Deliciously imaginative food prepared from local ingredients and served with warm Bluegrass hospitality in a beautiful 1840s-era country home. We are now serving our four course prix fixe Fall Racing Dinner Menu which features dishes made with local produce and meats and fresh seafood from Florida and beyond. Brunch is served every weekend and includes our classic Eggs Bluegrass Benedict and omelets made with local Stone Fall Farm eggs and Stone Cross Farm sausage and Shrimp and Grits. We are proud to be part of the Ouita Michel Family of Restaurants and a frequent James Beard Awards nominee. The Holly Hill Inn has been featured in publications such as Garden and Gun, Southern Living and the N.Y. Times!

It’s a special place.I think wanting to take someone new to a restaurant is a compliment.You want people to experience Holly Hill if they have never been there.

Chef Ouita’s iconic restaurant NEVER disappoints. The food is always AHMAZING, the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, and the experience is always sublime but never stuffy. I love the food, whether it’s brunch or dinner, every dish is well executed, clean, and not fussy or pretentious. There’s a quiet thoughtfulness to Holly Hill that always makes the food and the people worth the trip.

Definitely a special place to have dinner. The New Orleans themed menu was delicious! We love our server Molly, we have known her a long time, she is gracious and efficient.

As usual, the meal and the service were exceptional. It is amazing how Quita Michael and the kitchen staff always develop unique menu items that are perfectly executed and delicious. In addition, my wife is vegetarian and there are always vegetarian options that are delicious and not an afterthought like you may find in other establishments. I would highly recommend Holly Hill to anyone that appreciates excellent food and great service in a beautiful setting.

We attended a Spanish Wine Dinner and it was wonderful. The menu was very interesting and wine selection excellent. I hope they repeat the event soon.

I highly recommend adding this to yourmust stop list” of off the beaten path places to dine! The Quail was awesome, the citrus salad has been on my mind everyday since I had it.... perfect place to take your significant other for a memorable dining experience!

Our meal at Holly Hill Inn (we had brunch) was one of those dining experiences against which you measure future meals. The building itself, set out on a quiet road in Kentucky horse country, oozes class and sports two of the largest holly trees I've ever seen along the front walk. Upon entry, staff at the Inn don't miss a beat and you enjoy all those fun little service tricks you get at nice restaurants (like the hostess taking your coat for you). The dining room, which feels more like an old-timey parlor, is filled with softly chatting southerners and each table is lit by a single warmly glowing oil lamp. And then there is the food. Kudos to the chef. Everything has been made from scratch by someone who has clearly studied with the finest masters. I should have expected this, having been made well aware of the James Beard Award the restaurant was recently given, but you always have doubts until you actually try it when visiting someplace new. We were first given complementary bite size biscuits and little cranberry scones which tasted like they had just come out of the oven. Fresh butter gave the light, airy dough just what it needed to get me ready for more. Next up was a quartet of those same biscuits (you gotta have plenty of biscuits when you're in the south) with fresh (probably local) ham and homemade pear jam. For the main course it was perfectly seared scallops with bacon chunks over softly scrambled eggs and the best cheese grits you ever had. My wife went a bit more traditional, and got the scrambled eggs, bread and sausage, but the sausage was made of quail and duck (!!!) and the English muffin was homemade. I can't say that I've ever had a homemade English muffin before (though I saw them do it on Great British Baking Show once). Amazing. Oh, and also the desserts and drinks were great too, but I'm running our of space here. All in all, 10 out of 10. Also, visit Woodford Reserve Distillery afterward, which is nearby. A great day in horse country.

We very much enjoyed our time at Holly Hill Inn. Our only complaints were that our server was not very attentive or personal. Since that was our first time to Holly Hill Inn, we didn't know what to expect or what was good on the menu. She didn't offer any help in food selections and didn't seem to know the menu very well. Our food, however, was delicious and we both left full. It was a little on the pricey side, but looking back, we did receive quite a bit of food. We also participated in the Valentine's Weekend brunch special and ordered champagne, which definitely added to the cost. Overall, this is a wonderful restaurant with an amazing selection of food and beverage, good quality food and a beautiful ambiance!

Seated us next to large table of ladies who were very loud. Waiter served two of us, then did large table next to us their dessert before bringing rest of our entrees. Food great but was disappointed with atmosphere.

Very nice environment. Food came out fresh cooked and hot. With just a few minutes between food came out in 4 courses just enough in between to be ready for the next. Restaurant clean and staff very helpful and friendly. Can’ wait to go again.

I love the relaxed feel of the inn. We had the four course Bourbon Ball Dinner--it was fantastic! I had the chicken, and my husband had the short ribs--both were great and the presentation of each course was wonderful! I would highly recommend!

We had high expectations and were excited about finding a new option for special occasions and out of town guests. To be honest, we were disappointed and didn't see the value in this $145 meal. Menu is limited. Food was good, but not great. Temp in dining room was so cold that my wife had to keep her coat on throughout meal.

This is a wonderful location, tucked away on a small estate. The Inn is warm and welcoming and the staff are attentive and professional. It was quiet and peaceful and lots of historical items to observe as well as art. A Kentucky treasure!

We had a lovely dinner on this, our first time visit, to this beautiful old home restaurant . While the menu is somewhat limited, the food was beautifully presented and exceeded our expectation. The carpaccio and bitter green and fruit salad were particularly notable. We will be returning on our future visits to Kentucky.
