Food was fantastic, service was very friendly - would definitely go again!
What a great place! We had so much fun the drinks were so good! And the servers were all
Knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming.
I came for a birthday dinner, which I had noted in my reservation, and was so well taken care of from the moment we arrived. The food was FANTASTIC, I love tapas style. But our server was so warm and extremely good at making us feel comfortable and even treated us to some pina coladas for my birthday. Can't wait to come back!
I had wanted to try this restaurant and the food was fine. I’m not sure I would rush back. One thing to note is they give a very small pour on a $12 glass of wine. And no dessert. We went across the street and had another glass of wine and dessert.
Drinks were great, food was great, staff was great, date was great.
Incredible food, vibe, service, and value. Sharing is caring, especially if you have a large group. We had a crew of 6 and ending up splitting 9 different dishes. The Burger is spectacular. Kimchi Fried Rice, fried chicken, spicy tuna sushi were other highlights. Not an expensive place to dine for how great the food and service is. Highly recommended!
This restaurant is delightful - creative, unique, and delicious. Funky fun casual atmosphere and insanely good drinks and food! Try the Brussels sprouts ;)
Had a wonderful meal last Friday night 12/17. The staff and chefs are first rate, especially our server, Kai. Highly recommend!
This was my first experience at Hojoko> I loved the ambience and food. We got to sit by the window overlooking the city.
Hojoko's is so hip and the food, fabulous. I am vegan and I had the choice of so many delicious dishes.
They also made me a fun non-alcoholic drink.
I will be back!
We had a wonderful meal. The food was great, the vibe was excellent. Can’t wait to go back
The sushi is great, and the wagyu burger is a must have.
Hojoko is phenomenal - delicious food and super fun atmosphere.
AWESOME! Fun great food!
It was great exciting to be in such a vibrant setting on a week night, food was awesome and service was really great. The servers checked in regularly and but never felt rushed to order. Delicious recommendations as well.
Food was excellent. Noise level was higher than I would have liked but that may be because we were seated close to a couple of speakers. Drinks were good but the bar was backed up…. Could be due to personnel shortage… so I will give them a pass on that.
Service. Hospitality. Engaging. Delicious. Perfect. 10 out of 10 ❤️
My favorite place to eat in Boston!
Fantastic restaurant, love the vibe and the food. Will be coming back as a regular for sure.
Food was so yummy !! Everything came out so quickly and our server was very nice and checked on us frequently but not too much!
fun spot with a great vibe and drinks menu. sushi and small plates (shrimp toast and okonomiyaki especially) were terrific. didn't think the burger lived up to the hype or the price point (and my friend's arrived nearly raw, though server and manager were very kind and apologetic). will return to try more of the small plates for sure
The hostess said happy anniversary.
Food was excellent. Our server was not so great. Pretty much ignored us after we reminded her that one of us still hadn't received their entrée after about 40 minutes.
Apparently there was a fryer down she did not tell us about. The manager made it right though. The food we did get was excellent.
Thank you for a wonderful evening…great service, food and drinks!
I realize things are still post-COVID, so don’t want to be too harsh, but service (though very nice) was slow and somewhat inattentive. Everything was a little off (there was, for example, a dirty steak knife in the middle of the dining room floor, which our server stepped right over without a thought … I picked it up and walked it to
the server station; no attempts to refill our water or come back to ask if we wanted more drinks… etc.). The security out front (with ID checks) is bonkers. Menu is somewhat pared-down from what I remember. Just felt a little sad - like this restaurant is late-stage and needs some love - which is terrible because it’s my favorite restaurant in Boston.
We were served a piece of raw chicken.
Food was great but selection was limited. The service was excellent.
We love hojoko. So creative, so much fun, delicious food and an enjoyable experience
10/10 experience. The decor and the restaurant itself are so trendy and fun. The food was so yummy. You should order the kimchi fried rice, it was mouth watering. Also, the fish in their sushi is so fresh, I could tell as soon as I saw it.
Just get everything. It's all the best.
Great restaurant, and perfect place before a Red Sox game.
Great spot. My children and I enjoyed it a lot. I would recommend it.
Always love a visit to Hojoko!
The food at Hojoko is amazing. The flavor combinations are phenomenal - everything is so delicious. We ate most items on the menu - the sushi, the small plates - brussels, cauliflower, kimchi fried rice, wings, ramen - it was all amazing. Our favorite was the shrimp kimchi fried rice. I've eaten at Hojoko many time and took out of town guests last night and it did not disappoint. Top quality and inventive. Most Boston restaurants are basic with your more inventive restaurants in Cambridge and Somerville and this is one of the best on the Boston side of the river.
No better place to hang out with friends following an event at Fenway. Great service, great atmosphere, and the best "bar food" in town. It's our go-to place in Back Bay for casual dining and drinks.
Was delicious and we had great service! My only constructive criticism was that the music was loud and explicit.
As someone who has lived in Japan and always wanted to see casual food/drinking izakaya in Boston, Hojoko is a dream come true. Every item came out hot from the kitchen and some were creative takes on Japanese originals. Fried chicken was excellent as was the eggplant, the sushi, etc. The okonomiyaki was a bit undercooked but it was unusual. Service was fantastic and our young server went out of her way to make us comfortable. I can't wait to go back there and treat my children!!
I love this restaurant. They have awesome cocktails and an innovative menu. Their servers are all outstanding and very friendly.
It was kinda expensive for what it was but lovely outdoor space and good food. So I would definitely go again.
Great service, great food and security was really nice to us! We haven’t been to Hojoko since before COVID, but we returned this past weekend and they did not let us down. Their patio was great for outdoor dining and we will be back soon!
