Best place in Manitowoc 10/10. Highly recommend.
Two items on menu were not available early into the evening. Shepherd’s Pie was really an Irish Stew. Very good food. Little light on quantity for the price. Easy to online reserve. Several selections of an excellent Wisconsin whiskey, Driftless Glen, available.
Hi Dano, The only thing a ran out of was the Veggie burger. It WAS a shepherds pie, using lamb leg/shoulder, no beef or Guinness. Having grown up in a large Irish Catholic family, I do know the difference. I do apologize that you feel it was light on the size but I felt it was adequate portion with 6 oz of lamb and 6 oz of vegetables not counting the mashed potatoes, I would like to offer you a $10 gift card with the hopes of fixing any displeasure. Please contact me at the restaurant -Chef Myke
It has been a number of months since since we have been to the Manitowoc area and dined at Holla, but my daughter begged me to go back as she remembered how good it was last year when we visited. Holla did not disappoint - the service was top notch and the food was creative & delicious. We started with the Beet Bruschetta (very good flavor combination). I had the Veggie Pizza and loved the unique toppings of shaved brussels & cauliflower. My husband and daughter shared two entrees - the Brisket Sammy & the Carnitas Tacos. They couldn't decide which was better. We will definitely dine there again whenever we return to the area.
Always fresh great food.
Amazing food and intimate atmosphere
Food was great!
Too many spicy entrees on the menu. 4 out of 5. Not everyone likes cayenne pepper.
I understand, sometimes it’s hard because things like my Moroccan spice blend has over 12 different spices in the mix, so I can’t expect the servers to remember all of them especially when there are other dishes that are layered with flavor. I really try to suppress a lot of spice because I am familiar with the demographic in our area is sensitive to heat. As to the Moroccan flavors I would define them as deeply robust, and rich (for future reference) ,again, thank you for dining with us.
Everything was perfect! I was so excited at the lunch the next day to have my leftovers! Loved all the gluten free options! Thank you! We can’t wait to go back!
Enjoyed our special experience. Tasty food, but pricey for smaller portion.
Holla never fails to impress us! From the friendly hostess to the attentive waitress (Meg is awesome) to the warm and friendly owner and of course the genius chef, it is a great restaurant. They have interesting cocktails, a nice wine list and an ever changing menu.
Delicious, outstanding flavors as always. Lovely windows.
Holla was immaculate, seating was well spaced. I had the Squash Steaks w Kale and it was so good, Drinks good as always, sweet waitress
Can’t wait til our next visit!
Holla never disappoints! Creative dishes made primarily with locally sourced ingredients.
Service was below average. My waitress had approximately 2 tables yet my drink stayed empty until I asked, I even stood at the door waiting to be seated for 10 minutes awkwardly while someone stood with their back to me wiping off menus and the bartender walked dirty glasses to the back of house and made their way around the restaurant cleaning off tables. My view was direct to the kitchen where my pizza sat on the counter for over 20 minutes waiting for my husband's entree to cook. The crust was cold and soggy. I think of Holla for every special occasion, but to say I was disappointed this time would be an understatement.
Hi Mrs. Palomino, Im sorry you two had issue with the service. When you came on 9/26 for your 7 pm. reservation you arrived at 6:42. As for your wait time I apologize, after reviewing the video we noticed you were kind of hidden in the entryway by our "Please see Hostess" sign, which is high traffic area. I saw that you eventually came to the hostess station, at which point my Wife/Bartender sat you at 6:49. As for your pizza, PLEASE email me and I will treat you to a new one. -Chef Myke
We ate outside. Be sure to have a reservation
I do not normally complain, but I truly want this restaurant to succeed as I support what they are doing. We were excited to try Holla, and requested to sit outside. The table and chairs were covered in spider webs. We ordered drinks, and as we sat waiting for the drinks we realized the entire seating area was covered in well established spider webs and lairs. This was a turn off for us and we decided to finish our drinks and leave. It's like going to a place with a dirty bathroom, you wonder what the kitchen looks like. Holla, you have a great idea and a beautiful setting, it just needs a little TLC. We will try you again.
We truly apologize for your uncomfortable experience. We definitely sprayed all of the tables and chairs with sanitizer that day before service & none of us had noticed. I did notice later that evening up in the corners of the pergola & I swooshed them away. I personally don't have arachnophobia but if it was a problem for you then we could have taken care of right then. And I assure you that spiders on our patio has nothing to do with the cleanliness of our kitchen or bathroom. Especially now!
Very good food and friendly owners. They locally source everything and the menu changes regularly. Best restaurant in Manitowoc by far.
Beautiful restaurant. We were greeted immediately when we entered. But had to wait quit awhile to receive our drink order and there were no sauce options either for the homemade chips.
Our fish tacos were delicious, and the pizza was good. But a longer than normal wait time to receive those items too.
Excellent service, beautiful view , and really good food.
Every dish I have ever had from Holla has been outstanding; the chef really knows what he is doing with the balance of flavors.
Fabulous as usual. We both had the salmon and grits. Such an amazing dish! I savored every mouthful. Thanks for a peerless experience.
Love the good vibes that go into the whole experience! Friendly staff, locally sourced foods, creative menu, exquisite presentation and mouth watering tastes!
Mushroom pasta was 5 star! Wine also outstanding.
Great local, farm to table restaurant with reasonable prices and friendly service.
Service and dinner were fantastic. Dessert was better than both!
Great food and atmosphere. I always find friends there!
Moved here a year ago from our nation’s capital and it’s been difficult to find a place for great food. Don’t get me wrong, there are several restaurants in Manitowoc that have special appeal; but, when it comes to Amazing food and Great customer service: Holla wins hands down. Makes me feel like I’m back home (born and raised in the District of Columbia).
The food was amazing, beautiful presentation. Love that it is all local and healthy
Creative, tasty and healthy food was had by us at Holla on Tuesday night. The stuffed mushroom with quinoa and the shephard's pie were delicious. Thank you.
We enjoyed our dining experience. Great service, drinks and tasty food.
We enjoy the farm to table experience that Holla provides. The food is always great tasting and has fun twists with the ingredients. The Chef comes out and talks to the people at the end of the night and will answer your questions about the dishes. We will continue going back!
I live in Chicago and this is my go to restaurant whenever I am in the area visiting family. Food and service are always great.
I find the overhead fluorescent lights to be too bright at night. I feel like I am in an office.
Even though I don't like the fluorescent lighting, the food and service will keep me coming back.
We have been fans of Myke and Shannon since their Wrap It Up days. H
Wonderful service and food! Our group ordered the salmon special of the evening, a wood fired house-made sausage pizza, and fish tacos. Everything was delicious.
Great food, lovely atmosphere. Fair pricing. I have dined here several times and the food is filled with flavor. I just wish they were open a bit later.
Really Enjoyed the Farm to Table menu. The food was delicious and appropriate dinner portions. Manitowoc needs a place like this for quality and delicious seasonal food.
We absolutely love this place! Great food! We are never disappointed.
Love that the menu changes daily!
We came across Holla accidently on our way from Chicago to Door County looking on open table for some place where we could make a reservation so that we wouldn’t have to wait. It turned out to be a really “awesome” experience.
The food was very tasty and the service was excellent. We had the fired shrimp, fall salad, and coconut curry with chicken. For desert we had a yummy chocolate flourless cake. All the food was served in a gourmet presentation.April our server was very friendly and kind. Mike the owner was very personable and came to our table to chat. The atmosphere was very relaxing. I understand that during the summer there’s a great patio with a view of the river. We plan to return to experience this. Also there is a lot of parking. We highly recommend Holla for a great meal and excellent service.
