   Catfish was dripping in grease and did not come out until about 20 minutes after my husband’s. Waiter was apologetic and did not charge for it but I left hungry.

   We tried Holman & Finch for St Patty’s, it was SO GOOD. All of it! The service was like Top Rate, the design of the place is just spectacular and the food was increíble!10/10 recommend!🥰

   Nice restaurant in downtown Asheville. Lovely ambience and our server Zane was on point and very engaging! Bone Marrow was a bit under cooked and needed a bit of salt. It did not pull away from the bone when attempting to scoop it out. Should be velvety and smooth to spread on the toast!! Burgers were flavorful and we enjoyed the tar tar!

    Everything was exceptional; my main course (chicken livers w/grits) , though, was majorly delayed. The server was very accommodating and in the end it was worth the wait!

    Waiter was good. Food didn’t come out together, drinks took far too long. Overall mediocre, especially for the price. Won’t be back anytime soon.

    We were a bit disappointed with this visit, as we've been here before and it was better. The cocktails, wine and seafood were quite good. However, we find the new(ish) menu just doesn't have food choices we prefer. There is no chicken anywhere, and not enough green salads. I know they pride themselves for their non-traditional protein options (sweetbreads, brains, bone marrow), but boy did a lot of cheeseburgers come out of the kitchen. I opted for the cheeseburger and fries and it was such a let down. While the burger had good flavor; the meat was overcooked. And the fries were a total loss. They were so overcooked and had no soft potatoey inside. I had previously had the burger back when it was H&F and it was perfect. Also, H&F used to have great fried chicken. This would be a great addition to the current menu. As things stand, we don't think we will return any time soon.

    Our experience here was good! The restaurant is awesome and we had a great server. The reason for the three stars on the food and service was due to finding paper in our pimento cheese appetizer. I was chewing and pulled it out of my mouth. Our waitress did bring us another one, but there was no recognition from a manager or any sort of attempt at making things right. I don’t know if it was a lack of communication or what, but the customer service could have been better. Other than that, good experience.

    This was our second visit and no where near as nice as our first. Service was off, there were exceptionally long period of time where our server seemed to ignore us. Our dinner drinks came out after we reminded our server about them and after we finished our dinner, with no apology. And other tables had more timely service. Our server tried to give us the check before asking if we'd like dessert or coffee. I guess he wanted to turn the table.

    It was a fantastic experience, minus the actual food. Lovely ambiance, quick food service, and excellent staff! They were all welcoming, informative, and personable. Sadly, I didn’t enjoy the bland squash casserole that tasted like eggs, the overly drenched herb and greens, and the Cava wine that was just “different” from what I've had at other places. I will add that I scanned the room a few times, and everyone else seemed to enjoy their meal, so it could have just been me.

    Food portions at dinner could be increased but as far as the taste and presentation, could not be more pleased. Service was excellent. After making reservations 2 weeks prior, I had to increase the number attending and the staff was able to accommodate the changes.

    We visited Asheville to see the Aquila theater company perform two back to back shows and celebrated their success at Sunday brunch! Our server Quinn was a gem- very patient and answered all our questions! I took his recommendation of the Eggs Benedict and was delighted! My son had the Southern fried chicken and the portion was huge but he loved the crunch and his girlfriend had the H and F breakfast with a French omelette and the homemade bacon was out of this world! We loved the vibe and the decor and music was so upbeat! Will definitely be back here again👏

    The food was excellent. My husband and I recommend getting a charcuterie board, oysters, bone marrow, and carbonara. All of this felt like a four course meal and we ended the night with one of the shakes! It was a fantastic experience to celebrate an early valentine’s day.

    Great Food…Not in the best of locations. My wife and I enjoyed a great lunch at this place. There wasn’t a large selection of items, but we enjoyed the cheeseburgers we had. I wasn’t a big fan of the location. There were a number of homeless folks around and the overall atmosphere downtown Asheville is not very pleasant…dirty, graffiti, homeless folks, lots of political messages. I would eat here again if we go downtown Asheville, but doubt I’d go downtown Asheville unless necessary.

    We were ready to hate this place, it seemed overhyped and pretentious, with Atlanta prices. We were surprised that we received warm, friendly service from (male bartender with a short Mohawk) and the food was wonderful. We came in for Sunday brunch because that menu offered more options for us and were one of three tables, lowering the price of mimosas and Bloody Marys could bring in more business. We hope you make it here!
