Hofbrauhaus Las Vegas Beer Hall & Beer Garden Ratings and Reviews
It is always nice for us to visit the Hofbrauhaus in LV for a decent German meal. The food is authentic and the atmosphere is almost like in Munich’ s original. Wurstsalat is 5/5, Riesenbrezel with sweet mustard 5/5. Get the liter of Hofbrau Bier to wash it all down! Prosit!!
This place is loud and crazy but has great beer and food. Don't plan on having a romantic night or a quiet conversation. Plan to watch people get paddled, beer stein holding contests, sing alongs and people dancing on tables. It's never boring and we come every time we're in town.
"Loud American DJ music"
"What a disappointment"
"We survived it"
These are just a few of the comments from the group of 8 that initially were extremely excited about going to the Hofbrauhaus. Two are from Germany. Many of us have German immigrant parents. And I just came of a 42 gig Oktoberfest season and was finally looking forward to being on the other side.
The accordion/guitar music was pleasant to listen to. Personally, I was pleased with the two, and so were a couple others. But, half the group was expecting more "entertainment" and not just background music. Unfortunately, we could not hear the singing. It would have been a simple sound system fix, but it's tough for musicians on stage to determine what is coming out across the room. Someone else in the establishment could help out.
The Beer drinking competition was fun to watch. Half of us had been to the Hofbrauhaus before (5 years ago) and remembered the band and band break music very positively. There was NO DJ Music. As a group we reluctantly agreed that maybe one or two songs would have been acceptable, but it went on for ever, and during that time, no one could converse without yelling. Why do you not hire a band break entertainer that can play music?
To end on a positive note, everybody enjoyed their food. Unfortunately, we ended up going back the hotel for drinks and dessert instead of enjoying time at the Hofbrauhaus which was the original intent.
The Hofbrauhaus is boisterous, rowdy, and fun. Don't go there if you want quiet conversation or a relaxed dining experience. Don't be a dud - order something authentically German instead of getting a "safe" steak or something familiar. You won't regret it.
What more can you say? The Hofbrauhaus Las Vegas absolutely nails feel of the German location of the same name. Vibrant, happy, a non -stop party. The beer is imported daily, making everything seem that much more authentic. Don't stop at the beer though. The food cannot be beat. I cannot recommend the Hofbrauhaus enough!
Great experience!! Would definitely come back. My only complaint was we kept waiting for our dinner. Finally asked and server said that food tray had dropped but they were remaking and would be coming up shortly. Finally after another 20 minute wait which now totaled 45 it came. Delicious! Atmosphere was great but we had been really hungry. Bill came and I asked if it would be adjusted due to wait. She said no that it was out of their control. I said it wasn’t within our control either. Asked for manager and server came back and offered $5. It was fine but shouldn’t have been so difficult. Loved the restaurant and would go back but would arrive not as hungry.
We just moved from Germany and wanted to compare this Hofbrauhaus to the original in Munich. My daughters loved their schnitzel and steaks. The pomme fritz (fries) didn't taste anything like German fritz and they did not have German Mayo on hand to eat the fries with. Since they import the sauerkraut from Germany, which was delicious, it seems like importing the mayo would be easily achieved. Overall, it was a nice reminder of our days in Germany, minus the obnoxious corner table. Yes, it's fest time, but the actual fest event didn't begin until 7pm, not 11am.
With reservation the first offered table was outside at the “indoor” beer garden (disappointing) BUT after asking the service lady they managed to find seats for two inside the main beer hall were keeg taping happens and the live Bavarian band are performed (this was the main reason for placing a reservation!!) finally nice seats with local guys from Vegas and a lot of fun together
My parents are visiting from Pennsylvania and my dad had heard about Hofbrauhaus from a friend at home. I am SO GLAD he recommended it. We had a great time and the food was stellar! The live band was so fun and the atmosphere is really awesome. It's only a short drive off the strip, and plenty of ubers/lyfts were dropping off/picking up when we arrived and left. It's definitely worth the few bucks to grab your friends and head over there!
