Holly Hill Inn
My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary here and it was a phenomenal experience. The service, food and bourbon were all fantastic. Definitely a great place to go for celebrating a special occasion.
Holly Hill Inn has been our favorite choice in this area and it never disappoints
Holly Hill Inn never disappoints. We keep going back and it is consistently excellent. This time we had a quiet table in a quiet room on a not very busy Friday. We went for the Mardi Gras menu. Everything was outstanding but especially remarkable were the oysters on the half shell, the cream of cauliflower soup, and the CHICKEN LIVERS--which I normally would never order but figured if anyone could make me like them it would be the Holly Hill Inn--and was I ever right! Service was quiet and professional. Only little off note was that one of our servers never smiled or acknowledged our thanks. Holly Hill Inn is a local treasure!
New Orleans Jazz Brunch was delicious!! Enjoyed the light jazz which provided a wonderful ambience! Milk punch was spot on and Graham made the service special!
Food and service were absolutely too notch! We went to Holly Hill Inn to celebrate two family birthdays and our experience did not disappoint. Everyone enjoyed their selections from the menu and Jackie took great care of our table.
Unfortunately I did not tip the lady who brought our coats because I had no small bills in my billfold. Next time I will have tip money available. Holly Hill is where I take my friends for a special meal.
Wonderful as always!! Food was delicious and service is always top notch. Great wine menu too.
The southern charm makes every guest feel special. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The cauliflower soup was amazing. The staff presented my 88 year old mother with a birthday card—she’s still showing it off. Thank you for making her birthday special. Everyone loved their meal—with eight dining, we sampled every main course on the menu. Service was well-timed and friendly, wines were affordable.
Frittatas were overdone and dry. Crusted cod was excellent
Very pricy and just average food my filet which I ordered med well was well done, not tender and tasteless.
The four course menu is not reads well but tastes even better! The services warm and friendly
Excellent quality food, unique menu for Valentine's Day and perfect service.
My wife and I have been there several times for Valentines Day.
The food, service and presentation was exceptional on this occasion!
Always a wonderful experience w staff and food; they are proud of what they do—rightfully so!
This is a very special place to dine and we always remember how much pleasure it gives us to have food served at Holly Hill Inn
We love Holly Hill Inn. We were there for Sunday brunch with special friends. The ambiance is lovely. Small dining rooms make for a cozy experience. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. The service was exceptional. We had a wonderful time and will definitely return.
Great night celebrating a pair of Birthdays. Food was wonderful.
Consistently superb food. Typically selections are limited to 3-4 selections for each course but they are usually excellent. Service and ambiance cannot be topped
Exceptional dining experience, food so tasty, service outstanding. Best bread pudding I’ve had.
Graham, our server, took the most wonderful care of us! My husband and I each ordered the 3 course brunch. The price was more than reasonable! And every. single. course. was phenomenal! We will most certainly be back!
Group of six went for brunch to celebrate a 50th Wedding Anniversary and 60 years of friendship. Perfect location.
Service was very friendly. Very prompt. Good prices.
Was fabulous Sunday brunch. So thankful they stayed open for us even though it snowed. Was my sister’s 80th birthday and they made it special!
My husband and I came here for our anniversary this year. The menu set for this season was delightful - it's a fixed menu with limited options and rotates seasonally (disclosure, I knew about this before this visit and made my mind up about which course selections I wanted to try). The room was quiet and perfect for having conversation without feeling like you had to whisper or shout to be heard over other tables. At the end of our meal, the staff brought us a card signed by everyone in the restaurant congratulating us on our anniversary. It made us feel very special.
Had brunch to celebrate my birthday and it was perfect! The food is outstanding, service was great. Can’t wait to go back!
Went to Holly Hill Inn for a birthday dinner. The building is charming, our waitress Shanessa was wonderful, food was A.MAZ.ING! We will for sure be making the journey back.
Only disappointment was the menu the night we went was different than was posted online, but that could be my own comprehension error. Didn't matter, food was still outstanding!!
We had a friend in from out of town and decided to try Holly Hill for the first time on a Saturday night. They were serving the midwinter menu when we visited. Overall, the food was incredible. Two of us had the Brussels sprouts and pork belly salad for the first course. It was very salt, but everything else we tried was great (jumbo prawn and risotto, red snapper, and duck).
The service left a bit to be desired, though. I worked in the service industry for well over a decade. Our server never introduced himself, seemed to struggle opening a bottle of wine, only asked once if he could refill our wine glasses (after we had already pour more ourselves), and just generally seemed distracted. For a restaurant that has received a James Beard award for front of house, I was kind of disappointed in the service.
The food and service were outstanding. A little pricey and the menu was one price for a three course dinner. Four selections for entree.
Absolutely love Holly Hill every time we go. Molly is the best and the food is always excellent!
Great food and service in quaint Midway, KY. Our server was exceptional and perfect timing and attention between courses. Every course was delicious and our steaks cooked perfectly!
New Years Eve at Holly Hill is always a delight. Seven courses paired with a wine flight is always interesting and exceptional. Ouita and her staff are personable and provide great service.
Had been there before for dinner a few times and the menu/food was outstanding. Would probably come again for this type of dining, not necessarily for a occasion such as New Years. The $100 per person was quite expensive, it would have been nice to be able to have a regular meal, order off the menu what we wanted and then a little splurge on a different wine or two for the same amount if not a little less expensive.
It was also very noisy, as I understand you all were packed, but it was still noisy. Our service was just OK, not necessarily the waitress fault, I just think she was trying to do too much for the room we were in and she could not take care of everyone like she wanted. Needed 2 people for the room we were in.
The food was OUTSTANDING which made the visit really good. Thank you.
I always love going to Holly Hill—never fails to impress. Great seasonal menus, all locally sourced.
This has become my go-to for birthdays and anniversaries. After dining on these occasions at Holly Hill, everyplace else seems disappointing. This was my first time for lunch, and as usual, everything was outstanding! I took my mother and daughter and everyone had a wonderful meal. Dining at Holly Hill makes even a lunch seem like a special occasion. We will definitely return!
One of the best meals I have had in a while! It was a great place to go and experience something new.
My first time to Holly Hill Inn but definitely not my last! The service was excellent and ambiance pleasant and relaxed. Loved the Christmas Cod Wellington...cooked to perfection! Definitely worth the drive from Lexington.
Delicious food, attentive service, and charming ambiance.
The food was excellent but the desert was average. We enjoyed this restaurant and look forward to dinning there again.
Holly Hill Inn exceeded our expectations!! The three course holiday dinner menu allowed you and your guests to plan your own courses. They even had wine pairing suggestions which allowed you to relax and enjoy time with your guests.
Thank you for creating such a special Christmas lunch. The menu offered many options, and the food is always enjoyable and impeccable. We appreciate the first class service and kindness toward the grandchildren. This is becoming an annual tradition for our family.
Absolutely wonderful place to go. We drove from Louisville on a sunny day which was quite pleasant. Restaurant easy to find and directly off expressway. Food was outstanding. We split the appetizer. Both my wife and I had the salad. Fresh greens and homemade dressing-orange juice, vinegarette and honey. She had the cod and puff pastry and I had the butternut squash risotto. Both were exceptionally good. The Inn is a transformed older home built in 1845 with quaint atmosphere . It was quiet and relaxing. We had the three-course lunch for $25 each ,which we believed was exceptional value. Will definitely will go there again.
