Fun place, great service but music is WAY TOO LOUD!!
I read previous reviews saying the same, and can’t understand WHY management doesn’t address this? I was going to bring it up to our server (Who by the way was terrific) but it wasn’t her problem to fix. The accordionist’s volume needs to be LOWERED. Won’t be returning unless eating outside.
It’s often too loud downstairs, but we got to sit upstairs so it was very enjoyable.
Love the inside of this restaurant. The corned beef sandwich was so lean and flavorful.
We did have a large party of 12, we wanted to split the bill 4 ways, the server was not able to do that she said. We let her know at the beginning of the meal before we ever ordered. I'm not sure why this was such an issue. I've never had this problem before. Overall the experience was wonderful. Everyone had a great time, just made it difficult to figure out the bills at the end. Food was wonderful. The music was a little overpowering and we had a hard time talking to one another but it is a bier hall. :)
Great atmosphere outside, even with a biker event showing up! My one complaint is the uniforms for women show enough cleavage to make people uncomfortable. And waitress did not check back with us frequently.
Try it you will love it.
Normally this would be a 5-star rating! However when they turned on the TV volume for the game the nosie level was uncomfortable. Do not seat people in the first rows of tables if you do that in the future. We usually stay longer, not tonight.
Love this place. Great atmosphere and delicious food
Great food variety and Beer choices are lovable. The servers are very helpful in suggestions because the menu choices are many. Overall, great service.
The food is always delicious and large portions. Volume level is pretty loud but you don’t have to worry about the little ones making too much noise.
Shelby was a fantastic waitress!
Felt bad for the entertainer as it was a bit hard to hear him. But he was wonderful!
Everyone was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Answered any and all questions we asked. Our waitress went above and beyond. We had a birthday and brought little hats just for fun. We took one, put on her head and wore it around for a bit.
The food was so good. Everything was fresh and served hot to order.
Will we go back, you better believe it. (Still have a few dishes I want to try)
Service was great. Food was phenomenal. Took my husband for his birthday and we loved it. Our waitress was one of the best we’ve ever had. We will be back!
Great food and atmosphere!
The food and service are terrific.
The noise level on Friday evening is over the top!
Made reservation but they could not find it which caused some confusion with our other party that came in after us. Main floor was reserved completely.Sat upstairs. Service was excellent, food was good. The hall got very load and air temp was cold.
Great food. Great bier. Great service. Great restaurant.
I always love the Hofbrauhaus. The food is fantastic and my kids love dancing to the live music.
My only complaint is they let people smoke out in the bier garden. One or 2 smokers can really stink up a nice area!
A wonderful place, but very noisy. Difficult to carry on a conversation at your table. The food was absolutely delicious, and our waiter was wonderful. The beer was great, too! Overall a fun place.
I have gone here once a month since we found the place. We haven’t had any problems with the food or the beer. I use Open Table when we are going with someone. Usually on Sunday afternoon we get right in.
Took my family there to celebrate my daughters birthday. Booking the reservation through OpenTable was flawless, and we actually arrived about 20 minutes early and were seated right away—I noticed they were turning people away when we got there so I’m glad I made the reservation. Overall great experience, food was stellar and so was the ambiance. Only slight markdown is the noise level, it is a very loud restaurant due to the activities going on, so don’t expect to be able to have a lengthy conversation. It was also kind of expensive overall ($110 for family of 4), but the plates were full of food and like I said the food was very good. I will definitely be going back.
Food was over cooked and truly nothing special. We’ve dined in other locations and have always enjoyed the food. But not on this occasion unfortunately.
Everything about this place is amazing! The oldest beer this month is so good and the food is always terrific!
It was loud and the food was not all that tasty for the price.
Only go once every month or two, but I love this place. You can taste the quality in beer and food (not processed garbage like most places). Wish I could have taken some Oktoberfest home with me, but you know...laws.
Great food, great beer but the main floor is LOUD when it’s full!
Too loud for me to hearing anyone. The music never stopped. I enjoyed the music and loved watching people dance, but it was not conducive to conversation.
Fun festive environment with authentic German food
Great place for any occasion! Service was fantastic! Food was great! Can’t wait to return soon!
We were seeing a show at the playhouse, saw the lovely outdoor patio area and couldn’t resist! We celebrated my parents 29th anniversary of a couple litres of beer and some delicious fried foods. The host out front were awesome! And our server Eric was a peach! We will definitely be coming back and bringing our friends!
Loved it! Everything was great! Plus our server Melissa was fantastic.
we were celebrating 4 family birthdays and had a great time. The food is always so good and my 3 grandkids loved the place
Way too loud, it's impossible to talk to someone sitting next to you.
Went to dinner with extended family to celebrate my daughter’s departure for college. We sat at a large table in the Bier Garten (patio). It was just like being in Munich! Soccer on TV, I had Sweinerabraten and a cream puff! Everyone enjoyed their food, from young to old. Service was good. Just a heads-up though... even though it’s technically legal for a parent to buy alcohol for their 18+ children so long as both are present at the table, the law also gives an establishment the ability to insist that all parties are 21+. So we couldn’t order beer for the 20 year olds, but that’s fine. Everything was great and we would return in a heartbeat!
This is our first time visiting the restaurant. We had an early reservation and decided to sit in the outside Biergarten. Service was attentive and the food came out quick. Portion sizes were more than expected and was prepared as described on the menu. We had the the Giant Pretzel Combo, Bauern Schnitzel, and the Jäger Spätzle. All were delicious. We returned the next day for a beer just for the atmosphere at the Biergarten.
The best reason to go to HB is the festive German environment. The food and service was average at best, but you can’t beat the big beers, music and fun crowd.
We went on family night so I should have expected it would be noisy, but it really was extremely loud in there. Food was decent, it's nice that they hold a family night monthly, but overall the atmosphere was just too chaotic for enjoyment. I also felt bad for the people whose access to their table was blocked by those of us waiting in line for a balloon animal.
Food was awesome and beers were great. Hefeweizen is one of the best I have had. Server did an excellent job.
My boyfriend and I ate here one Saturday night and we loved it! Their beer and food are amazing. The Schnitzel is definitely worth trying. The creme puffs are to die for! Great service and awesome atmosphere. Will definitely come back again!
