to the manager and she got our order in about 20 minutes. I ordered duck that was undercooked my wife ordered steak medallions that were tasteless and overcooked. We used to eat there several years ago and it was very good but not this time.
It was a cool place to try. The food was not that great tho. I got the white fish and the person I was with got the duck. Both had way too much sauce. The fish plate was sloppy and the veggies were over cooked. If I was at a diner, I would have thought it was good. However, paying a high price for food means that more care needs to go into the plate, and that just didn’t happen. Great atmosphere, great wine list, great service.
I ordered the beef Wellington, when the plate arrived the beef Wellington looked great , besides the demiglaze the was slopped all over the plate. However when I cut into the steak it was still raw in the center. The sliced vegetables were overcooked and had a slimey texture. They took our plates away from the table to be boxed up and returned in a paper bag. Further inspection of the bag showed they just balled the remaining food of ours in tin foil.. together. What a mess. Beautiful building and history though.
First time there was very impressed with the menu and service. Keeping this restaurant on my list of excellent venues for dining.
Great food, but way too expensive. There were a couple courses, but $32 for mediocre whitefish was a bit steep. Expect to pay $100+ (This includes a 20-25% tip) if you have a guest and get any drinks.
Awesome food amd service. Always a pleasure to visit
My husband and I enjoyed a dinner here for our Christmas date night. It was beautifully decorated and the ambiance of Christmas cheer and elegant dinning was exactly what we were looking for. The food and service was excellent and it was an enjoyable evening. The only drawback is that is it pricey (over $100 for two people including dessert and tip), but it was well worth it to us for a special occasion and an evening to remember.
Always enjoy the ambiance, great staff, and seasonal dinners
Everything was great, service was good, food was excellent.
Our server Christine was wonderful, very knowledgeable and attentive. The food was great, with a nice variety for the seven course seafood option.
Very comfortable fine dining with exceptional service, one of a kind ambiance, and excellent food
The ambience can’t be beat. It’s a very pretty, old-fashioned place. I love that they serve beef Wellington because it’s hard to find at restaurants. The apple cider mimosa with cinnamon on the rim was so yummy and appropriate for the season. My husband and I have been there three times and this time we took our kids (aged 11 and 12).
The food was amazing! We love to try the different items they offer on the menu. The Comedy Club after our dinner was a really good time. I highly recommend going to both.
We went for our 1 year anniversary. Our server Robert was amazing. We both chose the chicken strudel, and it was delicious. So happy with our experience!
